IM and Strange are the only characters in the roster that I feel are legitimately hard to play.
Just saw Avengers so I need to actually get my ass in the lab and learn KK combo
played with IM… think the only thing that makes him playable is drones… if he didnt have really good assists i would dip ASAP lol
ironman is the darkhorse in the game, he has all the tools yet people say he sucks due to the lack of “flash” in his gameplay. if anything, this ironman is actually a bit more solid than in mvc2. he has two protos and a level 3 and a semi-infinite (something that needed to go anyway imo) strange is not really hard to play rather too delicate of a character, similar to vergil in stamina. yet as the saying goes, training goes a long way so play the characters…

Hey guys. Im looking for an Anchor for my first team. This will be my first Marvel game, and essentially my first real time.
Magneto / Doom / ???
I was thinking Deadpool or Spencer. I don’t like Sentinel at all. Possibly Strider? Any tips?
I was thinking about The typical Wesker / Dante / Virgil. But I just want a bit more class in my gameplay.
Amaterasu or Phoenix are your best bets
It’s really the beginning that’s fucking me up. that cr.H xxfly jM seems to whiff an awful lot and jL seems more consistent although it doesn’t work at max range. The unfly part is fucking me up as well lol
This happens to me too with that damn KrispyKreme combo. It’s one of the reasons I gave up on Iron Man, but I’ll try again soon.
My only suggestion is that you need to be hitting j:m: as fast as possible (faster than you’re thinking atm. it sounded funny to me at first given iron man’s nerfed state but his normals will surprise you over time) and same thing with the unfly. Hit them fast enough, but not too fast if you get me. If not, then there’s always the Iron Man threads

Hyper Grav better for Cap than Disruptor. I run Hyper Grav with Iron Man but in general EMD is a much better assist for most of the cast.
I agree with that. For my team hypergrav is much better. I think EMD has better utility in most teams but I’m not convinced it’s better than hypergrav for Sentinel. Not that I think hypergrav is amazing for Sentinel either, but I think it provides more than EMD does.
I believe hyper grav is good in it’s own right. I’ve gotten so many TOD off of an armored normal from Sentinel and being able to get 2/3 to full hit hyper sentinel force with a follow up is a plus for me
I need to learn some optimized Sent combos haha. I still do Day 1 stuff. I can get around 750k-850k (DHC for about a mil) off of one combo with hypergrav assist relaunch, but it’s pretty scrubby.

I’ll probably do that. I’ve played Sent since Day 1 vanilla but just never had a need to learn REAL combos with him since he pretty much kills off of one touch and Mags does most of the work anyway.
that’s what i like about him. once you have a strong team and have sentinel as anchor or mid i believe you’d have a staple character once you’ve learned it’s ins-n-outs
Still having no luck with this game man. I still need to sit down and learn my characters, but I just cannot come up with a solid Anchor. So far I have Magneto with the EMD assist, Dooms missiles, and I need to find someone else.
