I just, wouldn’t do them ACCORDING to the situation. I like to play Rush down as well as Zoning which all of my females do ^^ buuut, what I won’t do (I, personally) is rushdown a wolverine (LOL!) and Wesker Zero and Vergil. I know Morrigan’s j.h and j.s has great priority, but on a scale of- is my midscreen bread and butter of 600k worth a ToD by either of these characters? And nooo, I completely agree, Morrigan’s Zoning skills solo are amazing, I just mean that with Missles, they’re unmatched ^^ I’m sorry if I come of as overly assertive and close minded rarara. I guess conveying myself through typing skills aren’t exactly great haha

It seems very dumb for people to play morrigan and not spam AV. It’s so safe with the right assist. It’s boring and OP and derpy as shit but it wins and that’s all that matters.
Not really. Honestly ppl are kinda dumb on how to get through it. Instead of them figuring it out, they whine.
AV is matchup dependant on how well you can keep them out. Vs something like haggar or hulk? Yeah AV all day long. Against a viper/doom/strider team? Really risky to try to set up.

Basically, you can crouch under Hawkeye’s Gimlet and avoid any possible chip damage.
- Morrigan needs to be on the ground.
- BEFORE the super freeze, Morrigan needs to be standing. Walking back or forward is fine as long as she’s standing before the super freeze.
- During the super freeze for Gimlet, input and hold crouch until the arrow flies over her.
If Morrigan is already crouching during the Gimlet super freeze, crouch-dodging will not work and she will be hit or incur chip damage.
At full-screen distance, Morrigan can crouch-dodge any Gimlet from any jump height. However, the higher Hawkeye is from the ground and the closer Hawkeye is to Morrigan, the smaller the crouch-dodge window becomes.
I have not tested crouch-dodging with all the other characters. Crouch-dodging Gimlets won’t work with shorty characters like Joe and RR because the difference between their standing and crouching heights are not as significant as Morrigan’s.

I’m not sure how many people know of the soul drain loops Morrigan is capable of, but in case anyone didn’t here you go.
This was my match against J.Wong to qualify for winners top 8 at Shadowloo Showdown this month. He was too hard, and I’m still very bad at the game but if you can take anything from these matches, I’m glad to be of help to other Morrigans [media=youtube]IcbU2eWrpFM[/media]
How can you say you’re very bad when you almost made top 8 with plenty of damn good players? You took a game off Jwong! You play really well, you’re not bad at all lol. I don’t know what to say; it looks like you had trouble keeping Wolvie and Storm from getting under you. I think you should’ve used Astral Vision more too. Good gameplay though, every little bit of gameplay helps!
Morrigan j.L prevents wolvy from airgrabbing you pretty well and you can cancel that into soul fist. I think its just tatsu giving you issue cause Akuma will eat soul fists if you soul fist wrong. Gotta predict that assist and kill it. Its akuma so a couple of hails should kill.
Don’t sell yourself short bro you did excellent. You play Morrigan the exact same way I do, not pure keepaway but not pure rushdown either. Only thing is I wouldn’t have chosen to do any of those THCs and raw tagged so much. I guess you were trying to catch his Akuma with Hailstorm, but I definitely would’ve saved those meters for AV. Especially considering that Wolverine has no way to escape the chip damage.
Thanks guys Yeah, I raw tagged a lot, and THC’d a lot haha, I played not really well against him. I don’t know, the THCs were done because I was scared, I was like “Omg. it’s justin wong” dahaha. But yes, I regret not spamming on AV. I only used it twice! dammn. I should’ve just lamed on it the whole time haha. But I look forward to getting better and vsing more American players. Can anyone please link me to some good TAC combos for morrigan. I’m working on a second team that has Zero, Morrigan, Phoenix and after a TAC i’m wondering what combo I could do that doesn’t involve meter. Please and thanks guys
Why not just exploit her TAC glitch?
Well I will try and do that it’s just that I’ve come up with this “combo” that I want to do just so I could pull of a lightning loop just in case my opponenet knows about it. I just want to build as much meter as possible. Like I do a standard zero combo then up TAC before hitstun takes effect then do a morrigan TAC combo that builds alot of meter then dhc to phoenix and do a phoenix combo and end it w/ her ground bounce move into her light trap move then do her super and dhc into zero’s clone super and lightning loop. The furthest I’ve gotten so far has been up to 1mill damage doing this. I can’t really setup lightning loops w/ zero solo as of yet but I’m practicing on it lol.
Gotcha. I’ve always felt like Morrigan should, somehow, be able to combo into Soul Drain after a TAC, but I just can’t seem to make it work…
So I do have secret tech then! Well, not secret anymore I suppose. I’ve been doing this since december but don’t have a capture card and I just made an account lol.
Midscreen down TAC:
Air dash down, immediate soul drain, fly, ADD, j.S, soul drain, shadow servant
Air dash down, immediate soul drain, fly, ADD, j.H, down TAC (sometimes causes a glitch where the opponent gets bounced by the tac but morrigan stays in.
Side TAC in the corner:
just soul drain right away
ADD(crosses under), soul drain, fly, whatever you want
Huh, really? I tried these and it didn’t work, but I’ll fiddle and give it another shot. Maybe I just wasn’t being fast enough. Nothing off the up TAC? Seems like a great way to kill Phoenix players. Thanks for sharing!
