Also are you certain that when you did that corner combo you weren’t against a very short character…because the gunshot will shoot over their head unless you backup first. (Arthur/Ama/etc.)
Yours won’t work either what happens is after the relaunch the 3rd shield slash they just recover afrer the first shield hit.
I was doing it against doom and wesker and both did the same thing. I was playing some more and cartwheel seems either faster or invincible on start up because i was making my buddy spam normals while i cartwheel and i would go through cleanly but i am not the beat judge of character when it comes to these things.
I’ll try to play more tomorrow after im done with my marvel pool.
Thanks, I’m curious if that hit stun recovery being quicker will be in the final version or not. Either way it’s not a big deal since I’m sure we’ll find another way to get that big damage…heck I guess I already have the same or better damage just with less meter built.

You know, considering TAC is even better now, maybe I’ll just TAC after the relaunch instead and go into a skrull combo from there >.<

So I went 6-2 unfortunate I didn’t make it on stream, if I had won my quarter final match I would have gone up against Viscant and guaranteed stream time but alas I didn’t win. Pretty strong showing on my part. Top 72 or 64 out of 2000+ I think I repped Cap pretty well haha. I’ll try to get some more ultimate time and take notes about the changes.
GOOD STUFF man! That’s a hell of a showing out of soooooooo many people entering this year. It would’ve been awesome to see you on the main stage, but either way I’m just glad you did well. Any idea if there might be match footage of any of your matches?
I personally didn’t record anything. I saw some people record some of my matches because I was playing their friends but that’s about it. I doubt they are gonna want to upload that haha.
Alright guys I’m not sure if this is the place to be asking this, but I’m having some trouble with the corner relaunch thing.
So, I tried to figure it out myself watching videos to see what the inputs are, and it seems like it’s (launch) sj. M, H, 2H (delay) L 2H (land) xx whatever
However, I haven’t been able to hit this even once. I’m sure the timing is strict, but I come asking my fellow super soldiers - are these the right inputs? If they are, is there a specific chain I need to be doing before the launch? Is there any advice anyone has for this combo?
The best I’ve managed is when I put in the MH2H very quickly after the launcher. I can almost always get the j.L after but never anything else after it. Let me know if anybody can help here.

Those are the correct inputs, and its less about the chain you do leading into the launch and more about your positioning in the air relative to the opponent. I advise practicing on Dr. Doom for this combo because he is the easiest to do it on since he has a long hitbox. The perfect positioning to be is directly above the opponent after the M, H, 2H (As shown in my video)so that the 2H hits the opponents neck/chest area.
That you should be in position to land the L, 2H. Also just keep practicing it, and it will come lol. Hope this helps
it’s not quite the relaunch combo, but CAP can do in the corner or close to the corner, S, J.M,(delay), J.H,(delay), dj.H, fall to the ground, l.char. star. I can’t quite also pull it off in a match, but it’s there
Hey thanks a lot for the help. I’ve managed to start hitting this fairly consistently against Hulk. Now I need to just adjust my followup. I was just going back into launcher but that doesn’t help anything. Kind of ruins the whole purpose for having a relaunch in the first place.
I plan on making my own guide to Captain america explaining mostly the properties on him. Mostly explaining the capacities of the character. I come here, see the very nice combo on the last page. Well what I’ve got is fairly simple, but if I see something in the thread that I think is interesting, mind if I add it in and credit author where it’s due?
I don’t plan on going too deep, but for instance in Ken’s post and vid: Never thought of it that way, but Shield slash can be combo’d in late in a combo if you have an extender that surpasses your startup. It’s logical, never thought of it, so I would just wonder if it’d be fair to include this kind of stuff with permission of course.

lol I use a modified version of your shield slash loop combo. Dont worry Gimpy you are still a godlike addition to the Cap community lol Glad to have you here man. . . . .But on a different note I am going to be recording some casuals tonight with my new laptop so it should come out pretty good. what tier do you guys think that CAP is really in?
people say he’s low tier, but I think there are some things that only he can do that make him atleast MID tier.
he has good matchups with some top tier characters like she-hulk, dorm, doom.
You know, I used to think that, but you have to ask yourself, who is really low tier in this game? Other than Hsien-Ko and Thor, most characters feel like they could be mid. Every time I try to put them in order, I find myself putting Cap in low tier as well, although higher up than most think he is.
