Dormammu is better than Zero and people list Zero as one of the best. I main Zero and have fought quite a few good dormammu’s lately. The Flame carpet stays out for so long and hits multiple times, he has amazing cross ups. And a great phoenix counter.
Zero has a tough time with dorm, carpet makes a bit of a challenging situation. Zero is B+ tier imo, his damage output is average and requires a dhc trick or a bit of meter to hit a decent 750,000.Zero is a good battery/mix up character.

Current thoughts but changes drastically over time. It is somewhat hard to start ranking B-D since I havent spent much time at all with at least half of them. Debating is good though because if everyone had the same opinions we wouldn’t get anywhere lol.
chars in order in tiers?
if so I’d put Akuma at bottom of A-, maybe ahead of Doom.
I’d swap X-23 and Iron Man’s spots… then swap Spencer and Skrull. put MODOK at top of B- tier - that MODOK player who has been front paged a couple times makes him very scary. he can play so lame, and his rushdown is surprisingly good, and his damage output is nuts.
if chars aren’t in order I’d just put X-23 up one tier, IM down one. I’d put Cap up one (MODOK player plays him too and just so long as Cap still has an assist left alive he can really go to work) and then put Arthur & Hsien-Ko same tier (bottom). I’d bump Spidey up one tier, too, he is definitely better than everyone else in his current tier.
The farther it goes down the shakier it kind of gets but for the most part I tried to put chars in order in the tiers. Remember though if someone is ahead 2 they are only marginally better IMO.
Spiderman is the character I literally know nothing about other than he is annoying to fight so I basically just kind of threw him in somewhere lol. I almost did put Cap up one and Arthur on the bottom funny you should mention lol.
I think Amaterasu, Dormammu, and Zero are better than Taskmaster, and She-Hulk is better than everyone in A- outside of Zero.
lol yeah go go ninja edits!
She Hulk is far too one dimensional to be better than characters like Trish and Viper.
If Wolvie’s dive kick didn’t bounce, his juggles would be laughable.

Look up the description for Wolverine back in 1998(!!). Some things never change lol
She-Hulk is top 5 for me, her 50/50’s she can create combined with damage and resets and health make her a devestating character especially when you factor in AA super. Taskmaster I feel will fall fruther and fruther down the tier list, almost nothing he does is safe on block. The only thing that keeps taskmaster towards the top 1/3 at the moment is that he has the second best airgrab in the game and his keep away is still tough to deal with. I would drop shuma a tier and I main shuma. I would also drop phoenix into the A catagoy, the fact that her worst matchups are generally the upper chars and her best matchups tend to be low tier chars, this really hurts her tier potential imo. Personally I would bumb up zero and drop dorm, I know his damage is crazy but his mixups aren’t hard to block and flame carpet is easier to deal with, even with melee only chars, than people claim
Dormammu isn’t talked about a lot but I think most people understand his relevance in the meta-game. If you look at tournaments recently Dormammu makes quite a few appearances and does well in most of them.
I think Zero is better than Dormammu overall but Dorm gives Zero trouble in the 1v1 match up. I am going to make my list and post it up soon to see what you guys think. It’s not going to be too much different I think.
Hmm gotta disagree with some of these. Doom cannot be compared to Trish or Akuma. Lack or ground mobility hurts him a lot against anyone that can manage to stay above him. On top of that the only reliable attack he has to get on the offensive is his j.M. Notice in every vids that Doom does well is when he has help. If that’s the case I’d put even Ironman above Doom.
I also can’t see Skrull and Spencer in the same league. Skrull relies on fairly effective week 1 combos almost like Spencer. Unlike Spencer, he has no DHC trick, no get-in-for-free moves, or a spammy invincible super.
Viscant has always said that Wolverine was consistently a retarded good character throughout the vs series. Everybody forgotten that MVC2 Wolverine was bystanders of Wolverine’s gameplay.
Wolverine was ALWAYS good.
doom is actually very mobile his mobility is just completely different from the rest of the cast and takes some getting used to. his j.l is also really good makes his tri/box-jumping magneto like
and i dont see how you can say he only does well when he has help we are supposed to be talking about these characters when they have solid assist backing them up right? like zero with assist is A+ tier but without assist all he can really do is jump around swinging that retarded j.H and that lowers his effectiveness at least by 70% which is about the same with every other character in the game…besides magneto/phoenix/dog imo
Yea like I have said before disagreement is good. There is no way in hell (especially this early stage of the game) that people are going to agree 100%… scratch that or even 80% of anyones list lol.
Anyways the reason I have Doom in that league is because how he can cancel all his normals and dash… thus makes him able to absolutely shit on pushblock. He also ha 3 GREAT assists that can basically help out any duo in some way shape or form. His level 3 is ridiculous… if you are down to Doom and anyone is attacking you activate level 3 XFC and do his lvl 3 hyper and it will always catch them… and it literally 100%'s half the cast, I have caught so many Magnetos with this shit killing them instantly if I correctly blocked the tri jump.
For Skrull I really think he is being slept on at this point. That command grab is scary and paired with the right assist he has some interesting things he can do to get in and open you up. I take “Combos” into less consideration than how good a characer is at opening someone up… anyone in this game can do damage thus mixup/first hit potential is more important IMO.
I love tiering, regardless how significant it is. It stirs good discussion and contributes to the spread and discovery of new technologies. Now, my philosophy to this is to use A through F to tier because I think the characters are a tad bit closer together in strengths and weaknesses than S, A+, A, etc. etc. Some of mine may come as big surprises and I’d love to discuss them. I am always open to changes in opinion. I will leave asterisks by the ones I think you guys may find weird (or scrubtacular lol). I have an defense for EVERY one of these but that doesn’t mean it is right.

I like your tier list Maverick, I would put Doom like 3 places up though, and Phoenix a bit higher.
I’d say Chri is WAY too high and Haggar is WAY too low.
