I keep mentioning the PS3 version because that was the one no one knew anything about until now. Originally we were going to launch the Xbox 360 version first, but now we will launch both at the same time!
Thank you for clearing that up, Warkman.
Awesome. I have tool at the ready for vivisection as soon as mine arrives
Oh I forgot about your devilish twin.
When will pre-orders for the PS3 version on Amazon be available?
^ soon
Thanks MarkTheMan i have found my father day gift. Can’t wait to pop that open and get an MCC in it.
Preorders seem to be shipping. Anyone take delivery yet?
I’m wondering if the PS3’s L2 and R2 will be triggers like the 360 pad, or rectangles like the default PS3 controller.
Is this only available on Amazon? Will any stores be carrying it?
Since I’m mainly an Xbox player, that D-Pad looks a hell of a lot better than the stock d pad on the Xbox controller and would love to test it out for Mortal Kombat.
It looks like a redux of the original Xbox controller which those things were pretty uncomfy no matter if you had the spaceship version or the size for actual human hands. Might get one from someone that threw a MC in there

I’ll probably grab the X360 version sometime, mainly because a) I play more games on my 360 either way, and b) eventual dual-modding is easier that way.
My only gripe is that I prefer the look of the PS3 buttons on the all-black faceplates; the white house icon on the Guide button and the colored face buttons on the 360 version stands out a little too much on the all-black controller…

First video review.
Both controllers are identical in mapping/feel. So yes L2/R2 are the same as the Xbox 360 LT/RT.
Markman: 2 questions about the 2 D-pad modules in regards to something the reviewer you posted above said.
About the PS3 D-pad module: the reviewer said of this “… with the discreet buttons.” Are they actually separate buttons (like the Razer Onza), or is it just a one-piece D-pad that looks like it has separations (like a regular Sony controller)?
About the X360 D-pad module: I noticed that you guys went with the “+” look (like Nintendo’s pads) instead of the circle look (like Microsoft’s, or the Genesis/Saturn style). My main complaint with the circle style of D-pad is that, more often than not, you can press down the center of the circle, and all 4 cardinal directions get pressed in (happens most notably with stock X360 and the Dreamcast D-pads); whereas the Nintendo and Sony D-pads tend to “rock” and pivot around the center of their D-pads. How does this one compare?
Sweet. That just made my “Might buy” to a “must buy”. I hate PS3’s trigger.
When you kitty it, toodles, you better make it so that both the analog sticks work as well.
I don’t want to MC mod another pad that has analog sticks and explain that they won’t work on ps3 mode.
Damn skippy son
Amazon already sent the notice that mine had shipped so I’ll tear it apart asap.
