Som: The issue with the layout on the panel for cvs2 and mvc2 is that the button spacing is off from standard button layouts. This was due to ATG (Air Tight Garage; original arcade name) having it’s own custom cabinets and made for casual gaming not competitive gaming.
We will have the new panels in by weeks’ end before the tournament. Tightening the sticks a little shouldn’t be a problem either.
For those that have problems with controls and such on games, I repeat, let us know. We can’t fix something if we don’t know there’s a problem. We run game tests for all the games every few weeks but inbetween the time we run the test again, games do go down. So try to notify someone that works at P1 if you have issues with the games.
Marvel and CVS2 players tell me all the time now if there are problems and I, for one, make an attempt to fix the minor problems ON THE SPOT. This is not a gaurentee that the game is going to be fixed right then and there all the time but if we at least know there are things wrong we can fix them asap as opposed to when we do our next game test.
Already aware of this. Player 1 monitor for vf will be replaced before the tourney. For those that aren’t aware. The setup for MVC2, CVS2 and VF is each player has their own cabinet, monitor and controls.
For those curious about the button layouts; they should be in by tomorrow night (latest saturday morning prior to us opening). We’re just putting the final touches on the new panels since we had to make all new custom panels. They’re looking good. And again new sticks and buttons will be put in for the tournament.
So with people saying they will show up and from the people that have pre-reg, it looks like vf4 is a go for the tourney as long as all those people show up. If not, it’ll be on free play during the tourney.
New panels with new button layouts are on cvs2 and mvc2 (sacrificed the artwork to make sure the panels could be used for the tourney. Will have art on them in the future.)
Tourney games will be on free play at least 30mins prior to the tourney for those that are early and want to practice some before hand.
Rush and Som I’d like to apologize for not replyin to your posts prior to the event. I’m sure you all noticed I was all over the place making sure everything was ok. Glad you guys made it out.
I would like to openly thank all those that came out for the tourney. It was rough and we tried to do a little more than we probably should have. All to be expected for our first tourney. It was a whole lot of fun though and I believe a success with the decent turnout. You guys made it happen. To this I say:
:lovin: THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT!!! :lovin:
Special thanks to Dan for helping run the SC3 bracket. Dan = da sh*t!!
We will definitely try to do more tournaments. I’ll also post results either tomorrow or monday. GGs to everyone that came out.
Side note: Puzzle Fighter tourney Nov. 4th!!!
Will post further details when finalized
Cool tournament… SC3 got ran smoothly with no real problems exept for some people who didin’t show for their matchs which usually happens anyway. Just don’t have preregistration and you’ll be better off, just have onday registration its alot easier. SC3 results: 1st Rushdown 2nd Lam 3rd Bohnett 4th Geffen
ggs, guys. Any where I can get alcohol and play games = win. I’m just a little upset with myself because I was soooooooooooooooo fucking rusty.
next time cvs2 1 game in the first round(maybe second) and 2/3 after that. It’s funny, cuz I was like “this tournament is going to last 6 hours”. It’s cool though because you guys aren’t used to having tournaments. I’d really like to run cvs2 next time.
Thanks for throwing a fun tournament.
Edit: some stools would be nice, the chairs were hella low. It was hard to do stuff some times.
