Light and Dark is consider an element as well. Maybe the Dojutsus are using some form of dark or light element combined with orignial elements.

hmm… my (unrequested) thoughts are…
Kekkei Genkai= abilities linked to your genetic make up (ie tied to your chakara affinity types)
mixing 2 elements into 1 new type = Bloodline Limit
(ie earth+water= wood or water+wind= ice) chakra^2
mixing 3 elements into 2 new types (only using 2 each like above) = 2 Bloodline Limits
(ie like other female kage or having wood and ice) 2 chakra^2
mixing 1 element into 1 new type (or mixing 3 elements into 1) = Bloodline Expansion
(ie mixing fire into dust) chakra^3

In order for my theory to work, the female kage should technically have 3 bloodline limits. Then again, maybe it was already difficult to master 3 elements as well as master 2 of the bloodline limits.
perhaps she can only mix the adjacent 2 elements together :wonder: or…
she can only mix her primary element with the other two she has mastered
either scenario would leave her with 3 elements and 2 bloodline limits
but if we’re both wrong on bloodline expansion being 3 elements in one…
then bloodline expansion could be the mixing of 2 non adjacent elements into one.

Bloodline expansion is combining 3 elements in the Rock Kage’s case, Earth, fire, wind (,water, heart), in the Mizukage’s case she can only combine 2 elements at a time so she has two bloodline limits not a bloodline expansion.

for the “word” thing with those brothers, I’m guessing it’s because Darui said Samui’s name (which translates to cool in japanese).
When she explained the jutsu she just said “we” so maybe she means if anyone touched by the rope (or even just anyone?) said the word, even if it was someone else’s, it activates
Atsui (which means hot/warm in JP) said Hot! If I had the original japanese text I bet it would’ve been him originally saying atsui.

As someone mentioned earlier, now Darui needs to avoid saying “dull” which…translates to darui in japanese.

i think it was already kinda established that those characters samui/atsui/darui (“cool”, hot, sluggish/dull) tend to make puns(or simply just using words) using their own name…
as for why samui got sucked in, i doubt its because darui said her name, since its not like when darui said her name she got immediately sucked in. gotta be something else… hope they will explain it in the next chapter.
I know what samui means (not cool)…but obviously there’s one more place for error with the people who translated it to english…like I said the original japanese kanji/kana would confirm or not. (I’m guessing Samui and Atsui and Darui’s name are in katakana much like other names in naruto and that when they spoke those words [through their life] it was in kanji/hiragana)
I knew don’t think they were discussed anywhere in the comic…and on here I think people only talked about the darui one (sure samui in JP was discussed here)
also, it’s not like samui did anything and got sucked in immediately. not saying you’re wrong but that is a bad example because you don’t have proof of the opposite to base your assumption on in that situation. there could be no delay if there’s nothing to start it from. she got sucked in without anything happening immediately before…but we had stuff happening a bit before…so that is more believable imo
my nitpick wasnt aimed at the translator/or anyone else but the original mangaka(who forced the wordplay of cold to cool imo).
i dont know, its just that atsui got sucked in immediately after he said “too hot”, while after darui said her name, then were followed by 2 pages of action before she got sucked in. sure, its believable that she got sucked in because darui said her name, i just said i doubt its that… obviously i could be wrong…
oh and theres no such thing as speak in “hiragana/kanji”…
I’m saying, how do you know the mangaka tried to play it off as cool? well, if you only read the english translations? Unless you’ve read the original japanese pages, I’m guessing the association with “cool” is what the english translator made.

well obviously the manga is written…so they’re speaking of the words would be in kana or kanji

hiragana/kanji is related to writing, theres no difference in calling someones name in hiragana or kanji, its not possible actually. the reason samui or atsui or darui are written in katakana instead of hiragana/kanji (if i have to make an educated guess)is their names have meanings in japanese and if its written normally, its going to confuse the “readers”.
anway i only made the comment since you said “when they spoke those words [through their life] it was in kanji/hiragana”… which doesnt really make much sense.

I know what you’re trying to say LOL about speaking in kanji. I’m saying that doesn’t to a comic where words spoken are written down. so while pronounced the same (as it’s “speaking”) Atsui(name) would be written as ??? but when he said that’s “hot” he probably was shown as “saying” “??”.
obviously this distinction would mean nothing to the naruto characters but it means something to the readers.

Instead of saying “darui” (TN: dull) repeatedly, he says “sorry” instead.
Darui doesn’t get sucked into the gourd, he slashes at Ginkaku who then slams into Koukinjou. Darui steals the seven star sword and the gourd.
Ginkaku gets sucked into the gourd.
