Disruptarrr/Hyper Grav/Ever fought a lvl 3 X factor Maggy?
Or play him first and get all that without XFactor, except now you can DHC glitch…
When he has unfly he can lower people to the ground with mummy into RH with the short link afterward.
near the ground he can go from any long range 2lp, 5lk, 2lk, or 5lp into the 5MK SJC ADF, lk, mp, mk (or lk straight to MK against crouchers.) then go straight into the midscreen variation of the loop I do here Note the links to hit that ADF short are incredibly stupid hard. --;
Sim thanks to his stupid hard loops can push to the corner then do an all fierce infinite with execution.
As for 300%, his combos move someone to the corner by their nature, thanks to the stupid speed of his air dash and length of his limbs ADDF roundhouse hitting with a specific part of it beats out block, get hit and push block. All options go into 49 fierces/roundhouses xx yogablast xx yoga inferno which thanks to its number of hits always does enough damage for a dead character (Robot execution of course.) IM with gauge and the right partners can do the same thing as shown by Josh360 or JuanniG’s play who each have multiple videos of them hittin 300%s IINM.
He is one of the best anchors in the game. Why would you ever bother posting such naive questions? If you don’t understand why Magneto is good at the end of a team, then you know very little about this game- thus your opinions and comments on this game are worthless to any serious player.
Next you’re gonna try to tell me She-Hulk is good last.
Jesus Christ dude.
No she’s not.
But he is right though. If you already have a DHC combination in your team (Dante/Wesker is most common), then Mags as an anchor for that same team is fine. Even without it, he’s a better anchor than a good 80% of the game. Disruptor comes out blindingly fast and does a good 15% of someone’s life on chip (Don’t even get me started on Shockwave’s chip and how it beats most projectile hypers in terms of durability and it pushes you full screen away). It’s very easy to whittle down someone’s life bar in a matter of seconds. He becomes so fast that most of his stuff is unblockable and it’s Mag-fucking-neto, he’s going to kill you if he touches you.
Basically, he already has the tools solo to do everything, which makes him a good anchor. Just slap level 3 Derp-Factor onto that now. You win! The reason you see him less on anchor is only because he is such a strong character on point, with or without assists, but rest assured he’s top 10 anchors easily. Probably even top 5.
Magneto can already close the gap and mix up better than most of the cast. As an anchor obviously he wouldn’t be anything but pretty damn good.
Magneto is in the same boat as Wesker. It’s more strategic to put Wesker in the front because he builds meter fast and isn’t reliant on meter to do damage. Though if you put Wesker in the back…he’s still one of the most threatning anchors in the game. H teleport 4 way cross ups with air S, 1 frame command grab on a 30 percent faster wave dashing Wesker? Yeah if that’s not good I dont know what is. I’m more afraid of Wesker or Mags in the back than Sent in the back.
For that team I would play Magneto/Dante/Wesker because of how retarded easy it is to DHC glitch and how much better Wesker is in XFactor level 3.
I never said he’s bad third, I just don’t ever see a reason why I would put him last.
Dante
-Starts Trick
-Ends Trick
-Needs Projectile Assist to start Teleport Mixup/Offense
Wesker
-Starts Trick
-Ends Trick
-Needs Projectile Assist to start Teleport Mixup/Offense
Magneto
-Starts Trick
-Doesn’t need assists to be good, but they help
One of these three is clearly not like the other.
I think I’d rather have my point characters have access to all their tools and still keep my anchor with all of his tools too. It’s debatable whether Wesker or Magneto should go in the 3rd slot, but it shouldn’t be a surprise to you if that’s why he’s last on said team.
[] Incredible speed
[] Land one hit and your opponent is dead
[] Amazingly fast overheads, and lows
[] You can build two meters in a combo and xfactor into his level 3
[] He’s one of the best counter-phoenix matches.
[] If you outlasted your opponents xfactor you can keep him out easily, if he doesn’t have a teleport you can Shockwave, and they are forced to take the chip and it pushes them to the other side of the screen.
[] If he lands one throw on you, and he has xfactor- you’re dead. Combined with the fact that you can ADDF OS air grab.
[] He can SJ and fly across the top of the screen outlasting and avoiding an opponents Xfactor
[] One of the hardest characters to keep out, with xf3 even harder.
[] Magneto XF3 is the closest you can get to playing xf3 Dark Phoenix with another character.
Are you so naive to have overlooked these overwhelming factors?
Yeah Dante, Mags and Wesker are all such bullshit characters that you can almost do whatever with the order and see success.
Anyone is a good anchor with x factor. But Magneto has more strengths at the front of a team then at the back, and when there are so many other good anchors, why would you run him as last? It makes no sense.
Because tools don’t mean anything unless people see consistent results, and anything other then that is just playing theory fighter based on potential. You can argue that a character has amazing tools and potential on paper, but in reality they’re terrible.
I like what Viscant said last night on WNF and I feel that it holds truth here. It was akin to something like “everybody is trying to create tier lists based on a characters tools, but when you get right down to it who does Wolverine lose to?”. (Sorry for butchering what you said Viscant )
But it’s true. On paper, Wolverine really doesn’t have a lot of tools but he fucking dominates everything.
MODOK, on the other hand, has a lot of tools but he still has a hard time against a lot of the cast.
Tier lists are based on tournament results and high level play, not online play against randoms, and right now we’re just not seeing many MODOKS able to keep up. Maybe there will be some at EVO, but right now MODOK is just a head of potential in a giant helmet wheelchair.
You made my day, thank you.
training mode/exhibition combos doesnt translate well in practical game play. chun li can also technically turn any hit into an infinite in mvc2 and she has mobility but no one in their right mind would right her highly.
theoretically, all characters with air infinites has a 300% combo. until someone actually pulls it off consistently, its no big deal. like i said before, the closest thing i’ve seen to a 300% combo is iron man but even to this date, i havent seen an iron man that kills the whole team in one hit. they might be able to kill 2 and half characters, then it gets dropped because of execution error.
magneto players drop rom infinites all the time (and its not stupid hard to do) nor do sentinel players hit his unblockables 100% of the time.
Yes he is a better point character than most, but he is a very capable anchor still. In the team above (Dante/Wesker/Magneto), he’s probably the best of the 3 to play anchor. It rarely happens, but there are teams where Magnus is simply a better anchor (Like take three random characters such as She Hulk, Tron, and Magneto. She Hulk is clearly meant to rush down first and Tron isn’t as good of an anchor as Magneto, so it would be best to put him in the back there.)
On Paper Modok is really good, meaning when I play him he’s fucking godlike.
We have a couple Modoks in socal, and I sat there with two MODOK players yesterday learning the ins and outs of that character.
Modok is an amazing zoner, with great speed, and unblockable without the help of an assist. His supers do amazing damage, he can start and end the DHC glitch, and all three of his assists are AMAZING.
His barrier assist is so good that I’ve dropped Tron for Modok because barrier is superior to Gustav fire- at least on my team.
Since when?
Magneto with Gun Shot unblockables and Weasel Shot mixups > Magneto with nothing. I am way more afraid of Level 3 Wesker than I am of Level 3 Magneto.
He can do all of those minus the Level 3 XFactor stuff regardless of what spot he’s in.
Since Mustang Kick
