How did Spidey deal with Advancing Guard in MvC3? How will this change in UMvC3?
a cool thing to try out when ultimate comes would be what airborne said with the super jump web ball xx web zip, only after a small air combo (small enough so spider-man doesn’t reach the ground at the same time as the opponent, like the way deadpool hits them off the ground with his hyper.) so the OTG web zip hits them before the web ball,

Great question. Since most people will choose to Advancing Guard our airdash j.:h: or j.:s:, we’re able to cancel our normals with Web Zip and that puts us right in their face again. And it gets even better in Ultimate! With the ability to now cancel Web Ball, Web Swing, OR Spider Sting into Web Zip now allows us to stay in their face no matter what the condition. When we attempt to nab that instant overhead with Spider Sting and they pushblock us away from attaining the the Spider Bite, we can just cancel into :df: Web Zip and be like “…SUP!!!”
Hmmm, so what you’re saying is start a combo with an Air-to-Air, but bring them back down to the ground with Web Ball xx Web Zip? Or are you saying basically what Ketchup was talking about above and start a combo, launch, spike 'em down, and then OTG Web Zip with a falling Web Ball to set up a relaunch combo?
If it’s the former, then we could probably make it easier and just cancel the j.:h: into :h: Web Swing xx :df: Web Zip to the ground and continue the combo from there, since :h: Web Swing causes soft knockdown.
If it’s the latter, then it’ll be something I look into when I get my hands on the game. ;D

I can not tell you how many times my stupid ass spidersting doesn’t spiderbite online. It completely screws me over because I get hit when the opponent recovers and I get comboed on. I can’t wait until I can web zip out of spidersting when spiderbite doesn’t work. Does anyone else feel like spidersting/bite is too inconsistent?
not really, the timing is not thaaaat strict and it is consistent. the main problem is that there is a different timing for each strength of sting, so the muscle memory is a little bit harder to get.
of course you could just mash H though, which makes it considerably easier
maybe its just online because I never seem to have that big of a problem when playing my brother.

maybe we could get some air throw resets with the web zip OTG if we have an assist that makes them block for a good amount of time.
I think it will make hard reads easier but I’m not entirely sure what the significance of it is either.
Sadly it seems that UWT has been retooled as purely an anti air and moved away from resets/unblockable set ups. Might be worthwhile if we can OTG after it, but seeing how it’s difficult to even get a MS after OTG I doubt it. Le sigh…
On the brightside, no mention of web ball nerf in Max’s vid. Maybe they did fix that stupid change?
I still wish max tried the web ball xx web zip but it doesn’t matter. It was still a great video that gave a lot of information that I wanted to know.
