Do not sign up before reading this!

This is a Double Elimination tournament. The bracket, current matches, and deadlines will be updated in this post.
Matches are best 3/5, and results are reported to me either on a post in this thread or PM.
Turbo 1. Timer at 99. Winner keeps team but can change order.
Players may not use turbo inputs.
Players finishing in the Top 3 can not choose any of the characters they used on the last match they play in the following tournament. (If you make it to loser’s finals and your last team was spiderman/jill/thanos, you can not use those characters in the next tournament.)

DEADLINES and how they work:
It’s my job to let you know who to play, and it is YOUR job to play your match. This is a multi-day tournament.
Deadlines are Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday mornings EST, when I wake up/before I go to work or school. (usually around 8am.)
Contact your opponent through SRK or LIVE. If you are having trouble contacting a player post here to let me know about it.
Matches that are not played by the deadline are decided by myself.

08/24/2009 Ranbats week 1: tharimirattler destroyed people. 7 wins.
08/31/2009 Ranbats week 2: Not a whole lot of matches, but that didn’t stop tharimrattler from achieving the most wins. Players who were active in the thread since the previous week or were new to the league get included in groups.
09/07/2009 Ranbats week 3: I was supposed to put something about tharimirattler here…
09/21/2009 Ranbats week 4: Someone needs to topple therimirattler. 4 wins is the most yet again. Gambit121 and ShawnLoganownzu split the coveted Not As Good As Tharimirattler prize.

Also, are strider/doom and bh/clops banned if they’re together, or are all those chars banned period? I think bh and doom should just be banned period, strider and/or clops really aren’t that powerful without their counterparts, at least imo.

I think you made a typo there, chief. It should be Strider/Doom (Beta). Beta is Doom rocks, not Gamma. I’m sure people know what you mean, but just in case.

Hell yeah, I’m in. I’m the master of low tier characters. I use the decent low tier characters such as Guile, Charlie, Cammy, Akuma and Thanos.

I don’t now if this is gonna be a tournament or what, but I’d suggest just a “jam” format. People hook up at a certain time and get multiple 6-man rooms going. It’d be a great way to get some low tier matches in with experienced players.

just throwing out my two cents about banned characters… i thought tron should be, but really its not that bad.
Psy on the other hand I think should be banned or at least her aa assist cause the invincible frames and priority are just retarded sometimes… but I don’t mind her cause I don’t play her.
