thanks. missed that apparently.
i had issues with the hori stick on other adapters too. seems to be a pattern.
What happens if you plug in other wii accessories? Such as: wii-fit, Nunchuck… or a Dance Dance Revolution dance pad! lol. and whatever else can hook up to the wiimote… i’m not sure what all can hook up to that.
Don’t have a DDR Pad (though I’m fairly certain it’d work since it’s just a big CC right?), nor Wii-Fit.
Nunchuk doesn’t work. Shame, it would have been fun to use a lone Nunchuk+Mouse for FPS games outside of bluetooth shenanigans.
darn it. =(
yeah. that’s what i was thinking. I wanted to use it in FPS games.
BlueCloud I think I found away around it you need to get The Wii adaptor and Max Shooter for 360

I’m just taking a shot in the water with this but no one has tried it yet so only god knows if it lags or not.
Hi Guy, you are right … i am a staff in Mayflash …
Actually Our Wii Classic controller to PC adapter can wrok on PS3…
Your explain is very well , thank you …
So has anyone tested it with two controllers connected to the adapter on the ps3? Also has anyone confirmed lag. I’m buying a ps3 within the month and want to be able to use both of my tvc fightsticks for SSFIV and the upcoming MVC3.
EDIT: I bought one and can confirm that it does work work two sticks =D
woot, i’m buying one of these wii tvc sticks to use it on the ps3! i hope to mod the stick and put the mayflash adapter inside the case… heheeeee
I just picked up a second TvC stick (for 30 bucks at BB) and ordered one of these. Now I don’t need to invest in ps3 sticks.
I ordered mine yesterday from amazon. Should be here for the weekend!
Hey All!
Now that My adapter is here I have had a chance to test a few things. Here are some of the high(and low)lights:
-About the modes (only speaking when TvC stick is plugged into the ps3, if you want a break down of PC functions or using a CC I can give that too)
The Default mode treats the D-pad as a Ps3 Dpad, and the L and R buttons don’t work
The second mode (home+L x1) changes the Dpad to control the Left Analog Stick and allow the L and R buttons to work
The third mode (home+L x2) changes the Dpad to HID buttons 12-15 (which makes Up work as R3) and the L and R buttons work
-About the button layout
As some one mentioned before the layout is (TvC layout CC/PS3):
y/[] X/X L/L2 zL/L1
B/O A/^ R/R2 zR/R1
Home/L3 Select/Start Start/Select
There is no way to access the XMB
-As for compatibility
For PS3 Games, set it to the second mode (to enable L and R) and then adjust your controls via menu (since they definitely won’t match). The ONLY catch is the Dpad is now acting as the Left Analog stick and the game must allow movement that way.
For PS1 emulated games? Well the outlook is not so good. Since you must change the Dpad to function as Left analog stick to enable to L and R you will not be able to control the game (since most PS1 games only support digital). It works fine for Tekken 3 (since you only need the first 4 buttons and can leave it in the default mode) but if you need six, then you are going to need to swap the L/R with zL/zR wires and use the default mode.
I don’t know about PS2 games (I own a PS3 Slim)
Over all there are some major down falls to the Adapter. But for the price, if you already have Wii sticks, it will function just fine with a bit of in game tweaking.
Guys, Im really interested on buying one of this!
I’ve got a Classic Controller Pro, and that’s the most confortable Dpad I’ve had so far.
Unfortunely, I cant use an arcade stick (for while), and the Dual Shock controller is killing my fingers.
MVC3 is almost released and this may be my ultimate solution, BUT, Im a little confused about the button layout, so I ask:
Am I able to use L/ R/ ZL/ ZR all at once with this adaper?
I dont wanna be stuck to 6 buttons only. I need all 8!
I do hope someone answer me…
According to the text on the back of the box: “The L and R button of Wii Classic Controller comes with the pressure-sensitive function, but Classic Controller Pro does not support it.”
When I tested this converter with several Wii Stick PCB’s, the L and R wouldn’t register on the PS3, but ZL and ZR would work fine. The Wii TvC Mad Catz stick will be able to switch the configuration fairly easily because of the quick disconnects inside the arcade stick. On PC, all buttons will work, though, and you can assign them within the button configuration menu.
Thanks for replying, Royal.
LiberalTugBoat said: “The second mode (home+L x1) changes the Dpad to control the Left Analog Stick and allow the L and R buttons to work”, so I was wondering if on that mode, I can use all 8 buttons. Since Im going to use it for MVC3, SSFIV and MK mainly, I should have no problem with the Dpad becoming the left analog stick control.
Im gonna message him, I dont think he’ll ever read the stuff in here.
My future stick will be PS3 compatible, so I wont have troubles like that, but unfortunelly, Im totally dependend on a Dpad right now.
Wow, I neglected to read that part on the text. This is very important because, like you mentioned, all the buttons will be usuable (except the Wii Home button as PS3 Home button)
Here are all the button configuration translations:
Using the Wii TvC Exar PCB with Wii Hori Fighting Stick button arrangement
Select "Home" Start
y x L ZL
b a R ZR
…is now this with the left analog stick “Home+L button held down” mode
Start "Home" Select
[] X L2 L1
O /\ R2 R1
Hori Wii Fighting Stick on PS3
Hi guys and HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!
I’m back after a long silence here and I come to share with you my experience. I’ve uploaded a video on Youtube where I show the problem when you plug a Hori Wii Fighting Stick in a PS3 using the Mayflash Wii-USB Adapter. The joystick gets stuck on bottom/left, even if you switch the mode by pressing Home+L. The problem appears on Playstation, as you’re on the main menu or in games like SSF4, Tekken, etc…
The fighting stick is not broken, it works like a charm on Wii and PC (using the Mayflash adapter).
If you know how to solve this problem, or if you have any suggestions, please help me (as MVC3 will be released soon !!!).
Thank you very much :lovin:

This is correct. In the second mode all 8 buttons map to the PS3 buttons
The problem is with the joystick only? :shake:
I can map the 8 buttons in SSF4.
I think I’m going to sell the stick and the adaptator.
I only tested with the Madcatz stick. According to someone earlier in the thread the Hori stick has issues with the adapter.
