Watch the whole episode. People like to pick out the retarded clips to make gifs, but I’ll take a few goofy-looking frames and great animation over episodes with bad art and bad animation (every other episode not directed by this guy or the 166 guy).
Shikamaru/Kakashi vs Hidan/Kakuzu was done by the guy who did 166 and the intros. They let the 167 guy handle the fights that need to be on an insane scale involving more than just Kung Fu fighting and the occasional laser beam.
Caught up with the manga up til ch. 495. Looks like Kishi’s speeding things up.
A few things-
1- Kisame’s one of my fav. characters and was a little sad to see him decapitated though what happened afterwards was rather funny IMO. Still he gets to fight for another day and all things considered based off how the fight went, their plan makes a little bit of sense.
2- Sasuke’s still crazy, poor kid.
3- Danzou’s Sharingan arm was just woah, creepy broken shit
Overall I quite enjoyed the recent 20-ish chapters and Kishimoto’s backgrounds are astounding as ever.
Oh man, these next couple chapters are going to be hard to read. Kusinia is going to die on the table right there, Minato won’t be able to do anything about it, then Minato will die. Bad enough the third’s wife just had her neck snapped metal gear style. Brutal.

Shippuuden 167 = The best episode of this series I have ever watched. 30 (22 actually) minutes of magic. I was… emotional.

That just begs the question: Why aren’t guns prevalent in Naruto? They have the technology, are you going to tell me someone didn’t think up barrel + shrapnel + gun powder = win?
The artist said something about not wanting guns and modern technology of certain kinds in it, i forget exactly.
Chakra guns could work; design guns that would use one’s chakra or create one using chakra.

A village specialized in seals and explosive tags go boasting of cylinder weapons with tagged bullets would suffice, or maybe something like Saiyuki’s Genjyo Sanzo’s banish gun but focused on ranged seal based summons and other seal breaking/casting jutsu.
Sigh will Kisame ever fight with the intention to kill instead of the intention to keep somebody busy (Gai) or to lose on purpose (Bee)? :bluu:

Naruto and Bee are tired or something right? Kisame should be able to whoop Bee now too.
Anyway he could have popped out while they were setting things up. In fact, he should be able to just stab Bee in the back or kill him any second he wanted too.
