What you could mess around with is calling out haggar as an assist (lariat) from about half screen and when your opponent waits/goes to punish it, attract them into it. with spacing pending you should be able to confirm of it. And worse comes to worse you can disruptor to save haggar. It’d be a creative defensive way to use those 2. Just food for thought

Yeah I was liking Violent Axe as a way to take up space and be a jerk. But I’ll give Lariat a go with that. I’lll probably switch my order and Anchor Dorm as Haggar anchor is a bad idea.

I find Haggar does Great with Dorm on my team set up, The dark hole assist pins em in place long enough that haggar gets enough time for some set ups, H DP is a risky but great set up for the corner to net up some nice damage and possible reset if needed, midscreen I like to apply L DP in some combos then go fidhing for grabs

I play Haggar for a bit before switching up to my other team Cap, Doom, Dorm

I feel you were doing suboptimal combos for 1. You touched viper and didnt kill her. If your playing hagger if you hit them they should die 1 touch. I didnt see a lot of use of Piledrivers which i think would have aided you in the long run for mind games and mixups. You NEVER snapped in strider an honestly nobody on his team was doing work except xfactor strider. I would also suggest possibly changing your team around to Wesker/Hagger/Dorm simply because i think wesker in xfactor is a hindrance and i feel him on point backed by hagger is much better. Plus you can build meter for your dormammu to comeback in the end since he is a better Anchor. just my 10 cents
game 1 of 2nd set. if you had used lariat after xfactor, doom/viper woulda died
Call me crazy. But I’m gonna go with Drom’s Liberation (with stalking flare DHC) There’s a lot of crazy going on when pillars pop up and so on… and if I can get 3 creator charges and they cant jump…
the only drawback to liberation is that it can be interrupted. and if it is you lose the charges.

I was indeed doing suboptimal combos for one thats true, by the time you finish a combo and use meter the damage should be around 750K to 800K with Haggar.
Piledrivers could have been utilized more indeed I agree, I didn’t attempt it too much in the air due to Vajira assist, snaping back the problem was truly regretted after the match concluded [Strider]
Have Wesker on point would make the team stronger in terms of MU’s, If anything the team layout would be HaggarWesker/Dorm, Dorm as anchor is too good.

No problem the only other advice i would give is too use more charge spells with dorm specifically the 2D1C. That would have made the matchup alot easier especially since he wouldnt call strider for fear of losing him to that volcano. Outside of that nice play overall
I think if your going to use the liberation assist with Hagger (or anyone for that matter) you need to be using the mixed spells…and if your using them with hagger the meteors is probably the way to go. Its a long range lockdown that allows hagger to get in without worrying about assist calls or projectile spams and mixup the oppenent with Piledriver or HL. Not to mention its a chance for hagger to punish some assist if it connects
What do you guys use for incoming character mixups with Haggar? I’m struggling to find my own.
Violent Axe M/H. Sometimes I do a simple blockstring ending with Lariat, and if they crouchblock go into lvl 3 grab.

Is it just me or is Dorm/Magneto arguably one of the best shells for Haggar? I’m starting to call it Evolution like the WWE group with Haggar as Batista, Dorm as Triple H, and Magneto as Ric Flair.
Though I think any Sparda Bro/Magneto is another top shell for the Mayor.
