when I did it I got 521,700 but i’m unaware as to how many hits the j.s’s did
I also did it with darkness illusion because I forgot the inputs mid combo lol and it did 779,200
Thanks, sir, that’s about what I expected it do. Should be near maximum off a standing L without corner. Who did you use as the training dummy?
What do you guys follow up after DHC glitch to Morrigan?
umm don’t remember
however i just did it again on dante and spidey
did any of you guys see that one multiple character combo vid with the 2 or 3 really sweet morrigan combos, I was wondering why nobody else brought it up before.

A couple of combo’s demonstrating Storm’s double typhoon for otg and Phoenix’s tk trap for combo extension. Also includes Storm and Morrigan THC to increase Morrigans damage from about 660,000 with 2 meter to 775,000.

Sorry about the poor quality; my software sucks.
^after the typhoon assist do they have to be in the corner?

[Y’] I somehow missed this combo video, but that first combo is similar to wall combos I’ve been working on, with the air dash j.s after soul fist unfly, except looping it twice for the carry. I just don’t have the execution to get it consistently at all in matches yet.
^ can you post the inputs for the combo you’re using;if it’s already posted my apologies
No, it’s just that I threw it together in 15 minutes on my brother’s Xbox and didn’t have the time to consider the fact that I pushed to the corner.
Does anyone know any lvl 1 X-Factor combos with Morrigan that can exceed 1 mil without using more than 1 bar of meter? I managed to get close to 900k with her ground loop BnB into her air series into finishing shower, but I wonder if there’s anything better. I tried doing her BnB into OTG shadow servant, and then X-Factor dash j.S, which seems to connect but the opponent falls out very quickly due to the hitstun deterioration.
youll probably get more damage if you make as much of the combo after the x factor as possible, something like
Air dash H, Cr. M-H-S, j. M-H-S, shadow servant, x factor, dash, j. H, land, cr. M-H, f+H, into a bnb ending in air finishing shower from there. and besides, if youre going that late into a combo, you can always just TAC in to a character that does more damage.
speaking of x factor and shadow servant, is there any way we can do something like:
shadow servant - x factor - dash - fireball - fly - airdash - H - fireball - unfly - S or something like that.
I really think that aside from the derpy little standing H chains, that shadow servant x factor is the best way to maximise damage with her.
You won’t be able to follow up a Shadow Servant XFC with much other than Darkness Illusion outside of the corner. Shadow Servant pushed them away very, very fast. In the corner, anything you could do off a Wesker low shot assist you could do off Shadow Servant XFC, and possibly then some.
From maximum range, you can’t follow up Shadow Servant XFC with a dash. You need to be at like mid-ish range to connect with a j.S. I tried it out and got 1.1 mil damage from X-Factor lvl 1 off a Shadow Servant with this combo (at mid-screen):
Shadow Servant xx XFC, dash, j.S, M-cr.M-cr.H-f.H xx j.M-H-S, cr.H-S xx super-jump, j.M-M-H xx M shadow blade xx Flight, j.M-M-H xx M shadow blade xx Finishing Shower
Useful to use with Morrigan on point if you want to kill off their point character quickly with level 1 X-Factor. The combo requires only one meter for Shadow Servant, and the rest builds about 1.2 meters… enough to use Finishing Shower at the end.
Another thing about the XFC combo… Morrigan can follow up an OTG Shadow Servant XFC with a dash into j.S but the opponent falls out of the combo right after, so you can’t really do the same off an OTG shadow servant. You should just do her ground series into Shadow Servant instead.
j.L-M cr.M cr.H M Shadow Blade, fly, j.H xx L Soul Fist, unfly, air dash j.M-H, (land) M Shadow Blade, fly, j.H xx L Soul Fist, unfly, air dash j.H-S, (land).
