well, dante can mess up morrigan’s inputs and get close to her pretty fast. so that’s something. I believe TwisterTempest eliminates some of her fireballs onscreen (from both sides)
The key to fighting morridoom with that team is the disruptor assist for dante/wesk.
Dante with his trackign teleport + disruptor to cover him is gonna mess up a lot of morri fireball game, and snipe doom at the same time.
also vortex in DT is great for morridoom.
I honestly don’t think wesker gets blown up as bad as people say he does against morridoom.
gunshot + disruptor into teleport clears all fireballs in front of you, and the teleport places you in a favorable position.
super jump airgun teleport x3 is great to lame out hte AV.
in regards to missles keeping you out of the sky, ground gun and/or disruptor to snipe doom is very reliable.
not saying its a favorable match, but its def not unwinnable for wesker as most people are claiming.
Dante/Wesk/Mags vs MorriDoom is def one of those matchups where who ever gets their momentum going first is gonna win.
Meter is very important in the matchup for both sides, whoever has more has a substantial advantage.
my thoughts are based on seeing this match up beign fought out a lot at FR between ChrisG and DruggedFox.
Chris G has gotten a lot better though since then.
dante still gets 100%s with wesker assist (combo into inescapeable grapple unblockables) while saving/building more meter.
I like wesker’s incoming option over vergil (not that much better, but I’ll take air teleport over nothing anyday, and jS is similar to helmbreaker)
Wesker 2nd instead of vergil gives dante the option to blow all his meter.
Vergil is better for a select few matchups though for sure. morridoom comes to mind.
Valid points but I think Vergil is much stronger on point and turns any random confirm from Dante into a 100%. Spiral Swords > almost everything Wesker has to offer IMO. That move is like, the skill equalizer. XF2 Vergil with Disruptor is like the most unfair shit in the game.
I like Dante/Wesker/Strider over Dante/Wesker/Magneto although both are good.
Zero/Dante/Magneto, and Magneto/Zero/Dante are the best Magneto/Dante teams (the teams I run are a worse variation of Kef’s team (Task/Dante/Magneto, Magneto/Task/Dante)). Dante/Wesker/Magneto sucks against MorriDoom, Wesker with Magneto backup does not have the firepower to compete with stuff that spams shit on the screen ie keepaway teams, and that team has very poor ToD capability with Wesker’s terrible DHC and the fact that neither assists extend very well for Dante, yes you have reset unblockables, but there are ways out, and that unblockable is well known now. At least the Sparda bros can go fuck it and spend 1 bar to become gods that shit on everything(Dante’s DT, Vergil Spiral Swords). I don’t think it’s optimal to run Dante/Wesker without Strider though in ultimate, Wesker-samurai edge/Dante-Weasel/Strider-Vajra is probably the best setup for those 2.
hyper gravs tracking is shit with tatsu. the opponent moves too much and the hyper grav will not hit in a realistic situation(one where you are reacting to the tatsu hitting)
I just shutdown a morridoom team with mags, nova, and vergil… I played vergil first to stop all the spam b4 it started then when he died it gave nova lots of meter to do human rocket punchesxxnova force to stop hidden missile spam…
On a sidenote vergils y assist sets up great fuzzies, extends combos, and put them in the corner… Novas b assist has both an unscaling property and an overhead(alway groundbounces too)… His assist shines the most with vergil either extending combos or just doing mix up…
Plus with nova in the middle u got the easiest tac infinite
Use Zero/Dante/Magneto instead. Doom/Magneto doesn’t have very good synergy at all in that order since no DHCs work effectively and Doom doesn’t get too much mileage out of Disruptor.

stider is vipers best assist imo, but does very little for our boy maggy.
I figured tatsu would work out pretty well for both characters. coughcough I mean USE TATSU GAIZ!
I would think viper/dante/mags would be the best viper/mags team, but I really can’t do boldcancel teleports with any consistency or I would be playing that team as a secondary.
Don’t run Viper second. Her DHC synergy sucks major balls since nothing is safe whatsoever. My friend ran Viper/Dante/Magneto for a while and while I think it was excellent in vanilla, it’s just good now. Personally I don’t really like Dante/Magneto that much as 2nd and 3rd since Dante can’t TOD anything.
I’d run Viper/Magneto/Amaterasu, but even then you’re better off running Magneto/Doom/Amaterasu or Magneto/Vergil/Amaterasu.
akuma is not bad for mags or viper however tatsu has different uses for both… mags use would be for spacing mixups and tick throw setups but vipers really would only get mileage from tatsu to extend combos in which after a dhc would maybe get a lil under 1mil… akuma doesnt do much for vipers mixup game sadly and if they get touched by tatsu first its hard for viper to convert into heavy damage… you’d be better off running marlinpies vanilla team
I got a pretty beast mags team and some nice tech with it that saves 2 bars and kills meterless TOD with tons of options… only if I could hyper grav loop consistently enough it would be a team that every would fuck with…
