No… just no. Mid Tier would already be a miracle for Modok.
Iron man isn’t a shitty character. He’s not great but he’s far from bad. He’s got a ton of tools that can get you success. He’s got double jump, flight, 8 way airdash, decent projectiles, can otg for himself, decent damage, good health, and fairly good hypers. I mean, he’ll never be top tier because a lot of characters are better than him but he’s still like mid tier. It’s just that you never see anyone use Iron Man cept Viscant because if people want to use those tools, they’ll use a character that has them but just better versions like Storm or Magneto (who can DHC glitch unlike Iron Man).
I disagree again. Modok definitely has tools to be a great character. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him near the top in the future. I remember before the game came out I thought he’d be a character that people would use a lot because of his crazy keepaway. The dude can have shield, bomb, and zone you with beam and an assist. Plus he has a tricky jump/flight thing that I’m sure people don’t even understand fairly well.
I would say Shuma is mid-ish. His damage is atrocious compared to the rest of the cast but he does have some nice tools in landing that first hit. His air “FRIPPPLLE” move or whatever the hell he says/the move is called is completely spammable because its quick and leaves you + on block. His Mystic Ray assist is really good. But yea that damage is just sad to see.
Jill definately seems like she has some good potential though, really interested in seeing where she goes.
Shuma’s damage output isn’t that bad and he has a decent high low command throw game that goes into damage on on the right team. He also has okay zoning and a beyond amazing assist.
Jill has way more than DHC glitch starting going for her, she has great mix up and pressure and a lot of situations to set up invisible overheads/lows Apparent in some Twisted Jago videos with her I think.
Ironman: Note that despite him being the weak link and most execution heavy character on Viscants team he’s still on the team and a vital member of it.
MODOK: has a lot of region control from the air which is primarily Phoenix/Trish territory. That lone gives potential for him to definitely be more than mid tier, also shield interacting better against characters with better hitboxes is also something to take into account about his future.
Im interested in hearing who you think is overrated. I have really enjoyed reading your thoughts on the characters with a lot of potential (underrated) and why. It has given me a better understanding to them in which I had not known before.
So yea who do you think is overrated? So far it seems like you have had nothing bad to say about a lot of characters lol (not that thats a bad thing)
Tokido’s latest videos from a tournament in France in early May were really hard to watch. Tons of dropped combos, bad decisions, poor pressure. I don’t think he’s touched the game since Final Round. I wouldn’t look to him for clear direction on the state of the game.
What you said is ok, but the other characters can do all of these even better.

Agreed 200%. Viscant could post ten pages about the Dragon infinite in World Heroes and I’d still read it twice lol

I agree some characters are arse, namely the captain and Hsien-Ko. However some characters I feel are over rated are:
She-Hulk: If she’s inside she’s amazing, I put her dramatically lower on the list than everyone else seems to however as I feel any team with competent Zoning can avoid letting her ever get into a situation she’s strong in. Having such a profound weakness I think overrides her strengths and incredibly mix up/situation creation that she has once she’s in.
Wolverine: He’s very good and has some things where blocking on reaction is not a possible decision thanks to ambiguity. I feel a lot of characters that can control the ground from the air IE Phoenix, Trish, MODOK all win since they negate his ability to use Berserker slash to get through. Also people like Viper who have option selectable things that beat out either side of berserker slash while zoning tools prevent Akuma/Sent drones. I think he’s better than She-hulk, but unlike most I don’t think he’s top 5 or even top 8.
Sentinel: All his greatest strengths are when he’s not on point, DHC glitch, counter in hard drive, great assist. On point I think every character in the top 8-12 destroys him and a lot can blow him up as an assist as well.

In Marvel 2 War Machine was an Iron Man that was for all intents and purposes worse at everything, if you listen to Marvel vs Capcom 2 - Shoryuken Wiki, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Strategy and More! then he’s still the seventh best character in the game, having a top tier character that does everything better than someone doesn’t make them a low tier character, obsolete maybe, but they can still be dramatically better than other characters who don’t even have access to similar tools Characters sadly like the captain. 
I love how personal experience determines how good the character is anyone who says ironman is bad or an assist character only is pretty dumb imo and I am not saying this because I play Ironman. When you look at him theres literally nothing wrong with him hes fast, good damage, good tools, decent health theres no reason to assume hes a bad character if anything hes just hard to play unlike most characters learn the difference

I actually think She-Hulk is underrated. Sure, after Final Round she got a lot of hype but it died down extremely fast. Besides myself I only know of maybe 6 other She-Hulk players, and at least 4 of them are from Cali. I’ve never even played a real She-Hulk mirror. It’s possible to get zoned out by a good Dormammu, but that’s why you play Taskmaster/Amaterasu. She-Hulk teams literally have an answer to everything thanks to Tasky/Ammy and Tron.
If anything you’re severely overrating Viper. She isn’t THAT good. Everything she does right now can be done with 100x less execution by a Wolverine, Wesker, Taskmaster, or Magneto. In the future she might be godlike, but I don’t see why I would put the effort into learning her when I can just use Dante.
WTF!!! Sim sucks? The ONLY thing wrong with him is that he has a stupid hard execution barrier and he has very low health. Is there any other reason he sucks?

LOL at me bodying people with Ironman/Doom/Ryu. I think that Ironman can actually be one of those mother fuckers that is a sleeper. Though his fly combos are tough, when you hit them right, that’s 70%. His zoning is not awful either and his LVL 3 is OH SO GODLIKE!!! I can’t tell you how many times I mashed out a LVL 3 and won the game lmao.
That’s just my opinion. Please don’t hurt me cowers in fear
She-hulk + task is better than her solo, but if you’re against someone with Task assist who also has a projectile it kind of blows up her ability to get in.
That’s the problem with Viper, she is ‘that’ good. Actually without a DHC she hits higher damage than all those characters and zoning is also better than all those characters. They however all use X-factor vastly better than her X_X.
When I see they’re using a keep away team like Honzo’s I don’t even start She-Hulk.
I think Viper is good, but she’s lacking. With Magneto I can just ROM, DHC glitch into almost anyone to kill. With her I need godlike execution and an assist to kill. She’s extremely high risk, high reward while other characters are low risk, high reward.
I watched your videos and obviously Iron Man is the weakest link on your team, that’s why many people don’t think he is so good outside of his assists.
