Ol e-stalkin ass.:bluu:

Hey guys, here’s two songs I’m working on. Let me know what you think

JammyJam (Breakcore/hip-hop)
http://www.zshare.net/audio/1328497892c2b1f5/

Music for Puppes (poppy/chiptune)
http://www.zshare.net/audio/13284921fa5c4318/

Sounds like Elephant Man lol. It’s ok, I could kinda see it in a beatmania game.

I think it might actually be Elephant Man. I rip samples and never look back.

I don’t think most hiphop heads will like it/get it, but thanks for checking it out.

Hey can you guys help me out:

If you get the hardware/software only, is that gona be enough to create a full studio-like sound? If yes, what type of hardware would you recommend - ranging from PC specs to stuff like mics, mixers?

Edit: should I look at this type of setup: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Audio_Workstation?

Also can somebody recommend a good audio forum?

forum for whatever software you decide to use.com

Got a new song up on www.myspace.com/benacosta I couldn’t quite get the clipping/distortion in the first minute out of the track, although it’s not very audible at low volumes. I can’t really do much about it now since the whole thing was made in FL Studio 8… demo :frowning:

Got a bunch of stuff in the 1st link in my sig. I need help with mastering though, often my stuff is too loud or too low.

Put up 2 new tracks. Did Really You? in a few hours yesterday after first hearing the song (used a low quality source). I want to do more with it, but it involves getting Jeezy ad lib samples. :stuck_out_tongue:
With Wunki, I was going for the simple 80s b-boy feel with some funk.

This is the first version I did of Really You?. I wasn’t (and still am not) happy with the bassline.

new tracks.

Anyone have any Pro-Tools experience? Due to collabs, I’ll be switching over to this sometime soon, but I honestly don’t een know what to expect.

I’m installing it now because it’s one of the requirements for a Sony Game Music program I’m involved in. Let’s see how it goes…

I use protools, but only to layer and record vocals on tracks i make in reason.

although i used it extensively when i worked for a communication group as the assistant post audio production engineer, however that was mad versions ago. protools is the truth tho.

Pro Tools is ubiquitous, and very powerful. I can’t stand the workflow, though.

add it

2 new beats

called “war ride” & “have fun kidd”

wierd names i kno but i couldnt think of names for them haha

1st run in Protools, made this: http://www.zshare.net/audio/175381640c98130d/

I’ve been thinking about picking up some used ROMplers, because I like that sort of late 80’s/early 90’s videogame-ish sound they have. Now, I need to know what I need to hook them up to my computer. I’m planning to just send them MIDI data from FL Studio, but my computer doesn’t have a MIDI Out, so I suppose I’ll have to get a USB MIDI interface?

Most of these modules have separate Left and Right mono outputs, so to join them into a single stereo signal I need something like this, right? There are Y Cables that have two monos at one end and one stereo at the other, but I’ve read that these are to be used for splitting rather than joining, and that trying to use them for joining could cause damage?

The multiport MIDI interfaces and audio mixers are expensive, so I’ll probably just stick to plugging into and recording each module separately in turn, then mixing on the computer.
