Well I hate it. Because I don’t think Strider should take place in the SF universe.
I can accept Final Fight, Rival Schools and Slam Masters all taking place in the SF universe because they share a setting and themes, but Strider is about something else entirely taking place in a completely different time. There’s no reason to shoehorn it into SF. Lest next we have a little bearded man and his crazy haired college buddy deciding to build little boy robots together.
If it’s a guest character that could easily fit in the Street Fighter style/universe, I’m so in.
Like SNK’s Goro Daimon or Kim Kaphwan, the Tekken characters or the Virtua Fighter characters.
If they’re not much fitting, well, I guess I can simply ignore them as non-canon guest appearances.
Like the Tekken or MK fandoms have been doing for years.
I’m inspired because of Akira’s appearance in SF6 and I’d like this game to celebrate and integrate much more the different sides of the SF Expanded Universe, while giving a more or less balanced importance to each Street Fighter chapter and spinoff game.

Couple notes:
I take some bold choices like using Necro as the default stretchy dude, Haggar and Hinata replacing Zangief and Sakura as the new grappler and schoolgirl, respectively (but, well, I end up bringing Sakura back because you can’t have Karin without Sakura).
I still have some reservations, like including Ingrid (well, she’s the most exciting Street Fighter 0 character that hasn’t returned along with Sodom).
I think Kyoko would be a great addition actually. She might be a goofy character but they could give her a redesign and new spin. Or, who knows, introduce a character that sorts of fight using Kyoko’s fighting style, which is very badass.
Roy Bromwell isn’t half-bad either.
The Final Fight side is sort of a shame, I like DamnD and El Gado a lot but to be true there aren’t many females in the FF side (hey, what about the knife ladies from Final Fight 3) and Lucia could have a chance to return but I’d rather bring someone entirely new. Or Dean, who knows; my list could change anytime.
Same for the Slam Masters side. There are a few very exciting characters there, but very few females. Anyway.
And Remy, well, maybe I should replace him as the final character with Elena, but you know, Elena’s already returned and having another charge character is always something good.
Anyway. You can hate my list as much as you want XDD But I honestily would like something different, SFV was a nice step in characters variety instead of bringing back immediately everyone from SF2 and I pass on boring characters like Fei Long, Cammy, Blanka, Sagat, Balrog, Bison, etcetera.
Yeah, to be true I think T. Hawk should reappear, maybe with a new and more badass movelist and a character redesign like the ones most of the SF2 characters underwent in SFV.
I thought the same for E. Honda, too bad they completely dropped the ball and just reused his same movelist of all time, they had the chance to completely evolve him.
