viper is solid, mags is solid…now all you need is a third character that is…well solid. marlinpie had great team synergy with his team of viper/mags/ratsu, so that may work for you. i would suggest a character that has a great assist, such as doom/akuma/sent. identical characters? in what way? if youre talking rushdown, theres nothing wrong with that as the more pressure you put on your opponent the better. mags can work with viper’s burning kick assist, with hypergrav then launch. while viper can work with either disruptor or grav assist.

Iwanted to make a minor adjustment to my current team of Nova/Spencer/Mags. Do you think switching sent in for nova would be a lil bit more beneficial for my team? Drones i know for a fact help both spencer and mags in terms of mixups and damage more than nova would but i love nova too damn much lol. I guess ill make a seperate team with sent replacing mags to keep nova in with spencer
Yeah I wouldn’t say that replacing Nova for Sentinel isn’t a bad idea per say, but if you take the time to learn the intricacies of the character, then you should not have any problems playing either on point.
Now Sentinel being beneficial to that team I would say is still a good investment if you replaced Nova, but you have to take in hand that you’re losing a character that has better movement, normals, supers, for armored normals, unique movement(not a lot of people have fought a good sentinel like rayray’s or an online warrior sent like mine. basically take advantage of the match up using sent’s weird movement).
Playing him on point with Spencer mid isn’t a terrible idea, but you really want to play Spencer on point and have Drones as well as a god like beam assist to get in and cause insane mix ups using command zip. Now humor me on this if you will. Supposed you do play Sentinel on point, but have no idea of the kind of gameplay you need to use in the match.
What you want to do with him and create enough space using your flight, so that they are little farther away than say, two and a half ryus away (jumping 
is a great example of this being that it has incredible start up and reach as well as the ability to rapid fire and combo into an :h: and/or :s: air-to-air or above the ground) and that you have enough space to zone out with by carefully using Neutralize and each one of the drones being up & downward drones and lastly the bombing drones.
To keep this post short I’ll just give you some examples on how to keep away and rush down with him.

[]Make good use of Sentinel flight mode which has 0 frame startup, meaning you can safely fly/unfly into or through anything (i.e. Hawkeye does Gimelt while you’re in flight. You can unfly during the super freeze and block the super clean. maybe punish if you’re in range)
[]Be careful of how close your opponent’s character’s are to Sentinel’s range(universal of every character in the game). If they are within a proximity of let’s say, one and a half ryus above you, use standing as it has armor that will beat most jump in attacks clean, if not trade with. It’s excellent anti-air and you can combo off of it.
air :h: is also a good air-to-air normal that’s slower then an air:m:, but it hits like a truck and you can cancel each normal into flight so pay attention to how you use each button since they all have a special purpose that you must learn.
[*]air:s: or the frying pan as it came to be known since MvC2 years, is another good air-to-air tool once you understand its purpose. The start up is a little above-average, but the hitbox is ridiculous being that it will connect from front to back. There are also some situations where you would hit air:s: as you’re hitting the ground and doing cr:m: for the bait, but you should discuss that and anything else related to big papa pump in the Sentinel threads.

I’ve been slowly improving my magneto by playing online (doing mostly flight combos still haha). And I’ve been trying out a few different teams.
Wesker/Dorm/Mags is obviously great, but I’m just not clicking with dorm yet.
I’ve also tried Wolverine/Magneto/Sentinel, which was awesome to rush with drones, but had some dhc issues and I had trouble converting a combo off of wolvies grab.
Then I tried Wesker/Magneto/Sent and it seemed to work the best for me. Gonna stick with this for now as I learn Magneto and Sent.
Any other cool team ideas since I’m trying to learn new characters?
I’m doing IronM/Mag/Sent and I sometimes switch up the order whenever I see somebody playing hawkeye, the mirror match or deadpool and hulk.
One example being that if I see a guy online/offline using hawkeye anchor, then i’m going to put sentinel up front regardless of the other guys point character. My reason for this is that now I have all 3 versions of drones as well as repulsor to cover left-right mix ups and i can combo at anytime.
Not to mention the fact that Sentinels air :h: and frying pan with repulsor assist is just too fuckin gdlk
bleg i still dont know what team to use for magneto my current team has an issue. the assists are not good enough… any suggestions? mag/dante/spencer
that team is fine just run magneto on anchor… unless you want him on point in which case i would get rid of spencer for cold star, missiles, drones, tatsu, etc

I’ve noticed nobody ever talks about Rocket Raccoon’s log trap for Magneto. The possibilities seem ridiculous, especially with his new gravity abilities. I can imagine a lot of ridiculous set-ups where you zone people with projectiles and log trap, and then pull them into the log trap with gravity when they’re caught off guard. What would be some teams with Mag/Coon?
Maybe this could be a good fill for the Mag/Sent shell. Mag/Sent/Coon?
I like Mag Coon Sent a lot more seeing as how Sent can take more damage than RR. Plus Coon I think benefits more in the mid because of how much bar magneto is building. Plus when you get your 3+ bars for your RR, you’ll have enough to do that big trap super setup and you’ll have drones to back you up.

I hate Sent anchor though, but yeah what you described seems solid. What other good anchors are there for Mags? Wesker, Sentinel, Ammy, Akuma, Vergil and kinda Doom are the big ones I know.

Yeah those are the best ones for Mag afaik. also don’t hate sent anchor!! he’s got a lot of tools to beat the entire cast clean as long as you study up on your shit. I know a lot of people online went “WTF” or “MAN FUK YOU” because I came back on some big papa pump swagger lol
Might as well man. That assist is fuckin godlike with Magneto. Picture this though, MID (mag ironm doom) with repulsor and missiles . you’re in there bro
I would keep that team, yet playing nova takes patience, and his normals are quite slow. if anything you should switch the lineup around to spencer/mags/nova or mags/nova/spencer. sent/spencer/mags is also good yet sent is usually at a disadvantage against most characters. actually nova assist allows for mixup as well with the high/low game with mags. your last idea is good also, just find a team for sent and call it a day.
I still use the nova/spencer/mags team its still my main team im just trying to find different teams to compliment my mags a bit more. But with nova like i said in my earlier post i just love him too much to just drop him. When my Spencer/sent/mags team isnt cuttin it i bring in the nova and clean house.
