Thanks for answering MM. That really sucks to read but I understand. I love my controller btw so keep doing what you do
For those of you wondering about an arcade stick attachment for the controller. A while back Sundance, who is the CEO, retweeted this photo. Also there a quite a few pictures of the custom options on his twitter as well.

As for making a Kitty type mod for it, it’s going WAY back on the todo list. Im still very disappointed in the Dpad behavior, and with the complicated workings of the pad, it would be a nightmare anyways. It’d be a lot more fun to replace the mainboard, but that’s hella down the road. I did make some replacement Dpad boards that should be arriving tomorrow. Im hoping to replace the nipple style activators on the Dpad with tactile microswitches with different size actuators; with luck, I can find a tactile switch to use that gives me the feel I like with the dpad, but we’ll see.
Im really curious if the designer was introduced to 4066 chips from my UPCB/Imp/Chimp work It was rather weird seeing them there.
My 360 version controller is acting weird.
When I hold down the Y button, the Left stick / Pad become completely unresponsive, but they work again as soon as I let go of Y. I’ve tried getting some clarification from Madcatz support but they haven’t responded to me for almost a month and it’s getting really obnoxious.
I’ve tried using all six modules and it’s the same no matter what I put in there. Is this a feature put in for the FPS players for whatever reason that I’m not aware of (like R1 and R2 swapping on the PS3 controller if you hold Start for a couple of seconds) or is my controller glitched?
I got the 360 version on my birthday, its by FAR the best controller I have ever used!! I am using it on the pc and with the added weights it just feels quality!! I love it, I really do, big thumbs up to Madcatz and team for this controller, it passed my previous all time fav ( the Controller S).
I went to buy a PS3 version and sadly it says preorder on the website, anyone know when they will be back in stock?
Looking forward to the additional thumb sticks and covers too.
Does anybody have a true judgement on how this feels compared to a PS3 pad?
It feels horrible compared to a stock ps3 dpad but hey, at least its better than a 360 dpad
It doesn’t. It has all of the feel of a 360 pad in heft and activations, along with a dpad that is different than a stock 360 pad, but still an unacceptable dpad.
I live in New Zealand - where can I purchase a PS3 version from?
So has anybody been able to test out the FightPadPro module floating dpad for this controller? Thinking about buying one but wanted to see if it was worth the investment. It seems pretty small, or is that just the pics and how does it compare to say the Sega Saturn Dpad or the Mad Catz SFIV Dpad? I already own multiple fightpads and just wanted to know if this is worth the $15.
Hmm I was thinking of getting the PS3 version for Call of Duty and War for Cybertron, how is it?
Anymore opinions on this?
Poop.
So I picked this up out of curiosity/alternate controller for when I jack up my fingers and it was really nice for a while.
Ordered 4/5/2012. Recieved ~1 week later.
1st minor problem was that the matte panel for the left handle didn’t quit lie flat. Oh well. No biggie I’ll just use the glossy panels.
Slightly not so minor problem: this past weekend after ~30 hours of use the right bumper started to fail (barely responds, slow return to neutral, no audible cue that it’s been pressed; left bumper still nice and clicky). Right trigger is also having some problems in that it has a lot of lateral movement and feels like it’s well on its way to falling off.
Further complicating things was the 23 minutes I spent on hold with customer service before giving up on getting through to an actual human being today.
I guess the word of the day here is disappointed.
Sorry about that. If you want, set up a support ticket here and once it’s set up email me the info (PM me). I’ll make sure it gets expedited.
Thanks for your help on this. PM sent.
Revided!
But seriously I bought one of these pads for PS3 and it’s been sitting there because A- the dpad in unacceptable for fighters and B- the O button takes way too much force to press down making JGs in SC5 almost impossible (I swap my left and right face buttons). I tried to contact Madcatz via support tickets a few times now and no email response… I would like to buy the Fight Pad module but it I can’t get the button problem fixed it’s still useless to me. I had hopes for it too. Quality build but the finer points seem to lack precision.
they have a floating dpad for this stick now… I guess its time for me to pick it up… I got tons of pads but the SF4 pad was the best one out the mix however I didnt like how big the buttons were causing massive input problems but I think this pad will solve that problem plus I need it for my collection
Sorry for the late reply. PM me your issue and I’ll make sure it gets taken care of.
