Aw man, I totally forgot about Rob and Big. I loved watching every episode of Rob and his big black buddy’s antics! Damn, some shows like Rob and Big and The Jersey Shore seem really stupid when you read or hear about them, but once you see them it’s like wow that’s an entertaining as hell show that now has got me hooked.

well extra 3k x 10ish episodes (wikipedia lists 9, a reunion, and some after hours crap) = $30,000
They can skip out on the show and just do club appearance for 5k throughout the year. Of course if they pick that route they only get 1 year of stardom, but if they choose that then they are praying another network will pick them up. It’s a risk, but 90% of the time these guys don’t have a basis to make a decision they just listen to whoever is booking their shows. (Uncle friends with people who run the clubs at the casinos up here. So he kind of filled me in on how they get people to come and how useless they actually are about money negotiation to the point where their agent basically does everything and they just shake their heads.)
A lot of the time their agent take risks such as this. It a factor of their egos getting too big and they are making too much money at the moment which makes them think they can keep it up for another 2 or 3 years. People tend to forget that reality tv star are easily forgotten overnight.
Personally if I was in their shoes I would do the show for as many season as possible THEN do the club circuit after. Jumping into that club circuit too early usually = no more shows a year later.
Those kids from the Hills are getting paid 100k a show, and that show fucking sucks.
I thought all the cast members were dumb asses at the beginning of Jersey Shore, but they all kinda grew on me. They keep me entertained. They deserve to get paid at least, if not more than the kids from The Hills.
The kids from Jersey Shore are all cool, and you can tell that they don’t take themselves that seriously. Even The Situation has become a self-parody. That’s what makes me like the show. They’re actually having fun, and there was very limited drama. There was drama, but it never went to blows really. Ronnie would come seconds from knocking The Situation out, to partying like 10 minutes later and they’re cool again more or less. Its all about having fun.

People hate on MTV because its TEEN TV or because its FAKE. Hell Its to be entertaining and its what this is. Do people honestly care if you watch the history channel and try to act intelligent. Being intelligent and witty seems to be a boring trend that everyone follows. I watch TV to be entertained. Rob and Big + this show, give me good vibes. Its funny.

This is true. People always hated on guidos, white ppl especially. To me, they are cocky but they dont tend to start shit with other people. College BROS do (the guys they got into fights were the college bro popped collar type.) Guidps fight and are assholes… to each other though. They never really harmed me.
Also I was surprised as well how they hated on each other and ten were family. I’d probably let that get to me and end up carrying a grudge.

And if that season goes well, they’ll be make twice as much for the next season.
