This. I checked it myself and you’re not gonna be doing any big damage death combos to someone like Wesker unless you do the trick into somebody who can do a crapload of damage and carry the damage like Zero, Dante, and maybe Sentinel (haven’t tried him so I’m not sure).

You can’t do the trick and one shot kill DHCing to Thor, Regular Phoenix, or Wesker (all of them without X-factor or Level 3)

How are you getting 300-350 pre-DHC? You using assists? I’m just using her normal series into it. As was said, you can’t go pretty far into a combo to get Peek-A-Boo to hold long enough for the 1st hit of High Voltage. Can’t even do ground series, launcher>:h:,dive kick, land,:l:,:m:,:h:, peek-a-boo, High Voltage.

Guess i’ll stick with unblockables rather than some fancy shmancy dhc glitch. Getting 1 mil off 2 meters spent and getting 1 mil off 1 meter spent and ending up with 2+ meter gained, the choice is pretty simple.

So, the Top 5 is set in stone as far as I know right (Phoenix, Tasky, Ammy, Wesker, Magneto)?

Oh and people should start looking at Ryu now. Im convinced that he is the most rage inducing character in the game thats not in the top 5 or top 10. And thats only after a day of trying him out.

Why does Tasky keeping jumping into top 5s at random?

personally, i think her damage output is pretty decent without the dhc trick, but according to everyone, she does subpar damage because she can’t kill you in one hit or a 700k combo with one meter.

Most have beautiful hitboxes but they are slow as shit and she still loses to anyone with a sword. Going head to head with Zero, Dante, Trish or hell even Mags in the footsies game is generally suicide. So you end up doing whirlwinds and trying to zone them which they have the tools to deal with and then you just get rushed the fuck down.

No offense but if you think that then I think you don’t play Storm very well. She has one of the best footsie’s in the game.

IMO Felicia has potential. She has some of the game’s best normals, extremely fast, can OTG off her level 3 into another super which can kill most of the cast without any glitch shit. She just has a high execution barrier and some trouble getting around zoning. Once she gets in though she’s a huge threat with the best command grab in the game. Everyone hypes up Wesker’s one frame command grab but you gotta be like really in throw range to land that shit. Felicia’s has a 5 frame command grab with very solid range which IMO gives her the best command grab in the game. Felicia has so many ways to keep you on the ground once she gets in that she can easily sneak in a 5 frame command grab with great range that leads to full combos and resets. She is really good in XF also. If she gets near you in XF and you dont get hit…something’s wrong. She has so many ways to set up command grab and can easily infinite you or do a basic 100 percent combo in XF. She also has a bunch of moves that negate advance guard which when she’s in XF you pretty much aren’t going to be push blocking her out with much effectiveness. I’d rather go toe to toe with level 3 XF Sent than level 3 XF Felicia…she’s just too stupid when she gets in. Unless you can fly and rain shit down you should pretty much be done on one get in.

Other than getting lamed out IMO she has a lot of potential in the future. Her ability to constantly block string you once she gets in is just ridiculous. She barely needs an assist to keep you blocking because of all of her moves that negate advance guard. If you have her towards the front you’ll need to set her up with assists and build meter for her so she can set up kitty super unblockables. Overall though I think it’s better to have her in the back because she has one of the most self sufficient and difficult to defend agianst level 3 XF’s in the game.

As far as her assists and DHC options her rolling buckler assist is solid as its a 2 hit move where the 2nd hit hits low. Which makes for a great block string to stay in when people are advance guarding and set up unblockables. She’s a really safe character to DHC into if you need a safe way to get a character back on the bench. Kitty helper works like Zero Genmu where it recovers instantly giving Felicia the ability to self unblockable once she gets in while saving the health of your other character. The super being a non hitting super means she can follow up the DHC glitch easily also and kill people. She has an OTG move also which makes it easy to pick people up off the ground after the spinning flyback from the DHC start.

can we stop talking about magneto and dante for a few pages please? also can people attempt to learn that 600k is actually really bad damage in this extremely high damage game?

Agreed with gimpy, instead lets decide on whatthe bottom 6 are, not top 6.

The problem I dont like with arguing the bottom characters is it just gets into too much of what people dont really know. Most of the characters that people think aren’t awesome still haven’t been shown to their full potential and are mostly characters with lots of room for improvement (maybe outside of Hsien Ko). They’re all characters that you have to do more than ABCS with to win and we’ve already kinda went through how characters like Hsien Ko, Chris, Arthur, Joe etc are towards the bottom of the spectrum for now until further notice. Right now people are mostly going for the characters that can do the most on both offense and defense and characters like Wesker/Dormammu/Magneto etc seem to be great for that.

Characters like Arthur and Chris are too reliant on forcing chip and not so much damage which at least for now doesn’t seem awesome for tournament play. We’ll see though.

why in the hell would we want to talk about bottom 6 aka the characters that are never used.

in different news, im now thinking i MAY have been a bit hard on ironman… ive recently been picking him back up and i noticed that his standing m is the only normal that ive seem consistently trade with zeros standing h.

this means that ironmans standing m is close to godlike in priority and phantom hitboxes. this move alone was doing my ironman well and giving me confidence to play the midrange game for longer spurts of time.

not that it’ll change his tiering or anything, but yeah its a new tool to me.

I’ve been saying that Iron Man is basically an air dashing Vega/Claw. You can’t fuck with them normals. Someone with good spacing picking up Iron Man is going to be a pain in the ass.

Storm’s footsies are really reliant on her movement not so much the quality of her pokes. You aren’t outpoking those chars. It’s the combination of tridashing that makes her footsies good. Their buttons still beat hers overall though.
