yea, joe doesn’t beat dark phoenix lol. Jump away, throw some track balls wait for joe to move, throw the forward eagle on the ground, more track balls while in xfc lvl 3?
joe’s mobility is not fast enough to deal with that crap nor can he trade projectiles with d.phoenix.
IMO, there is no character in this game that can fight dark phoenix. That’s why she should of been nerfed first instead of sentinel. The best strategy to beat dark phoenix is to never let regular phoenix transform. That is currently the most effective strategy that I’ve seen.
Doom missles are a great assist ON the right team. Its not exactly one of those assist that almost any character can use like drones or mag beam.
XF3 makes D. Phoenix stupid because XF3 makes everyone stupid.
And Magneto deals with her well. Gravity Squeeze stops all jump back fireballs, Magnetic Shockwave is fullscreen and like only 2 pillars need to hit to kill her, and his mobility makes him very good at running away, which makes it hard for regular Phoenix and D. Phoenix.
For all the discussion about who belongs where I was wondering if anybody wants parity in this game? Would you want Cap to be as viable as Wesker?
I find it odd that there are characters with such vast and complete arsenals of moves for any situation, i.e. Dante, there are some who are close, Spencer, and some who are lacking completely, Cap. I feel that to be a viable contender you have to be shoehorned into using around 8 characters for a viable chance to do well. Yes, I recognize that there are going to mavericks and that “on any given Sunday” a Cap can total a Dante/Wesk/Sent team (highly unlikely though it may be). But, you’re going to find yourself on the losing end most of the time.
I’m curious as to how the community would try to balance out the mix if they wanted to.
I’m not a Cap user QQing about my plight. I’m just trying to spark some balancing discussions rather than placement discussions.
Good 3 but number 1 and 2 should be swapped. Though Sent’s Drones is an amazing assist but compared with Tron’s Gustaff Fire there is a much bigger window to punish Sent than to punish Tron, much bigger. Now that Sent has even lower health he’s more susceptible to death as opposed to Tron.
I feel like this game is already somewhat balanced, there are just a few things that a lot more of the cast needs. I’d try and give everyone a balance of OTG’s, ground bounces, and wall bounces since those seem to be some of the most useful aspects of any given move. Given how few characters have as many of the tools as the top 10 or so, that would be the first order, IMO, Give everyone varied, but equal (in number) tools.
Jill’s air throw is godlike(I’m convinced it’s one of the best in the game as far as range, like the dog’s). Couple it with an assist that allows her to combo after it(after her OTG), and she can keep you grounded. Godlike air throw, with assist that allows combo afterwards, into DHC trick and your character is knocked out.
Jill by herself isn’t so hot, but coupled with some key characters she is amazing, don’t sleep.
it was on reaction… you just gotta be like really close to her to make it work, and i found that to be difficult, i’m just saying it has it’s downsides.
DHC from any character to any character safely, one provides a damage scaling reset. They can zone rush down and kill any character just about with two bars.
If people still had the mindset of mvc2 we would pretty much only see this team.
No gimmicks, just straight up synergy power speed and pressure.
