Mass Effect 2. Somebody's getting shot and thrown out a window

Cerberus huh
I wonder what impact a certain event from ME has on that whole dealieo

I don’t think you’re putting in another mag or anything. Whenever you “reload” you’re actually just putting in something to keep your gun from overheating.

That’s correct. They’re called ‘thermal clips.’ Apparently, for whatever reason, the weapons used in Mass Effect 2 no longer cool down automatically. Instead, heat is filtered into these thermal clips. The ammo meter displayed in the bottom-left corner of the screen is really just how many shots Commander Shepard has left before the clip has gotten as hot as it can get. The one thing I don’t understand, however, is why thermal clips are suddenly a necessity. I’m going to chalk it up to these new weapons being very new. This is BioWare. They never make a change this big without explaining themselves. I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt unless I’m undeniably forced to do otherwise.

EDIT:
YESH! YESH!

My god, so playing inf

Here’s a little tidbit I just noticed that I thought was pretty cool. It’s not a huge deal, but it made me grin.

Biotic powers

Spoiler

In the first game, if Shepard was a biotic, he had “L3” biotic implants, and Kaidan Alenko was wired with “L2.” The Adept video says that biotics are now wired with something called “L5x” implants, which probably explains why the biotics in this game are so much more precise and powerful. The technology has leaped forward in the past two years, apparently.

I wonder what will be the medical side effects for the new amps then (from a story perspective) as L2 were very powerful but they had headaches (if they were lucky) and L3 did not suffer from that but they were weaker than L2s. Also I have made my peace with the fact that my beloved prothean expert won’t be by my side this go round. Considering this is a possible suicide run I can see why Bioware would not want to give you the option to just murder off the whole main crew. However I expect there shall be a Reaper raid with the original crew for ME3. Is anybody getting the CE version of this game?

Right here.

Regarding the biotic amps, I’m not sure there will be negative side effects. If there are, then the only thing that all the newer biotics seem to have in common is volatility…with the possible exception of Thane.

New trailer is awesome. Grunt seems more badass then Wrex. Still wondering what happened to the old crew.

Hmm so I suspose no one will be holding any chairmen hostage this go round huh? I did like the whole culture about the biotics and their amps. I still find it funny that the asari, who at least in the universe lore don’t use amps but they make the best ones. Also…ammo is :lame: I do hope that Bioware does do better with the DLC this time around though. Then again I’m spending way too much on DLC for Dragon Age.

:looney:

I guess i shouldn’t be trying to run through the game

I like the alignment carry over. I’m about 90% paragon so I think its cool that I can keep that up without starting from scratch. Though given the nature of the “mission” I wonder just how many paragon choices will they have. I’ve got less than a month to get back to level 50…must play now…

Fuck man, I don’t have my PC save files anymore and I didn’t finish it on 360 yet.

can you transfer save files from one xbox to another?

Will have to get this one for the PC, no more xbox
:crybaby:

Unless it’s copy protected, I don’t see why not, as long as you use the same profile.

Preordered my copy when I picked up Dragon Age. Can’t fuckin’ wait.

I went pure goody-2-shoes the first time around, so I think I’m going dickhead route for ME2 (first playthrough at least).

Still, I think I’ll stick to sniping/pistol combo.

Getting it for PC as well, Bayonetta on 360 will hold me off til the 25th. :lovin:

The collector’s edition is awful. I don’t care about an art book and a DVD with behind the scenes etc.

For a collector’s edition, that’s actually pretty standard-issue. Not every game can have a collector’s edition package that’s as good as the one from Resident Evil 5 or the first Metal Gear Solid. I mean, hell, an art book and a behind-the-scenes documentary is more than fuckin’ Street Fighter IV gave us, and Mass Effect 2 costs less.
