what’s the best magneto team?
Dormammu/Magneto/Doom, Magneto/Doom/Vergil, Magneto/Doom/Phoenix, and Dante/Vergil/Magneto come to mind
Mag/Dante/Sentinel(or Doom) IMO. Mag with weasel shot and drones/missiles pretty much has the freedom to do anything he wants.
Been having lots of fun playing Mag/Doom/Ammy lately even though my ammy is ass. XF3 helps alot for now hahah. Will eventually learn how to play her better but I’m so glad I decided to move on from Sentinel. I’m actually starting to enjoy playing doom more now too whereas before I thought his movement was so awkward.
I know some of you guys play Mag/Vergil/Doom and I was just curious does Rapid Slash actually do anything for magneto? Or is vergil just there for the swords dhc to kill? I’m thinking about picking Vergil up (and maybe Dante too), how long did it take for you guys to learn his combos and stuff (sword loops etc)?
Also just as a random thought anyone tried magneto and chris on the same team? I’ve recently taken an interest in chris after playing this one dude online who had the best chris I’ve ever seen.
Mag chris have some strange synergy. For some reason when you DHC from shockwave into grenade hyper, all of the hits OTG instead of just the initial ice shot. Disruptor + machine gun assist + disruptor again does monster chip and the disruptor assist helps with horizontal space control for chris so its alright. He can also use the assist to get 2 OTG magnums but the timing is tight. The damage is worth it though!
Look up Darchon25 on youtube. He plays Chris/Morrigan/Magneto and he’s pretty good. He also just recently made a Chris combo video as well and he has a whole bunch of stuff for Morrigan. The man has some real quality vids
I have tried out magneto/derpil/akuma as an alternate team. vergils combos arent that hard to learn as long as you know what moves to do. you can also use vergil to extend combos by calling vergil at the same time you do st. H for your last hyper grav loop. you can then do S xx H hyper grav and tempest from there. rapid slash also takes up most of the ground and knocks down, so you can convert from it.
Think some people may have mentioned it already but any thoughts on Magneto(EM Disruptor), Vergil(Rapid Slash), Doom(Hidden Missles)? MY B team is Magneto(EM Disruptor), Dante(Weasel Shot), Sentinel,(Hyper Sentinel Force).
You sir, are playing two of the strongest Magneto teams in existance that doesn’t have Dormammu on it. What would you like to know more about these teams?
Being someone who has played the team off and on for 8 months, I honestly don’t think Magneto/Dormammu/Doom is as strong as people have built it up to be lately. It’s moreso that FChamp is ridiculously good in defense and spacing.
Use Jam Session if you’re running Drones already.
Mag/Dorm obviously isn’t as strong as Dorm/Mag though
Lotsa people in my scene just running Mags anchor. SMH. Nobody likes playing point Mags here because there’s hella Vergils and Weskers, and they all want him for Disruptor assist.

Aye. Seems like I’m the sole point Magnus rep in my scene who actually does stuff like Magblasts and corner resets. And as expected, I’m the only (notable) Strange.

I’m from your scene and I run Mags point in a Mag/Dante/Doom team. And I do corner resets… albeit a bit limited xD Have only played a few other people though. Don’t think I’ve played you yet.

I was thinking about going back to the most gangsta magneto team in vanilla magneto/xx/akuma… Maybe dorm or sentinel in the 2nd slot…

On a magnus related note, I’ve noticed that when you do that day one reset after a delayed magnetic blast you can call an assist and do whatever you want. mother fuck i’m slow lol
That’s great to hear, I love these team and they both incorporate my favorite characters. I guess the only thing is I’ve heard people say for the Magneto(EM Disruptor), Dante(?), Sentinel(Hyper Sentinel Force Charge) team that when I have the drones, I should be using Weasel shot. However I realize how godlike Dante’s Jam Session assist is for under-cross ups. Which should I choose for Dante based on my team?
