I stopped playing the game at Virmire for months… and I went ahead and blazed through the rest of the game today to make sure I have SOME save that I can implant into ME2. Level 43 Vanguard baby! I don’t want to just play ME2 at level 60 from the get go, I want to do some leveling in the sequel so I’m giving myself plenty of room to do so. Now I just need to pre-order to get that crazy armor…
when the hell is this coming out? hurry up!!
I cant wait to shoot someone and throw them out a window, i was paragon shepard in the first one, but any time i get to be a badass such as previously mentioned, hell yeh
ME2’s Save Transfer doesn’t work that way, you’ll still be a level 1 Shepard no matter what you do. Having a ME1 save awards you with perks like a shit ton of starting money and I think some extra talent points or skills unlocked.
Am I the only one who fears that the Sentinel will break this game just as hard as it broke the first game, if not harder?
it’ll mainly have an effect on some of the story elements i think, like how in the first you were a earthborn/military brat/colonist who survived a massacre/was a badass/war hero and story elements tied into that… although loosely
I’m assuming the default ME2 will have a default option of certain elements that happened in the first game and it’ll run with that, whereas if you import it’ll go based off what you did in me1 - some of the perks though could be like some of achievement bonuses - spectre gear, bonus to shields, etc
Started up mass effect again. Beat the game 3 times as a vanguard and got the achievements for hardest difficulty and capping at level 60.
Started a new game this morning as a Soldier with the Lift perk taken from vanguard. I thought i could take all the biotic perks from that and use it toward another class when i started a new game…guess its just one bonus perk.
Anyway, after i beat it on soldier and get the achievements for assault rifle and sniper kills, ill play it again as engineer or sentinel. Hopefully i can find a used copy of the platinum hits at gamestop, buy it, put in the second disc so i can transfer the exclusive premium theme and Bring down the Sky DLC to my hard drive and then return it a few days later <3.
More money? You sure about that? If so I may play it some more. I think I had more cash than I knew what do do with anyway, but more couldn’t hurt.
(…actually now that I think about it I may have had maxed out credits)
I don’t think it’s your actual ME1 money that transfers over but a large set amount for people who have a ME1 save.
For some reason, I was just expecting more from Bioware on this one. Guess the recent CE packs have spoiled me (Assassin’s Creed, Modern Warfare 2), as well as the upcoming CE for God of War 3.
I don’t blame you. I’m not saying the collector’s edition of Mass Effect 2 is outstanding, but it’s not terrible either. ‘Average’ would be a good way to describe it.
Oh well, what can ya do? Such is life. Can’t wait for the game. This gaming year is going to wreck my wallet.
damnit, well then I’ll make sure I’m 60 before the second one comes out. It’ll probably take me about 2 more playthroughs, but I haven’t played the game since april of last year so I don’t mind…

New videos are up, showcasing Miranda Lawson and the Vanguard class.
Here’s some gameplay footage from a recent showing.
Miranda looks…off. And she looks like a bitch. What’s with that smirk?
Will Bring Down the Sky have any affect ME2?
nope, the DLC so far wont have any direct effect on the actual story of ME2
A new squad mate trailer is up. This time, it’s Subject Zero.

If there is a God, please let this woman swing both ways. So fucking hot.
I don’t think she’ll let a lil thing like “gender” get in the way
