Chillin meign. Pretty much got done playing SFIV as I never really thought the game was interesting and only really played it to support the community. Like this game way more (well the fact that I actually like it period is good) so been coming up with a lot of stuff and going to local tourneys to test things out. You end up dropping Morrigan for some new people?
x-23’s level 3 is amazing. Just for the “kill one, get one free” set up.

So I see alot of nays for Jill. I don’t think she will be such a bust.
So what assist does she work well with? She seems like one of those characters that needs that certain assist.
I would for sure have a beam or other strong projectile assist for her like iron man repulsor blast or something for Jill. I love using Doom beam assist with X23 because it basically gives X23 a projectile and works as a way to burst her out of getting hit by combos because Doom always appears behind X23 to shoot the beam. Been a lot of times where I feel I’m in trouble and will just call Doom beam because if I get hit Doom beam is gonna back X23 up and shoot them out of their combo. It also generally makes it easier for X23 to approach with moves like her M talon attack (dive move that goes straight forward towards the opponent in the air). You can call Doom beam then immediately do a tiger knee M attack so X23 is flying at the opponent with an attack while Doom beam is out at the same time giving her a great path to get in. If the beam hits you can to land and do a combo.
All 3 characters aren’t terrible at getting in by themselves in certain matchups because of their quick wave dashes but in other matches you have to use some type of beam projectile assist or other powerful projectile assist (obviously hadoken or soul fist wont cut it) to help you get in. Considering the projectile assists usually double as a defensive measure to save your low health character from taking a full combo it works well in that regard also.
Jill’s teleports are definitely supposed to be used in conjunction with an assist. The ones talking about how her teleport has vulnerable frames probably dont have a good assist covering it. It’s the same complaint other X23 players have about her mirage feints. That they dont have invincibility frames in the middle like Wolverine’s berserker slash stuff. You’re mainly supposed to use those moves after an assist to keep the opponent in block stun or use them against an opponent’s advance guard so you pass through the advance guard and stay in.
I wouldn’t say nays… rather no one really knows much about her yet.
Jill’s assists are all very decent due to their speed and priority but arrow kick definitely takes it as her best assist due to it’s wall bounce. I think Jill is low but not because of what she can do (she can rushdown and her getting in isn’t too tough because gun super is safe and places you next to your opponent). My main issue with her is that she’s very high risk medium reward due to her low health and low damage (off non sweet spot hit confirms). Low tier characters aren’t bad in this game as much as there’s just better options. There hasn’t been any characters I felt are completely incapable due to their tier.
Arrow kick is a pretty cool assist as its the only (one of the only?) assist that wallbounces and scores a hard knockdown. I tried playing Jill for a while but I hated how little damage she did for so much effort. Same reason I gave up trying to learn Morrigan and Shuma. I think she’s gonna stay low for a while unless someone figures out how to do crazy shit with her level 3.

Ive dropped Morrigan temporarily until the next iteration of MvC3 comes out. Focusing on Jill…and praying for Psylocke DLC. I played Jill a lot in MvC2 on my low tier team and I absolutely loved her…I wish we still had MvC2 Jill =/
She can do 600K+ for one meter…thats not really bad…sure, its not wolverine, but its not bad at all
Nah its not bad at all but I’m a lazy motherfucker and the effort needed to do such a combo was too much for me
I believe the other ones that work the same as her Arrow Kick are Spencer’s Armor Piercer and Wesker’s Ghost Butterfly but the crappy thing is that Wesker is the one that needs it so you’re down to just Jill and Spencer. I usually use the Cobra Strike, dash up, assist, OTG and it picks them right up and they get hit by the assist. It’s the setup to the perfect Phantom Dance.

He is a good drunk character… like Balrog in SF4.

I’ve been telling people from the start. Wolverine is so top-tier, that a scrub like me can pick him up and go 15 in a row day fucking 1.
Wolverine is so easy to play, yet so good, that when Wolverine gets switched out for Zero, I have no idea what to do with him. Damn shame how easy Wolverine is.
