Okay since i had an epiphany while i was sick i thought of some solid new teams to play with and one of them happened to have one of my favorites in it (Haggar)
I was thinking haggar(lariat), iron man(repulsor), and magneto(emd) kind of my own little version of fooblat on crack lol any advice/tips are greatly appreciated!

ticking a piledriver after a blocked (or even hit) air L seems legit.
Want some advice? Drop ironman, dude is ass, and not the eva mendez type of ass either. lol, don’t mind me Im just being an idiot. Seriously though I don’t know how haggar/disruptor will work, it seems to fast for haggar to use.
On a separate note, can anyone give me a basic rundown of haggars neutral game? Im trying to improve my play beyond simply jumping and spamming the pipe. I usually just call my assist and wave dash behind it but haggats wave dash is atrocious so should I be using the :dp: :atk: instead to close the distance? Or maybe super jumping behind the assist call.
And once I do get in, how does one counter push block? I kept trying to tick into a command grab with cr.:l: but my ass kept getting pushed right back out. Im guessing :f: :h: :dp: :l: will help with that.
Personally i use jumping pipe, assists empty jumps violent axe L and mixup hoodlum L/M. Take that with salt as I Am ass.
I feel Haggar should stagger his dash as opposed to wave dash. His dash covers lots of ground. And two staggered dashes will yield you better results then 4 x wavedash. Be patient. He has life. Don’t forget about whiffing sky high backdrop when super jumping to throw off what people will do.
Bum is good at getting in he once streamed a tutorial on how to get in but i don’t know where it is.
Edit: I play Haggar Dante Magneto. Disruptor is fast so it shuts things to let him in. He can combo off it with any throw. Its fine. Not Haggar’s best assist but it works.
I want to try Haggar’s violent axe in a crossover counter setting. If it is viable then it may just be great for counter into combo. Or perhaps it’ll just be time to stick to Lariat.
Yeah… No. I will stick to Lariat if i want a cross over counter. I may just go back to Lariat though. nah. Lariat doesnt work with Dante and Mags
Really? It seems like it would work with dante at the very least, teleport shenanigans and shit. I also saw ranmasanma using it with magneto for some fly over incoming character mix-ups(lariat that is).
I use Haggar axe mostly fir protecting Dante teleport air guns
Seems like lariat would work aswell while also giving you the advantage of a semi-invincible assist and a-correct me if Im wrong-fully invincible crossover counter. I mean I see viscant and roachking running that thing and it works really well for them so Im guessing there is still potential in there, we just dont have the uber cheap hard knockdown anymore. Plus I just don’t see much potential in the axe, but hey if it working for you.
Anyone got any quick gimmicks/tricks for Haggar anchor? I know hes unwinnable in 80% of solo situations but he may have a gimmick or two I can use once.
do you have the lead? is time running out? do you have X factor? spam jump back pipe while in the corner. win.
Take advantage cross-ups on incoming character, tick grabs, stuff like that. If you have XF3 any combo should kill. If you don’t have XF be careful of using Lariat since it takes away health and you won’t be able to get it back. IMO anchor Haggar is mostly bad in theory. In reality (assuming you have XF3) your opponent is scared shitless because one hit can lead to their complete downfall, and I’ve managed to cheese out more than a couple wins with Haggar on anchor.
Well Im new to the character so I can’t give you anything too solid, I will recommend checking out jan, he plays anchor haggar. In fact he plays sentinel/dormammu/haggar so you might learn something about 3 of your characters from him.

yo guys. random question. I have seen Violent Axe and Hoodlum Cross up. but DOES THE AXE ASSIST CROSSUP? I wonder about that and mag’s Attraction

Thanks man. As far as cross up question, the reason why those moves cross up are because they move haggar forward as the character is incoming and the hit-boxes are far enough behind them that when a character blocks they get hit from the front. the assist is the medium version which is harder to use for cross up and the only way i can think of attraction being useful for this is using the one that pulls them down on entry. pulling them towards will make them avoid haggar and pushing them away will allow them to block correctly
It was a bit weird trying attract and axe. But Haggar hides well behind magneto. early in a combo i was using Dormammu no charge liberation. But i can’t seem to extend with dorm very well.
