shin basically said the upper shom was entirely out. I said he was wrong and he was.

but he did not mention about the lower/quicker setup of launch. He is indeed correct about that not working the same as I have tested.

I dunno if it helps, but I’ve found early lk, wait, d.HK or early lk, mp, d.HK to help when you hit them early on next gen mvc2

PS3 Madcatz TE with some swapped parts but no system mods, and I used the default button config.

i hate when my sentinels beam is right on storm when she hails. should stop her but…NOPE.

sentinel’s hsf seems to pick up a lot higher than supposed to. it seems that all three hits always connect. you never get that thing where you are hit then you hit the ground and are able to roll.

Worst glitch yet! My down went out, I thought it was my stick but it never had that problem before, and the moment I got back into the menus after the match, my down returned no problem. And it wasn’t like the switch was acting up and misfiring, it just flat out wasn’t registering at all. It worked perfect during the match up until it stopped, then directly after in the menus/char select/other matches it was working perfect again.

Anyone else?

Right now the lags are killing me.

Not sure if it’s been posted, but in the start of each match when it says “fight” it freezes up for like 1 second and causes this odd lag in frames. I remember me and magneto x were playing offline and it still did this. I remember I jumped on someone and it glitched me back onto the ground because they hit jab and I was half way in the air. Always happens too… Crazy 0_o

Even though it’s old… Cable’s hyper viper being unblockable offline as well is just really annoying. This port isn’t tournament ready at all for those who wish to run tourneys on it… Lots of work to be done.

Is anyone else feeling that hitstuns seem shorter?

I mean, even offline, I’m having a little trouble doing trijump HK into dash and lk with magnus.

Doom’s infinite seems way harder to do also. I really think that all or most of the hitstun time in this game are shorter than they were before.

Also, I got hit sometimes when i should have frame advantage, but that was online and could be lag

Just chiming in with an unusual bug I discovered. I was in a lobby for a match that appeared to not be connecting, so I hit B to back out, but as soon as I did, the match started. However, once I entered the match, the menu screen background stayed open and the game itself seemed to be stuck in some kind of transparency layer on top of it. You can imagine how annoying it was to play with transparent characters with a swirling white background the whole time:yawn: Once the match was over, everything went back to normal. I may test this further later. This was on the 360 version btw.

on PS3 though.

was playing online, and we picked our characters, went to start match, and i just got a white screen. no sound, couldnt push buttons, couldnt go to dash board. had to turn xbox off and back on.

double blind from HDR. Its getting pretty annoying @ this point. One player waits for you to pick your team and the other counter picks. There’s a reason double blind was in HDR. People will just sit there waiting for you to pick your team. I waited with someone yesterday and the game actually picked both our team since neither of us would pick. Then he dropped because he didn’t get a chance to counter pick.

Maybe a small DC rate like in sf4. I don’t want to play against players who drop every game and there are people who do that. The other day, I played 20 games and 10 of them quit on me :xeye:

set ping limit on player rooms. Really annoying trying to sit there and play with a group that have great pings with each other, and random lagger joins the room and fucks everything up.

when doing quick match, or creating a room in ranked, have the option for a certain level of ping players to join. you don’t get to pick like with search, but it’s annoying creating a room and playing low tier (or sometimes even top tier) against random peeps only to have them have a shit connection with me and win only because their scrubby top tier teams now have teleporting assist.

and yes yes yes to double blind too. It’s just really effing annoying to me. I only pick 1 top tier team 1 low tier team regardless, but still. especially if it’s someone who goes around waiting on the low tier characters here and there, i pick low, and then they go straight to top tier. get that shit outta here

launch, j.fp xx air dash df xx j.fp, OTG c.lk, c.hk (or c.fp), follow ups

follow ups = hyper grav, shockwave, air combo, infinite, etc.

I tried this combo in training mode and I cannot get anything to come out after the c.hk. I tried to hyper grav, super jump, shockwave. Nothing comes out. I tried to substitute the c.hk with a c.fp for a relaunch, but I cannot jump after them. Magneto just sits there. I can’t even cancel the launcher to shockwave.

I don’t know if it is just my timing or execution, but I thought this combo worked before. Can anyone verify this for me?

this is not a bug, the second j.hp puts your opponent on flying screen, and that prevents you from super jumping or doing any special moves until it ends.

it was never possible doing anything after this, your combo has the same properties as 5-fierce.

I’m suspecting that there’s just generally a one frame+ lag on block transitions. When playing against Rogue and Storm and some others, I’m getting hit by a lot of really dumb stuff, mostly on me jumping+blocking. It’ll be interesting to see what shakes out when they they fix the unblockable AHVB issue. Some of the “highly rated” Rogue users are just exploiting some dumb-ass broken stuff in the game currently - seeing some of them play has been laughable. (No real offense meant - I’ve just played a bunch against Vegita-X and other really good Rogue players, and haven’t seen anybody within miles of that online as of yet - but then again they too may be hampered by the lag frame.) As far as I can tell, Jumping Rogue, Storm, Warpneto, and Cable really get the biggest benefit from the new world order, with Sentinel (on match opening) getting the next best boost. =\

I don’t know about anyone else, but once they commit to some semblence of a team, I pick a team around their level. If there was a ranking/banding system as in SF4 where you play people around your own level, double blind might make sense, but if I’m playing scrubs, it’s more fun for both of us to be able to pick correspondingly skilled teams.

What WOULD be ideal would be an UNDO function to unpick a character (or bogus assist type selection). I generally am OK with “negotiation” where they highlight a character, I highlight my corresponding character that I would then pick, and we dance a little bit until somebody commits. But enough people from SRK are weasels about it that I don’t bother committing first typically. :lol:

But Undo and Blind Select aren’t in the game, so it’d probably to hard to add it retroactively. =\

Added everything I’ve seen reported so far to the first post. A lot of people are posting issues that are already mentioned, so check on that post first. If your issue is NOT mentioned, get it on camera and post a video. :tup:

does anybody’s xbox freeze when people quit on you? btw, anyone know if it’s bad for your xbox if it keeps freezing? something really has to be done about the freezing.
