All the character that can fall under “evil” are pretty much crazy… Oro (trying to live forever trying to learn all jutsu) Sasori…(crazy, sadist) Hidan, kakuzu Zaz (crazy mercs). The rest of the bad guys have been either kids that have been twisted or guy’s with there own sense of how to create a peaceful “ninja world”
I think what you’re trying to say here is that many of the main protagonists (Naruto, Madara, Jiraiya, Pein, Sasuke, etc), all have slightly similar goals in a general sense. Everyone wants to stop war, bring about peace, and end the ninja struggle.
The goal that most are missing about this is that there exists a strong “means to an end” concept in this series. Most of Naruto’s enemies share the same ideals at the end. It’s by which they go about acheiving those goals, the MEANS to the end, that Naruto and his allies do no agree with.
Madara wants peace as an end. His means of doing so is putting everyone under the Moon’s Eye Plan.
Pein wanted peace. His means of doing so were by distruction and having all countries rely on his group for power (don’t quote me on the preciseness of this statement).
Sasuke wants peace. The means of his peace, as Sasuke believes it to be, is revenge on the Senju clan via destroying Konoha.
All want peace; All have different relative views as of how to obtain that ultimate goal. Look at MEANS to judge whether the characters are making morally correct decisions.
I think you’re referring to some of the images we had seen when we saw the Rikudo Sage split the ten tails. The ten tails beast had one eye that looked like a Sharingan/Rinnegan hybrid; Basically you can look at Madara’s new mask to see what I’m talking about. I don’t know if that’s what the Ten Tails beast just looked like, or whether it had that eye because it was under the Sage’s Genjutsu (most likely this).
He’ll still need the Rinnegan or some large source of power to be able to acheive this.

- I doubt Madara is ‘truly’ asking for “Peace”…even as a side effect. He wants to be god…plain and simple - he’s on that Aizen shit now - he’s collected the Rinnegan and needs to feed it the power of the tailedbeast to truly unlock it and become “3D”
- Pein wanted peace, however it wasn’t that he wanted to be destructive, he wanted everyone to understand, as he felt that only thru understanding each other would he be able to “stop the violence”. The reason IMO he retconned himself was admitting that his actions would NOT lead to the peace h sought, and that Naruto’s approach and methods would lead to ‘what needs to happen’ to actually stop the wars.
- Sasuke doesn’t want peace. He wants vengance…pure and simple. Someone pissed in his bed before he laid in it to go to sleep. He doesn’t care abou the grand scheme of things at ALL, its the big difference between Naruto and Sasuke…Naruto only thinks big picture, Sasuke only sees whats directly in front of him. Sasuke wants nothing more right now than to trash Konoha…period. Speaking of which, I’m betting he’ll rock a ‘new look’ when we see him next.
- The Pein saga is IMO CLOSED…the remaining information is tied IMO to Madara himself…there are no longer any questions/curiousities about Pein. Now its’ how did Madara do this/why did he do that?. And if the rinnegan ‘is’ capable of the sharrigan hax - then the plan should still be on…
I’d actually be interested in getting more backstory on Neji’s eyes at this point…we were told the sharrigan was an offshoot of that but that doesn’t seem to be factual anymore.

I’ve always liked Madara more than Aizen because Madara is more believable as a villain. Aizen was in control of everything 99.9% of the time until this last chapter of Bleach. A bad guy that never has to struggle = ZZZZZZ.
Yes, I greatly prefer when my main villains get turned into little bitches by Kabuto than when they wreck the elite of the series single handedly. Madara’s plans have succeeded for the most part because his runaway game is top tier.
IMO a better villain falls somewhere inbetween Madara and aizen.
Aizen is/was full of so much bullshit it was just laughabl…I mean the peak of his popularity was from sheer ‘trolling’.
Madara has appeared so weak up to this point…one trick pony-ish…that thinking of him as the big bad villain feels swoooooo out of place. It’s like dictator working for Boxer…because so far - outside of a couple memebers - everyone else from Akatsuki has had a better showing.
I’d like for the villain to seem ‘mortal’, but OP at the same time.

son, kisame was evil. he had honor and all, but he essentially joined up with madara bcuz he was MAD evil. and at this point sasuke is legitimately evil, kishi’s probably gonna give him some bullshit type of redemption considering this is for kids but he has no redeeming qualities.

IMO Pein killed J-man because he felt he’d impede his progress. Was it a very bitch move…WAY bitch…but not evil. It’s like say my goal is place top 8 in SSF4 at Evo next year with Gief and Koop pops up with Akuma in the sweet 16. Well he’s gettin in the way of my plans, and while I wish him no ills, I’d have to SPD and chest slap his ass into oblivion. That doesn’t make me evil, it merely shows that my goals are worth more to me than my feelings.
He also didn’t just whipe out Konoha to ‘make people feel pain’…it was a MESSAGE. Konoha for a long time had been #1 in the ninja world, they were the biggest, best and considered alost untouchable. By going in there solo and whiping out their shit, he’s sending a message. It had nothing to do with being evil. He wanted to send a message…and he had a goal of capturing the 9T to further his long term goals.
Evil? That would be blowing up Konoha simply becaue he can…not because there’s any connection to killing his parents…or because they have what he needs…or that they were ultimatly tied to the dath of yahiko…or that him being hospitalized is a factor as well…no…evil would mean none of that happend…he blew Konoha up simply because it was Tuesday.

I gotta disagree a little, real. I think Madara is perfect for the series. He’s come off as “weak” but I think we’ve just been desensitized by Naruto and Saskue’s DBZ powerups that when we see real ninjas take him on and he gets hung up a little, we think “sucks”. He’s one of the greatest ninjas of all time, he no doubt has experience with every kind of weapon ever created in the ninja world AND decades of battle experience.
I liked the fact that he viewed everything out of range of having to get involved but he doesn’t mind tagging in to get his hands dirty. But when he does, it’s not a clean cut victory. We know he’s gonna come out on top, he just has to but he’s had plenty of “Oh shit!” moments and in my opinion the man is a top tier clutch player, which is why he’s so interesting.

Much like Gilbert in GSD, his ultimate goal isn’t necessarily “evil” but the shit he does to make it happen is. In this case, offing Jinchuuriki who never really asked to have big ass monster put inside them and getting villages full of people who didn’t even have beef with him destroyed. So in effect, he’s doing asshole shit for a good cause like Lelouch in Code Geass.
However, I wouldn’t put it past Kishi to reveal that he’s doing it all for self-serving reasons in the end like wanting to be God or something.
I pretty much agree. Madara seems “weak” because he doesn’t have any bunker buster city destroying powers, but really he is one of the stronger guys we’ve seen due to what he does have (Izanagi, intangibility). If it weren’t for the fact that Kishi went all DBZ and we have guys like Pein blowing up villages in one shot and using soul sucking dragons to wipe out an entire army, or Naruto tossing dinosaur-sized rhinos to the moon, he’d seem very dangerous. Now he is currently lacking in really offensive asskicking ability, but I’m willing to bet prime Madara had it in spades.
For example, if Madara with his abilities was shown after say, the Gaara arc, we’d all be going “holy shit this dude is broken”.
