C’mon Kusanagi.
You can c’mon me all you want but I’m just saying don’t put the 80’s movie on some kind of legendary status when it had some silly and dumb shit in it as well. People love to say that Bay raped there childhood with these Transformers series when in actuality he didn’t. He gave you robots talking, transforming, and kicking the shit out of each other and surrounded all that with a human storyline that honestly was more miss than hit. I will say that out of all the human storylines, I did like the idea of the military fighting alongside the Autobots and that whole sequence with the special forces guys taking out the Decepticons in DOTM is something I like to see in 4.
Bay had some good ideas floating around in these movies, its just he has so much other crap in it, that you can’t appreciate it.
Give Bay a competent writer in 4 and hope that he puts more focus on the robots and less on the humans.
The 80s movie had something that Bay’s TF movies don’t…a plot/storyline.
i hope you understand how excited i am to watch mark walberg in a new transformers movie. he literally plays 1 role…boston tough guy, “how you doin, tell your autobots i said hi to dem”
Mark Walberg talks to farm animals in Transformers 4.
Hey Donkey, how’s your mom?
“hey insecticon…hows your motha doin”
No mention of the gorgeous animation style, amazing soundtrack, excellent voice actors, memorable new cast of characters, Prime’s epic death scene, great action scenes, and hotrod’s underdog story?
The soundtrack alone was godly and encompassed the best 80’s music had to offer. You had hair metal, rock, glorious power ballads, and killer synthesizer work all in one sweet package!
Bay had nothing going for him in the films…
The human plot sucked, the designs were terrible, the characters lacked personality and depth which was extremely shallow even compared to its 80s counterpart, no originality and overall all 3 movies were 1 hot mess of stupid.
The 80s movie was oscar caliber by comparison.
TF4 “possibly leaked script”. So if this is true, some of the points sound pretty nice. . . . . .
TF 4 Leak
ultra magnus dying was pretty good. Them racing around making that water tornado , that whole sequence was pretty good. You sound like a complete hater imo. The animation quality, plot, music, everything about that movie was good.
If you were a kid and the year was 1986
Seriously, I love the movie, but it’s one that I watch and enjoy because it has Autobots and Decepticons literally battling to the death. The voice acting is pretty good and the cast is rounded out pretty well (outside of the Grim Reaper killing off our loved characters for the sake of profitability).
Well Bay has stated that this leaked script is false. Kinda thought so due to the time travel element.

Now all we need is Dragonball 2 announced and we should be set
So Kelsey Grammer is the next human villain. This could be interesting.
Now how bout tell us who the next Villain is!
He lends credability, Mark though is a tweener, he’s dope or cheesy…which one will we get?
- :bluu:
I am hoping for the dope side.
The less talking and more action involved typically is a good thing for Mark.
I’m still curious where they are going to go with the series at this point.
-:bluu:
God dammit.
The real problem with these movies is the writer Ehren Kruger, the writer known for such travesties like Scream 3, his [uncredited] rewrites of Scream 4, Blood And Chocolate, Impostor, Reindeer Games, The Skeleton Key and The Brother’s Grimm. The only decent movie in his filmography is The Ring, but then he wrote The Ring Two. Two of the three writers for the second Transformers also wrote for J.J Abrams Star Trek, so they’re capable writers. Ehren Kruger was brought on because he was said to have had a “encyclopedic knowledge of Transformers” so Skids and Mudflap were his suggestions. In the third movie, he was the sole writer, so it was more of the same [even though Skids and Mudflap weren’t in the movie, you still had two annoying Transformers used solely for comic relief]. This next movie will be more of the same considering he’s still the writer on board for Transformers 4. I was hoping they would get a different writer, but it probably won’t make that much of a difference
