Well the First was killed by Kakuzu. That Naruto wiki says he was only about 90. We don’t know at what age he killed the First but it’s completely possible for his wife to have survived. After all, Hokages don’t really have a long life span except for the Third.

I think the animators were on acid. The whole being pummeled with a cliff and sticking into a wall head first stuff was some ren and stimpy shit.
yes. orochimaru vs sasuke (ep. 30), sarutobi vs orochimaru (ep. 71), naruto vs sasuke (ep. 133) and naruto vs pain (ep. 167) are all from the same director.
That didn’t need an explanation though. The kage’s die violent deaths, not from natural causes, and the fourth is only 2 generations younger than the first at the most.
Not only that, but Naruto beats pain with a plain rasengan. You’re telling me that getting beaten around like that isn’t as bad as one rasengan?

To take that a step further - if you think back to the issue where they showed all the generations sarting wit hthe 1st, you see the age ‘gap’ isn’t that great…you’ve got the First and Second TRAINING the 3rd…so when the Third was a young teen (judging by drawing), then the First wife was prolly in her mid twenties. Minato prolly checked in as Hokage 30-40 years later…so shorty would only be like 50-70 years old.

The whole Shikamaru vs Hidan/Kakuzu was in the same style as 167’s but it was kept more in asia style anime than america anime. And if people say they enjoyed the animation style that we had this week, they’re in crazy and in denial. We can get so much better, just watch the intro.
the animation was interesting and very stylish for sure. I think they took way too many liberties with what was in the manga source though. For example, pain having some kinda laser move to slice rocks… it didn’t fit the source at all. There’s no way to adapt his gravity push/pull ability to do that. Looked good imo, but nothing at all like what the fight should have been.
So i’ve watched like one episode of naruto in the last year and a half can someone explain to me whats going on with the animation since people talk about it every week.
Are they just letting a different contest winner animate the show every week, or is it the same team of animators and they spin a wheel every week to decide which style they animate the show in?
I laughed when I saw those clips thinking that it was a fanmade animation of the fight. Now I cry knowing thats actually how it looks like.
does anyone know where I can find the type-ups of the manga in japanese (kanji preferably) and then they were translated to english? they have been posted in here a few times and I was just wondering if there is a place I can find them.
