Apparently, it’s official that there will be a collector’s edition. It’ll cost 10 bucks more, just like the Deception premium pack. No word on what will be included. I hope for a perfect arcade port of UMK3.

Yup, from what I heard it is UMK3. But I don’t know if this one will have bugs like the MK games on Midway Arcade Treasures 2. And I better not have to redue the Ultimate Kombat Kodes everytime I open the game this time.
Mortal Kombat as fallen too far off to redeem itself with this one game. The problem I think is that Mortal Kombat has crap characters. the Fatalities are stupid! The combos aren’t that impressive and graphiclly all the other 3-d Fighters have them beat. What they should do is…iunno Mortal Kombat is doomed!

The fact is, Midway doesn’t care if it needs to redeem itself or not. Unfortunately, it’s one of, if not the highest selling 3D fighter on the market.
The series seems to be doing just fine, regardless of what you think of it. You’ve got a funny definition of “doomed”
MKA probably won’t be much to you hardcore fighting game players, but I expect it to be a vast improvement over MKD. Parries and stuff should help with the balance concerns. I’ve learned to not trust Ed Boon with anything.
Believe it or not, I’m considered to be arguably the best to ever play MKD(along with players like m2dave,check,thuggirshruggish. Yes, there’s actually people lame enough to actually play the game till it’s death for over 15 monhts. The game is terrible, yes, but for people who can’t travel like myself(i’m 16 with no car or job…lol), it’s a nice way to compete in fighters. I also have a deep passion for MK that goes back to when I was a kid.
Give the game a chance. Rent it at least. Maybe it won’t be the best fighter you’ll ever play, but perhaps you’ll find some joy in it. Look forward to seein yall on the server.

I just hope the air combo system isn’t too out of control. It already looks that way, almost like DBZ style air fighting where they are just floating in the air. Usually when they introduce something new it is totally broken, and now they won’t have a way to fix it.
Versatile, I would like you to post on ultimatemk.com for MKA when it comes out if you have the time. You and Konqrr will be all over it I’m sure. I’ll buy it but more for the KaK than anything else.