After that point, it’s up to you what you want to do. Should be able to end it with H Shadow Blade xx Finishing Shower or DI, etc. Since X-23’s on my team, another part of what I was specifically working on was trying to find a way to land OTG assists midscreen to get more carry. I know that midscreen, if you end a post-st.S air combo with down air dash j.S, you get all three hits, and the momentum from the air dash leaves Morrigan closer to the opponent upon landing - close enough to land an OTG assist, so this is how I end the combo:
st.S j.H xx L Soul Fist, fly, down air dash j.S, L + M + Ankle Slice Assist call, st.S, j.H xx L Soul Fist, fly, down air dash j.S(or other ender of choice).
I’ll first warn you though that I haven’t actually been able to do the whole combo all the way through. I’ve done all the way up through the Ankle Slice Assist, so all of that works fine. The portion after OTG is just me theorizing, since I haven’t had access to my ps3 for a few weeks. I’m not sure if hitstun decay will affect it if you attempt whole combo all the way through. If you decide to mess around with it, could you let me know how it goes?
edit: Modified parts of the combo to make it more stable. With every other Otg assist it is much easier to connect than with X-23’s.
Was messing around a lot with her flight-cancels and found a few combos that people may or may not already know…
Level 1 X-Factor combos
Air :h: Soul Fist xx fly, air dash j.:s:, st.:l::f::h: xx M/H Soul Fist xx Shadow Servant xx XFC, dash j.:s:, (cr.:h:):s: xx super-jump j.:h: xx M Shadow Blade xx fly, j.:h: xx M Shadow Blade xx Finishing Shower
Just under 1 million damage off a soul fist hitting the opponent in the air. Kills most of the characters. If the opponent is still alive, the good thing about this combo is it carries them to the corner pretty easily because of Shadow Servant, so after the Finishing Shower, you can surprise them by doing a TAC, and finish them off with your next character. The cr.:h: in the combo is character-specific. On some characters you’ll be able to connect it, however others will flip out too quickly for you to pull off anything else other than a launcher, so it’s usually much more safe to go into :s: right after a j.:s:.
Air L/M/H Soul Fist xx fly, Air L Soul Fist xx unfly, air dash, Ankle Slicer assist, (dash just past the opponent) j.:h:, cr.:h::f::h: xx M/H Soul Fist xx Shadow Servant xx XFC, dash j.:s:, st. cr.:h: :s: xx super-jump j.:h: xx M Shadow Blade xx fly, j.:h: xx M Shadow Blade xx Finishing Shower
This one does almost 1.2 million damage, and allows you to set up an easy unblockable by covering Morrigan and X-23 Assist with Soul Fists.
Back Throw, Shadow Servant xx XFC, dash j.:s:, st. cr.:h: :f::h: xx jump-cancel j.:h::s: cr.:h::s: xx super-jump j.:h: xx M Shadow Blade xx fly, j.:h: xx M Shadow Blade xx Finishing Shower
Does similar damage as the previous one, but this one is off a throw.
All these combos use up 2 meters but require only one meter or less to start.
So, being this late in the game and a poor training mode warrior myself, I expect everyone to know about this already, but this thread has no organization and I don’t really feel like reading through it to see if this has been posted already, but whatever. Here’s a braindead easy XF3 loop:
[ any attack vs a grounded opponent ] xx :d::h: :f::h: [ jump forward :h::s: ] xN
Seems to work anywhere on screen and on any size opponent (tested on dog, robot, a couple others). You can get about 4 or 5 reps in depending on how long your initial combo is and such. If it ever looks like they’re about to fall out or if hitstun is decaying too much, you can launch into a simple air series to Shadow Blade for the kill.
I honestly just string a ton of s.H’s together, hahaha.
This is actually really useful if you need to kill Thor without meter. L-M-H-M-H-M-H-6H-jMHS-jMHS-jMHS-S-MMH-Shadow Blade breaks 1.3m. 3 seems to be the limit on that loop, but it does pretty massive damage compared to just loop sH rpeatedly.
With some more experimentation, the loop works in XF2 as well, to the full 3 times, although it’s much harder. XF1 you can do it 3 times as well, but the second and third need to be jLMHS instead of MHS. With no X-factor, you can jMHS, jLMH and go into flight from there, should be able to bring them back down for a clean launch too, although I keep dropping shit so far.
