Lol ok Wolverine haha
my ranking of character easy-ness based on how many days to pick up and be a legit threat
1 day: Wolverine, dark phoenix, dog
2 day: taskmaster, wesker, akuma
3 day: magneto, sentinel, dante, zero, trish, she-hulk, dormammu
4+: viper, iron man, modok, doom
Wesker should be day 1. Only execution you need with him is how well you use his mix ups properly after OTG gunshots and what not. Which isn’t hard, air throw, simple air loop. teleport behind etc. He is the definition of low risk and high reward with 1888110821408134908 health.
Although I do think we need to stop bringing up how easy and hard characters are to use unless we are using them in arguments in how good a character is (like the chance of dropping something for a high execution character might bump them down a little). It just seems a little off topic when we are just comparing who is the easiest just for the sake of doing it.
Yeah the whole “I got H’d by Hulk and it killed me” stories are fun but…
FUCK Hulk.
this
Green man, red connection? You can’t win.
lol, nice.
Thing is tron sucks on anchor. Shes aight in the second spot, but then you dont get to use gustaff anymore. I know how to play too but when i get to her Im pretty much like “well, I lost” because shes just bad by herself and even lvl 3 xfactor doesnt help.
To be fair, that’s because many players are still doing sub-optimal combos and have overall bad DHC synergy.
When Marn’s magneto hits you, you’re dead. It should be the same for a lot of the better characters in the game.
The thing is that half of those characters are better at keepaway than Arthur, and Chris in some ways. They basically gave some of the best zoning tools to characters that don’t need it. For a bonus, they are fast characters that keep it up the pressure. For instance Wesker’s gun+ teleport is one of the most ridiculous tools in the game. He can make it impossible Hulk/Sent/Haggar to touch him. They gave the bastard the ability to chain his gun shot in X-Factor into a combo.
They gave Magneto the best beam projectile in the game. He even has a deadly XF L3 beam that has insane stupid repetitive speeds. He can spam it shutdown all of Sent’s options for instance. He is one of the faster characters, and he has insane plink dashing speeds when flying. He can keep Haggar out better than Arthur because he has the speed AND the tool to do it.
They gave C.Viper…this
The bitch makes it unsafe to call assists. Nuff said.
Meanwhile MODOK can’t zone like the best because he has no effective zoning tatic. At least not to the levels of C.Viper, Magneto, and Wesker. He is the only character in the game that can not spam his projectile super for chip. He has do some much retarded work for him to do some decent chip . Instead he is given the tools to rushdown because of his unique mobility properties. Which is why MODOk holds his own against the cast while Arthur truly can’t.
Yeah, but thing is teams that are good dont always have to be touch of death like Marn. In fact, (even though I lost) I played MArn before and I’ve at least got him to his last guy a couple of times running my Joe/Deadpool/Tron team which is based around zoning and landing that SLOW state to finish off the foe… So thing is teams should be about either A.) Touch of Death/High Damage B.) Zoning C.) Bad states/situations (think vjoe/x-23/shuma) D.) Resets… Or a great mix.
How about actually getting good with Tron?
Tron is really not bad at all. Especially with a beam assist. Put her in first or second spot and she’s at her best. I have no idea why people say Tron sucks on anchor, then continue to use her as an anchor. She was no intended to be in that spot. I can’t wait until the Tron Gustaff Flame assist hype dies down so people can actually learn her.
Lol did you just compare a level 3 x factor character to Magneto? If any character has to be in level three XF to be compared with Mag then… well i think you get the point.
Having a great assist doesnt change the fact that H-Ko is likely the worst character in the game.
Viper not hard? lol
Tron’s j.H isnt what makes her a good character. just because spamming it against beginners works wonders, doesnt mean shes bad without it. she has hypers that she can link into one another, above average dmg output, multi-hitting c.L j.L standing M and gustaff flame, decent mobility (great considering her 1.2mil health), excellent meter building AND an awesome assist to top it off.
lol again at comparing lvl3 XF Morrigan to Magneto
You could say that Tron is bad as an anchor spot but if you got 2 really good characters backing up Tron she’s not terrible at cleaning things up. The only time Tron is terrible useless as anchor is when she has to fight off 3 full health characters. If you play like Ten Stars team of Dante/X23/Tron 1 or 2 characters were always dead before Tron had to came out. Plus Tron protects Dante and X23 so well that landing hits that led to combos was rare. Tron basically works as a free combo breaker.
Tron has a lot of good tools that dont involve j.H. People just j.H because it works just like how people used run c.M and S with Sentinel because “it worked”. Plenty counters for abuse of it and she has a lot of tools that people aren’t using on point like her s.H which has projectile durability and can be whiffed into L drill to get through projectiles and beams. Her tiger knee’d drill is only negative one on block also.
I’m quite amazed that you always talk about Viper, yet we have no proof of her potential. (except MarlinPie… 1 execution god that could own harder with anybody else).
Don’t take it bad, but weren’t you some weeks ago saying that Sentinel was not even top 10 ?
Good bro’, check at the overall tournament results and see really if sentinel anchor isn’t game changer. And If Viper is god tier. Godamnit.
Sentinel in the back will always change the game but so do like 10 to 15 other characters in XF. Not a big deal to be a game changer in XF when like plenty of the cast changes games in the back now too. The best thing Sentinel brings at this point is a strong assist for pixie types and random factor in the back. There’s plenty of characters with better actual tools than him.
It’s pretty much impossible to say there’s no proof of Viper’s potential. She can control any area of the screen anytime she wants. She’s basically a better version of her SFIV self.
