After seeing the Break stream, I never want to hear the word swag again. I must of heard that word nearly 1 million times on the stream last night. Too much swag lol.

Lol. At first I was so mad Jaha wouldn’t get off the microphone. He totally overwhelms any one else like CJ, Quotes, or MarlinPie and they have no idea what to say. Only Nina finds room to talk when he is on the mic. Later in the stream I was actually laughing though…and I was disgusted with myself later on.

Jaha annoys the shit out of me. I’d seriously rather mute the stream than be forced to listen to him. Plus he rarely if ever has insightful commentary on the actual match thats taking place. I think imma boycott the break until he stops announcing.
Yeah it was nice last week for the novelty, but this week it just got to be unbearable.
Here I am spending countless hours mastering complex combos in the so called mvc3 “Bible”, and lo and behold, I turn on the streams and see dudes like wong, viscant, combofiend, etc, using simple ABCD combos and dominating.
What the fuck?!
In a tournament match, there can be enormous pressure to keep yourself safe. Flashy combos are great but if you can defeat your foe with safe ABCD combo then go for it. Sometimes playing safer is better than going 0-2.

No but ABCD combos do plenty of damage in this game, and hard to master ones do a little more but not enough to make it worth it, it’s pretty stupid.
Go win a tournament then.
Personally I’ve seen Wong doing DHC trick from Crazy Dance, Viscant doing double jump, fly Iron Man combos, and Combofiend always doing a torpedo run cancel in his combos.
ABCD combos build lots less meter, and a meter deficit in this game can kill you easily.
Jaha sound like he’s got that turrets swag. Though it may have been worth it for “swaggity sqeeze”
But I play Wolverine, so I don’t have to worry about meter, or anything really.
Yeah, but the fundamentals of their combos are basic. I think I’m slowly starting to realize that mix ups, resets, and assists are the main keys to winning. Of course, there are some exceptions (i.e. Magneto’s Rom, Sent’s air reset combo)

Are we watching the same streams?
Look inside the MVC3 official guide (assuming ur cheap ass can afford one) and tell me if you see top level players performing those same combos. With the exception of a few, most the guides combos are ignored for simple ABC set ups during tournament play.
