i was wondering has the game been out long enough to where teams are going to start having names ie msp scrubclops,
because i was thinking wolvie/wesker/akuma- team magic series or team 101- as its a very basic team as far as combos and execution but they get the job done. what do you guys think?

It’s not 600k, but you can get over 550k off hellcat with just Dancing Flash, if anyone is going to complain that Please Help me isn’t reliable enough since it’s a level 3.
Tokido’s Wolverine/Sentinel/Phoenix is still the scrubbiest team of them all by a big distance. Despite all the stupid hype for best friends Sentinel is still a scrubbier character than Akuma and the drones are arguably as good if not better than the Tatsu.
Yeah if you put in the effort it seems you can reach 600k off command grab with most of the cast. Even more if you wanna add the level 3 at the end or turn on XF or whatever else. Morrigan’s command grab seems to be the only one that’s basically just for mix up purposes.
Well I should know about Felicia being able to do a lot of damage off command grab cuz my brother plays her. She can OTG after her level 3 and build enough bar for another level 1 or another level 3 if she had 5 bars before the grab. Felicia gets one of the best mix ups to do more damage off her OTG since she can has a move that always pops the opponent back up in the air during a bnb. Allowing you to build up the meter for the level 3 later and do more damage or just kill them off with a level 1 combo and saving the 3 for someone else.
Dante/Haggar is really good as Haggar takes care of Dante’s only weakness, being rushed down, while Dante can combo off the assist with Volcano>Full combo.
Can also do some good command grab setups with Jam Session.
Eh, I wouldn’t go that far as Haggar, Tron, Shuma, Hsien-Ko and Hulk all have command grabs that don’t yield much if any damage without help. With Tron probably being the easiest to tack extra damage on (all you need is an assist that holds for a while, i.e. Iron Mand, Akuma, etc.) while the others either go straight into a highly prorated Hyper or need an OTG assist for more damage.
Just out of curiosity, I’ve heard you talk about your brother’s Zero a lot, but never Felicia. What is his team exactly? Or is his Zero and his Felicia 2 seperate teams. I know Felicia’s assist has mad unblockable potential, but never heard of anyone using them with Zero (though in throy should work nicely)
Well I probably haven’t talked about his Felicia much because back then it was more about his Captain America that could consistently do the infinite (which they took away). His Felicia is pretty solid also and of course in XF she has infinites and all that fun stuff too. Once he gets in the block string pressure especially with kitty helper and long ass range command grab is a bitch. He puts Felicia in the back and it’s pretty obvious after playing enough against that shit that she is the the best level 3 XF character in the game next to maybe Wesker, DP and Sentinel. Arguably in some ways even better than them because she’s the only character in the game that gets her own assist in level 3 XF (kitty helper). Sets up unblockables for her while she’s chasing you down with block strings and command grabs and even if you end up hitting her you have to launch her or super her immediately or kitty helper will break her out and put you in a combo. Characters that can runaway from it like Wesker have a bit better of a time but for the most part once she closes the gap you can just forget it.
His team is Zero/Captain America/Felicia. Used to put Captain America first but now that Captain America lost the meterless TOD he’s got Zero up first who can one meter TOD Wesker. Captain America can still easy TOD people with XF2 in the middle with multiple XF based infinites and his bnb’s can do up to 700k before DHC. Captain America is also a great controller of the mid range with multiple moves that pass through projectiles and his shield slash pretty much stops all assists but Tron and Haggar from getting on the playing field especially when combined with hyper charing star. Felicia he keeps in the back for the long ass level 3 combos and kitty helper cracked out XF3.
With Zero specifically he can create an easy mode unblockable with Felicia where he can hit you with a charged buster shot with a distance and then do a command dash on top of you with j.H while calling Felicia rolling buckler. Unless you roll out the right way you get unblockabled and lose a character unless he drops the combo. Can do it off a throw or generally any thing else that keeps you on the ground long enough to set it up.
Nice, I had no idea Felicia was so powerful in the back! I’ve toyed w/ the idea of Dante-someone-Felicia for a while, but never really pulled the trigger figuring Felciia wasnt worth dedicating the time to to be decent with at the end. Perhaps I’ll reconsider if she’s THAT good in lvl 3 lol
She’s a decent anchor. Has trouble getting in against some characters though.
