I agree you gotta ban tron assist, and also ban spiral.

Only reason I think doom should be banned is his ability to control so much of the screen when he’s on point. He can be chased down by top tiers, but low tier characters really can’t handle doom. Also his infinite is retarded easy and can lead to super/dhc death just like iron man or war machine.
If you can’t handle playing without Tron then it sounds like you need to step that game up 
Name a great low tier player that doesnt use his helper. Have you ever seen Vdo NOT use his ken assist?
exaggerating the dmg and ignoring the properties of the helper is a quick way to show me that you’re lacking the knowledge to even discuss this. I’ll check back in later to see how it turns out.

I’ve updated the player list again.
As of now I’m planning on adding Black Heart to the ban list, since no one seems to think he belongs here. I’m not going to ban every good assist and decent character just because some people think it’s overpowering. I’m not saying that I’m not going to bar any more characters or assists, it’s just that I’d rather get this off the ground and see what happens before I get all rule happy. Let’s keep it simple at first.
I’d rather hear what people think about how this will be run. Should I split up the competitors by region as I have and conduct weekly ranking battles? 4 weeks to a season? I think I can rely on players to set up matches themselves and then report the results to me (or regional captains, if anyone volunteers) so I can update them here.
I want a system where I play everyone, I don’t wanna be stuck playing people only on westcoast. that would get boring really fast.
The whole whole thread except 2 people including yourself states that tron and spiral should be banned and you want the see how it lay out Maybe someone that actually knows low tier should make a official thread and create a system that works.This thread clearly failed from the beginning.
My concern with that is lag, and that’s it. I’m in Florida and played a couple west coasters, and the lag was unreal. Hopefully we can get enough players to make big regional leagues. Have you played any east coast players? What’s your experience with lag been?
Avrice, Mixup, Effenhood, and myself either don’t have a problem with Tron’s projectile assist or have explicitly expressed interest in using her in a team. That’s 4 people, including myself. I’m not pointing this out to show how wrong you are, but rather I hope you take it as me taking your complaint seriously and reviewing the thread.
I’m happy to consider the suggestions of other players (as I already have with putting Black Heart on the ban list), but please, could you keep it constructive? As I’ve said before, right now I’m more interested in getting things off the ground than playing theory fighter.
TacticalPanda, I think you just should change the name from “low tier league” to “non-god tier league” since some people don’t seem to get the point.

Look, let’s say after a few weeks of ran bats 70% of the teams use Tron assist. It’s basically X/X/Tron. Well yeah, that shit is weak, and I’d be more than happy to ban her assist. I think you misjudge how this is going to look like in practice; I think most people are going to rep their favorite low tier team. Yeah, a lot of these are going to have Tron’s assist, but I doubt it’s going to be most.
And Spiral… well unless someone pipes up about keeping her I guess I’ll ban her too. No love for Spiral. If only BoyUzi were here…
Right now I’m a little more interested in what format you guys would like to do this in. Ranbats? Tourneys? When things are up and running, I’ll petition the mods to sticky this, and I’ll get more serious about what particular characters and assists we should abandon. I’m sure we’ll have polls and so fourth.
And hey, if you get good ping to the East Coast I’ll hit you up for a game when I’m online next. Maybe the players I had before just had terrible connections.
