Since the game is getting close to coming out, this will be the thread where we discuss it.
Everybody get hyped! January is right around the corner.
Rumors abound on what happens to squad mate X, Y, or Z. I can’t help but wonder what Liara’s role in the story will be, especially considering that she’s a central character in the prequel comic.
I’m interested in the ability to interrupt conversations and fuck people up. Like in the preview where dude is making excuses and Shepard throws him out the fuckin’ window.
Mass Effect and Fallout were the first two games that really made me want to be a bad guy. Just seeing the different stuff that comes up based on what you do in Mass Effect was nuts.
I hope that interrupt option is a frequent thing. I tend to mix Paragon and Renegade responses in the first one, and I know for a goddamn fact that I’d want to tell a batarian slaver to shut the fuck up by kicking him into an open airlock.
I usually go for pure goody-two-shoes shit in role-playing games. Mass Effect was the first one that made me want to blur the line between good and evil a bit. I’m still regarded as “Paragon” when the game ends, but I’m still a raging cunt to anyone who pisses me off. Ambassador Udina is a good example.
In games like this I always play them at least three times. The first time I play through with however I’d respond normally. The second I go through as a goodie-two-shoes with all “good” responses. The last one I try to be as evil as possible - feeding babies to dogs level evil. I’ll definitely be picking this one up though. The first one was really good so this will be a definite pickup for me. I haven’t looked at any previews for it at all because I know I’m going to get it anyway. Is there any word on a save from the first game having some benefit on the second one?
I’m defintely getting this, and I’ll actually buy it.
Yeah its a buy. I can’t wait for it to come out. Hell I might even play through the first game agian as a different class.
Finally powers getting mapped to the dpad instead of having to always access them through the radial menu.

I hope maxing out intimidate gives more crazy results, getting Saren to off himself at the end was one of my favorite moments
Easily my favorite game of this generation and my 5th of all time BUT I must admit the team AI is fucking garbage even setting the team to defensive and manually using their powers for them doesn’t stop them from occasionally running into a wall or shooting the crate next to the enemy:wasted:
I’m going to have to play through ME before this comes out since i lost all my saves
that’ll be #3 or 4!
Hope they improve the sidequests. They were boring and all the areas looked the same…

I enjoyed the first game a lot. I actually decided to visit every planet, though it was rather tedious. Killing Monkeys was oh so satisfying though.