The infinite is kinda just icing on the cake really. With XF she can easily kill you without it it just helps against characters with big health where you can just do a consistent combo that will get rid of them. The main thing is once she’s in XF3 tools that she uses that beat advance guard like delta kick and cat spike all become much faster and allow her to close the gap very easily even from near full screen due to her 45 percent speed increase in XF3. Once she closes the gap its not like Sentinel where you can just jump up and chicken block and deal with most of what he’s doing. Her strong air throw, block string, anti advance guard specials and command grab game will have you eating something eventually especially with kitty helper.
The best thing the infinite does is keep the opponent locked down and give you a combo opportunity should it hits. Since it’s her L cat spike that causes the infinite you get to do two things at once by using a move that doesn’t really push back Felicia very far on an advance guard and get the infinite if it hits. If the opponent advance guards the L cat spike she can easily dash back in and s.L, use M cat spike (which can cross people up and allows you to dash in instantly if they block the cross up) or use delta kick which easily gets you right back in on an advance guard with a dash up to stay in and set up command grab or air throw. If they advance guard too much they get pushed into the corner and then she can basically lock them down infinitely with block strings. Her 4 frame rapid fire s.L that covers a third of the screen gets a frame increase also in XF3 which makes it even more annoying to deal with since it will easily lead to TOD on a touch.
With Kitty Helper on top of all of that it makes Felicia within the top 4 or 5 most dangerous XF3 character easily. Unless your character can lame that shit out for a year (which even for the characters that can do it isn’t exactly a walk in the park to do because it only takes one random get in) you have problems.
Kitty Helper is one of the scariest supers in the game to deal with it. In fact helper supers would be mad overpowered if they gave that to a top/high tier rushdown character.There is nothing you can do to stop the super, other than praying that you tag Felica with a level 3 super.Combine that with the fact that the helper can interrupt your attack, and Felcia is free to you mix-up makes it a huge problem to stop.
Thankfully Felcia isn’t powerful enough as a character yet to rape people with such a underrated super.
The only thing really stopping Felicia from being within the top 10 is her limited avenues to get in on people playing lame. Though once she does get in with the kitty helper in XF3 there’s literally nothing you can do except pray XF guard cancel. You’re basically watching yourself die.
That and…y’know…lackluster damage outside of using level 3. And the fact that Kitty helper can be hypered through. And that Felicia’s normals can get beat hard. Stuff like that.
Well I was speaking more in terms of her XF3 abilities. Obviously Felicia without XF3 is something you can deal with. XF3 (or 2 even) Felicia = if you let her get in once you’re done. The character was designed around XF and with her ability to create death touches anytime off ground throw, air throw, command grab or just plain getting hit while still having something that assists her offense and protects her from combos will have her being one of the scariest characters in the game easily as more time gets put into her.
I dont really see how Felicia’s normals get beat hard either. She has a 4 frame rapid fire s.L that covers a 1/3 of the screen. If you let that regularly get beat by stuff then I dunno what you’re doing. Felicia’s s.L can easily contend with or beat Wolvie’s s.L. Her j.S, s.H (from a distance or frame trap) or M cat spike (causes ground bounce on counter hit) beats Wolverine’s c.L clean. Her s.M, c.L, or c.M also beats his s.L and s.H if activated early enough during a frame trap or footsies will stuff it also. Her j.S acts like Wolvie’s j.S where it’s an extended hit box that can easily beat a lot of ground normals or even air ones. She has a lot of normals and special moves with extended invulnerable hit boxes vs. other pokes.
It’s easy to set up kitty helper off a knockdown once you get in or after an air throw to toy touch.
Even without XF3 her “lackluster damage” is really just her play style. If she hits you with one combo just like Wesker the chances of you eating another combo are really good due to her varied mix up off air throw or resets off toy touch. Has a bunch of tools that keep her in on advance guard even without an assist and if she has one then that’s even rougher to deal with. With 2 reset based combos she’ll definitely have level 3 and can kill you off easily since her level 3 gives you OTG to do another level 1.
She has a Wesker/She Hulk thing going on where she just does an extended combo and end in OTG to get a mixup. Delta Kick and Cat Spike are + on block, she has a command throw. Takes some execution to play her.
Almost everyone with an OTG has that though.
Some Felicia stuff. She is powerful in XF2 as well.
From what I saw on the SRK guide, Felicia’s M+S is invincible, unlike Captain America’s Cartwheel lol!
