With Strider I am getting reversed inputs with noticeable frequency. I try to to teleport (reverse DP+P/K) and I get Ghram (DP+P/K). I’ve been playing Strider for 8+ years and never (literally NEVER) had that happen on arcade/DC/Xbox1, and I’ve had it happen no less than 20 times since I’ve been playing the 360 version. Hell, I’ve had it happen twice in a row.
Have any Sentinel players noticed that when they try to do c.fierce->fly, they are getting c.fierce->drones or HSF instead? Or is this input reversal Strider-specific?
I’ve played a good bit of strider online and I haven’t got any flipped around inputs with him yet. However with sentinel its a different story. My fly inputs become HSF and this has happened on more than one occasion, thats a pretty hard mistake to make. I thought I was just tripping and chalked it up to bad execution but I guess other people are experiencing it as well.
is the reverse input only happening on the teleport? do you ever get the inverse like a gram turning into a teleport?
Yeah, I can’t think of any other (popular) character that would get a wrong move from input reversal… most would just get nothing.
I actually have gotten ghrams from attempting to teleport before on arcade. Haven’t really been paying much attention to frequency here.
Hey Preppy I know this has prolly been mentioned before but these are the two biggest things that seriously need fixin ASAP:

cables unblockable AHVB, either frames are dropping out and becoming instant or Back Bone fock this one up.

the general game speed of the xbox 360 Mvc2 version is way faster than the Original Dreamcast one. Many, i mean many combo’s that use to connect in the dreamcast version are near impossible to pull off in the xbox version, i’m thinking its the general game speed. maybe a comaprison between the two (dc n xbox) frames/times could be tested out to see whats exactly going on.

i have never seen or done so many double lk’s in mag’s infinite, it usually should go lk, med kick, but fockin double lk’s come out crazy often, dunno if its the game speed or uff up here. Trust me its not me, i think every other magnus i’ve seen and played pulls this double lk off.

the speed doesn’t seem to be waaay fast. what are some combos that can’t be done? I stopped doing double lks like after the first day playing
i come down with lk mp, its flawless. also, i think i said this before, i don’t think the game is faster, i think there is less slow down in the game. if you do a triple team with iron man, bb hood and war machine on DC, it slows down and takes like 5 seconds. on xbox, its instant so it “seems” faster. its an illusion
^-- I’ve heard from People that there is less slow down, and that in at least one notable case they had to introduce slowdown to keep an important combo from breaking.
The only real slowdown should be sprite-loading related - such as your first triangle jump, etc. =\

Sorry, I should say that there’s less introduced slowdown in any fashion that affects actual gameplay.
Side by side video examples of this affecting gameplay would be excellent.
ok maybe i came across a little unclear (politely), i don’t mind the game being “faster” per say, but missing simple combo’s is bullshitt! i seriously thinks frames are being dropped/skipped. because if the game is faster, then you should still be able to do the combo by doing it faster. refer to the later, doing it faster does NOT make the combo’s come out like they should if at all. now this is just focked up.
two perfect examples:
- sent super jump double rocket punch combo, shit is mad hard to pull off
- sent-assist storm ground typhoon, then sent grab, to down rocket punch super, shit don’t connect/is mad crazy hard.
the dc version both of these things were solid. there are many other combo’s that are near 007 impossible to pull off. not necessarily cuz the games faster but because… … i guess frames are being skipped/dropped.
MegamanDS- about mags infinite, come down lk, med kick, bet your shit bust out double lk, lk. this is what i’m talkin about
I guess the dc mvc2 to xbox 360 port, just can’t be done. Damn its ashame this is the 3rd failed attempt at this. i know not all hope is lost, but i put down my LEFT NUT on this though.
despite these major flaws the game has been entertaining to this point, now shitt is getting retarded fast. I’ll throw $1000 of my own for niggas to get this shit fixed right, serioulsy i will :china:

sj cancelling magneto’s standing rh definitely seems a lot harder on the xbox 360 version then the dc. Same with sj cancelling ironman’s d.mp, and trying to go into the infinite off of it. If you dunno what i mean about ironman i mean the d.lk, d.mp, sj. lp, dash forward, lp, up+fierce, into his infinite.
i do lk mk in rom all the time. I’ve seen double rp combos online several times. I don’t know the 2nd combo you were mentioning (hard to understand).
it also seems like you need to sjc hk and IMs mp a bit quicker.
ya, that happened to me a million times, i can’t rom til dizzy. That’s why I changed it from lk mk to lk mp.
I think magnetro posted a vid of the lk recovery time is a lot faster and that is why that happens. I’ll look for the vid.

in player lobby, after i lost a match i continued to play as another member in the room. my screen didn’t say spectator, but it was clearly not my turn and someone else’s name at the bottom of the screen. i got a win for them and then quit to dashboard.
(i wonder wtf they were thinking watching themselves play a match… )
yeah i do the lk mk all the time with lk lk. what i’m saying is that i bet you CANNOT do it consistently.
bet those double RP combos were prolly the last ones you’ll see for awhile. honestly its not even worth trying to do that anymore cuz odds are your fockin’ miss fo sure.
ROM-ing til dizzy, good luck! i’ve seen it done but rarely, now opponent just waits for your fock up.
i dunno, maybe i’m more time sensitive than most players, but this shitt has gotten me pretty upset lately.
try this with Storm: trip your opponent with storms med kick, standing RH, then SJ cancel lk. This shitt is pretty hard to pull off now. The only times i pull it off is by trying to break my lk button with my finger. Dc version shitt be like candy, xbox version is like a biatch with AIDS, just cain’t happened in a systematic consistent fashion.
as far as the lobby problems thats a whole another nightmares. first get the core of the game straight, then get that lobby shitt fixed. i’m pretty sure that lobby stuff is way easier to fix than the mvc2 xbox port issues.
oh yeah looks like evo ain’t gonna be having mvc2 this year if its gonna be on xbox360. :sad:
