-Netcode: Duh
-Stages: More with less crap going on in the backround. Make sure they’re somewhat bright too. S.H.I.E.L.D. Base or w/e its called perfect example of what not to do.
-X-factor: Some sorta tweak.

Really easily?
This.
Unrealistic expectations, the all of you.
Just play the game and chill out.
Spectator mode.
Patch up netcode somehow
Gameplay balance patches way too early.
most of my wishlist were already mentioned but what i need is something like… a tag button? meaning at least an option to change the way you tag so you just have to press a button instead of holding it down…
Really fanatiq?
Disappointed.
Let the game play out.
MvC2 would be boring if it was patched right? Same thing here. Seriously dude, play the game stop complaining. I expected better from a player of your caliber.
Also Sentinel vs Phoenix is a 2-8 matchup in favor of Phoenix. Probably 1-9. It is that bad. Wait until people start blocking normal stuff before saying such and such is too powerful.
I’ve also posted this in the bugs/glitches thread:
It’s not fun playing ranked matches. I keep asking for someone of the same rank, and just now I had to battle someone with 304 wins and 205 loss while I’m 31 wins and 39 loss.
I’m keeping away from Ranked till a patch comes out.
If X-Factor is touched, then they should fix it on a per character basis (since we know that the buffs are done on a per character basis anyway). IMO Sent doesn’t really need all the buffs it gets in X-Factor (same with Dark Phoenix), however some characters like Amaterasu don’t really have impressive X-Factor buffs and doing a general, sweeping nerf on X-Factor will negatively affect some characters that don’t need any nerfs.
The only changes needed right now are to make the default stage for Versus mode random instead of the Danger Room, and to allow button config on the character select screen. Maybe the online matchmaking system could use some tweaking too, since I’m not the only one who went online for my first few games ever with “same rank” selected, only to find somebody with 300 wins and 30 losses. I’m cool with playing better players to learn later, but I don’t want a fight like that for my first few games ever in the Versus series. You need to know how the game works before you can learn from playing good players.
So theres an issue with me saying I dont’ like the way the game plays? I will still rape 90% of the community in this game. I’m saying its linear as fuck and will not last long. Just because I complain about something doesn’t mean I wont’ fuck your shit up in it… The few suggestions I made would improve gameplay.
Nothing could make me learn Sentinel in MvC2, nothing besides a nerf could make me not play sentinel in mvc3. That should say it all…
Oh and stop citing Justin Wong as proof sentinel doesn’t need nerfing. That is simply retarded. Just because Justin Wong can beat top players in mvc2 with 3 captain commandos doesn’t make captain commando a good team, it just means Justin was that far ahead of everyone else. He’s so much better than everyone that He can beat sentinels, doesn’t mean half of the scrubs saying let it ride are going to. Like I said, ~2 years unless radical changes are made.
So you basically want shorter combos? We can say the word balance, but it’s still a 2D game with a bunch of crap flying all over the screen. Seems like everybody want’s to nerf Sentinel instead of buff other characters for some reason. Or it could be there isn’t any or will ever be any balance, some have unfair things while others pretty much suck.
What the hell are you talking about? Where did I mention shorter combos in my entire post? I didn’t say I was even interested in rebalancing characters to begin with. I specifically said I’d like system direction implemented so we can choose which things we want to play with. People need to read what I actually said and not put words in my mouth and start arguing the counter to said words that I never said…
too early for any other major changes i think.
Remove tech options, are you freaking insane!??
No you can’t.
Can someone explain to me what would be so bad about it? I don’t think it was the resets that people complained about in mvc2, it was the limited characters mostly.
Anyways after thinking about it more, I guess meter built is too fast anyways. Why reset when I can just kill someone after touching them once anyways?
Two small changes would make the game a lot more fun.
Give us the option to remove X-factor. Let us put the time at 120 seconds.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not complaining about X-factor being broken. I, and pretty much everybody I talk to, doesn’t like the way it changes the game.
X-Factor is limiting. There are teams that have good synergy, yet end up being bad due to none of them having a really good way to use a lvl 2 or lvl 3 X-Factor.
I almost always enjoy the first half of every match I play. The last 30 seconds always revolve around X-Factor. It’s getting very old, win or lose.
For some reason, I wished this game had a “beta” testing period (not counting the set-ups at E3, EVO, Socal/norcal regionals, etc.)
They shouldn’t really have saved Sentinel as one of the last characters considering how much controversy he is getting.
It’s the players that make the game, I feel that the community as a whole should’ve at least been able to toy around with it for awhile before the game is finished. Could’ve changed some things and would’ve made a larger impact that simply just “hey we are Capcom and we are listening, let’s put in your ‘favorite’ characters.”
Meh, just wishful thought though.
All the strategy involved in the game revolves around landing a hit. That’s how it is in all fighting games that have combos. What does it matter if it’s easy to do bnbs? You expect them dropping a combo to save your ass? The incentive to do more damage is basically that it’s more damage. The objective of the game is to inflict damage to win, so anytime you can do so, that’s all the incentive you need. If bnbs KO’d from full all the time, you’d have a point, but they don’t. Damage is high because you can heal it off by character switching, X-factor, and healing moves. Also, because this game is about punishing, so if people are careless or risky, they will be eaten alive. So knowing matchups and capabilities of everyone is very important.
