weasel shot is pretty goo for that team since you can cross up people easier with and it doesn’t scale as much in combos as jam session does
Weasel Shot vs Jam Session for magneto is like cake vs pie. Either way you’re getting something good.
There’s no need for Weasel Shot if you already have Drones assist. Two horizontal lockdown assists are redundant IMO. Run Jam Session, it will give your Magneto vertical screen control, a lockdown, a combo extender, and will actually make Sentinel a legitimate threat.
If you *really *want to run Weasel Shot, you should run Doom Missiles or Akuma Tatsu instead of Sentinel.
Not to mention that Jam Session gives you the best meaty incoming/corner resets out of any assist in this game for Magneto due to it’s lockdown and huge hitbox, and the fact that it actually cloaks Magneto and his flight mode, you are blocking blindfolded. I’m not really a big fan of 2 horizontal assists for a point character, although if Magneto is Dante’s second or anchor, it doesn’t really matter what assist you run, but if Magneto is on point with Dante + Horizontal, get that Jam Session.
And it’s very reminiscent Corridor

I’ve been playing Magneto a little bit in training mode because a sparring pal I play with is learning Magneto. I think I’m going to pick him up. I was going to make 1 of 2 teams with Magneto. The first would be Magneto/Morrigan/Akuma. I like Akuma anchor for me and this order would allow Magneto and Morrigan to work with the Tatsu assist, but the are capable characters by themselves.
The second team I have been trying is Felicia/Iron Man/Magneto. I have been learning Felicia also and Iron Man’s repulsor blast gives Felix a good assist to confirm with, and Magneto’s EM Disruptor gives Felix the beam assist to help her keep the pressure on.
What are some other good Magnus teams including characters like Morrigan, Akuma, Dr. Doom, Storm, Felicia?

Doom with anyone is already good, but Akuma/Mag is ok. Main reason I say no is because of tatsu not being as strong as it was in vanilla marvel. If this was vanilla I would say fuck yes, but its more blah now. You gotta tri dash perfectly and it still may not work. Try it out and see if you like it in a couple of sets. You may say what I said… “Man, this shit suck, I cant get anything off of it.”
As for my Team, Magneto with Dante-Crystal Assist can set up some dirty shit on incoming characters. back dash, nuetral air dash MBlast with crystal lingering like it does is so fucking good because of lolblockstun and a 50/50 super jump M or H from Magneto just is icing on the cake. You can also call crystal, super jump air dash downfoward S(should hit the opponent due to lolhitbox) and you got a 50/50 again with left/right or you could play around with crystal and see if you can time a grab between the small pause of crystal’s remaining hit frames and get an air grab regardless if they pushblock or not… shit I’m getting a boner thinking about it.
Magneto/Sentinel/Akuma (super magneto) is actually a damn good team. centralizing your team around 1 character actually seems to work in Marvel 3, since the opening mixups on the 2nd and 3rd characters are so brutal that the first hit often determines the game.
i still stand that Drones > Missiles for Magneto.
I actually like that team too, Drones and Tatsu makes Magneto relentless. If Magneto dies though, you’re stuck with Sentinel/Akuma which is actually great compared to most Sentinel shells but it’s still Sentinel…
I’d run Magneto/Dante/Akuma or Magneto/Dante/Sentinel instead.

Dante can do fine,arguably better, with Tatsu or Drones.
