Yeah I dont see how people can play Chris effectively without derp invincible assist. That LLND guy I think uses Hsien Ko armor assist to back up Chris so he can do shit without worrying about people doing 10 moar years shit all day on his guns. Without one of those assists he’s like a bad Dormammu with that same weak spot on top of his head.

LOL. Flash and I think alike I guess. Dante is the smartest, dumbest and best shit in the game. Period. Capcom figured Magneto needed a Capcom based sidekick that can do whatever he wants whenever he wants for 10 moar years and that’s Dante. I was thinking about picking up Dante but…eh he’s too cheap. I prefer to fight cheap characters than use them.
I also agree that Trish is hella better than people know. I wouldn’t put her in top 5 or even top 10 yet because I haven’t seen everything but she definitely has the tools to be one of the game’s best. Storm will just never be better than her. Ever. Actually speaking of Storm…Storm isn’t even in his list. She must be in the secret F tier. Worse than Captain. LOL.
All I’m going to say about Iron Man is…he really likes Iron Man. People are afraid of his execution/bnb barrier but past that I see a lot of potential.
Interesting that he has both Doom and X23 in the middle of the pack like everyone else seems to. Those are the tiers of characters I prefer to play. Especially early on in a game where people dont know their overall potential and you can come and surprise them later with new shit. This game is about cheese so I figure to keep Wesker in there so I can have a bit of easy cheesy.

Flash Metroid’s tier list is more so a tier list of potential. It’s not what the our thread specifically asks for which is “WHO IS DOING ABCS AND WINNING?” shit. We already know what’s doing that but I’d like to hear more insight as to why he think Iron Man and Trish are so high. Trish having a cancellable dive kick has always been on my mind as a reason she could get retarded later on.
EDIT: Holy fuck I just realized he put Chris in A tier. Ima need an explanation for that LOL.

That’s the thing I have about Iron Man though. There’s plenty of characters with awkward normal and bnb games in other fighting games but when the right play is put together with that character they still shine. A good example is Urien in 3S. The only cancellable normals he had were like his s.MP and c.HP and neither of those hit low which is not something you want a game of high low parries like 3S. In order to get people to stop guessing low parry everything he does (since his low attacks lead to no damage unless he sweeps you which is unsafe depending on situation) he has to use awkward normals like his s.M which is also one of his only cancellable ones to set up damage. He also has to use a lot of abstract tricks like charge partition dashing in with headbutts to throw off parry timings and set up throws. If this was 10 years ago we’d be saying the same shit about Urien in 3S basically. Yet when people put all of his shit together and learned of his unblockable setups and crazy damage charge partition combos he went up.
Right now people are too concerned about who gets it popping off when you face roll ABCS on the stick.
Joe is still really untapped and underused imo he has a lot of good/solid tools but nobody uses him and he generally has to have a team built around him because slow super is so godlike and he has mediocre assist eventually i can see him being upper-mid tier

Flashes list is different for sure. I would like to hear some explinations. Chris at “A” is just a wow.
Thor is a decent character. His triangle jumps and resets make him viable. He has the health to spare for mistakes. I like Thor as mid-tier (C-Tier) honestly. Maybe I am just on the Mike Ross train though lol.

I agree Trish and Iron Man have HELLA potential but are not top 5 material. Iron Man’s assist is just so good and once you get past his clunky movement you have a high mobility character that hits like a hammer.
lol though i dont play the game and you do(or did) isnt that argument kind of a misnomer? i mean the bethonged one gets his ass kicked when he has no meter and then when he has meter, he becomes the best character in the game. his NORMALS dont make him good. they just kind of delay his death so that he can put some partitioning tricks together so that he can get meter and then (derp) his easy HIGH EXECUTION strategy into: you dead nucka.

ok, but beyond that flash has come in and stated why he puts ironman so high, its nothing new:
