I’m not big on Samourai Showdown but I heard that Enja had this rekka followup that was ridiculously hard to get but you were rewarded with huge amounts of damage for it. I guess it may deserve a mention ?
Marvel 2 Sentinel… it’s not humanly possible to play him at even a remotely optimal level.
MvC2 just has an engine with so much depth and freedom that a good portion of the characters are pretty much impossible to play anywhere near perfect execution. There’s a lot of characters out there that are strategically difficult to use, but character’s like MvC2’s MSS have that and some. Just way too many variables in the game.

I haven’t played a ton of fighting games, but I’d say Melee is pretty crazy with its execution requirement.
Seems to me you don’t know I-No well enough. Rather, you clearly don’t know her or the actual game well enough; especially if you’re gonna simplify things like that and make them sound easy. I could do what you do and say that “Venom is easy once you learn ball formations and get charge buffers down, then it’s just zoning with balls herr derr”
Guilty Gear characters are alot more than that; and I-No is definitely more than just muscle memory (this goes for every character in every fighting game btw) and ‘meatie notes’…if you’re gonna describe any character like that, you clearly don’t understand or appreciate the game.
Nah, I just don’t have rose tinted glasses on when it comes to the Guilty gear series. She is a barrier for entry character(Frc Chemical love, mobility) that once you get past that its all basic game mechanics and said muscle memory stuff. If you pass the execution barrier you are good, which can’t be said about characters that actually require a bit of thinking past Knockdown, Note than High/Low/Grab mixup. I’m trying to figure out what magical aspect of her I am missing outside of execution?
you dont want to miss a single hit in this game, you can and will be punished by any attack you miss since the game was so clunky
Rose tinted glasses? Lol. I’m not gonna sit down here and explain; you either get it or you don’t. You clearly don’t, so stick to whatever games you know instead of acting like you do and spouting ignorance.
I’m sure the UK GG scene was pretty Boss. keep the dream alive.
Yep, you’re an idiot. Keep the flag flyin’
An idiot that understands that one barrier for entry move doesn’t make a execution heavy character! Gotta remember Honda and Chun are the heaviest execution characters in sf4. On the record you started with the name calling. Good day sir!
fate unlimited codes
hokuto no ken
take your pick of any character from these games (besides dark saber) cause they’re all pretty damn hard to play
I have a feeling this is the proverbial Tibetan mountain mashers must go to learn patience when pressing buttons.
Melee Fox. There’s literally shit only SilentWolf and Dark can do. No one even comes CLOSE. Fox is technically the best character in the game but do to inconsistently with play (cause your execution will fail) he’s not really considered above Falco.
MvC2 Sim has been pissin me off since 07…
I see VS on here but no mention of Bish? Bish has some tough shit yo. I would say up there with BB Hood.
GGAC Venom and I-no are just impossible. Zappa too.
Tekken Tag Mishama’s were extremely difficult. Ever try to Light Dash? Good luck with that.
SC4 Setsuka is up there too.
Any stand character in JJBA
I think Urien is the most difficult SF character of all time.
MOW Dong gets pretty ridiculous with the feint cancels…
Brawl was hard to play. Ya know. Nigga kept breakin controllers the execution was so hard… oh wait, I threw them.
If by Mr. Karate you mean Lee Pai Long.
LPL is pretty much the only character in NGBC that has any real execution heavy combos.
I mean…if you don’t know how to Piano the hits for Tung’s Muscle Man than yeah…I guess he could be difficult.
Marco is also an honorable mention.
jedpossum mentioned Bish on page 1. A good Bish is scary stuff, but it definitely does take hard work.
all my normals look the same gragrhgrhghrghgh
My top vote goes to Melee Fox.
lol ‘sol badguy’ likes this. I can just imagine ‘hard execution is for MEN. And HALF MEN ROBOT THINGS’
what about modok?
Nina in tekken 6. try to sidestep 1 swayback to instant Ivory cutter. in order to get the Ivory cutter you have to plink it…plinking in tekken?! also to get the flapper combos with her guess what you have to do…TK notations!! That’s why americans play bob because characters like her take too much skill.
Also execution on pad seems harder than stick.
Fate Unlimited Codes
Marvel 2
and I’ve heard Hokuto no Ken (though some characters aren’t terribly difficult).
Fate is retarded hard but within the realm of human execution which really makes those combo video style combo’s used in real matches. I once saw someone do sabers infinite until it juggled my archer to death … I wasn’t even mad because I’ve tried that shit … you have about 1000 points you can fuck up, go to fast, go to slow or whatever. Luvia is one of the tougher ones though Archer is probably the hardest of all. Gilgamesh has hard stuff but its not necessary for him …
Marvel - game was to much for us mere mortals
