Mass Effect 2. Somebody's getting shot and thrown out a window

ME1 codes get you NOTHING like your original. Better off doing like I did and just going back and forth from the import to the new custom until they look the same.

They need way more choices in ME3. Some of the PC mods are pretty hot.

I heard ya there. If there was an opition to nuke them both, I’ll take the opition. Her appearance in ME2 didn’t help much on letting her live after I thought she was starting to turn a new leaf after the Terra Firma sidequest. Kaidan’s okay, but sadly just hearing his VA just brings back the memories of Carth. Even after finish KOTOR a number of times, I still wanted to take it out on anybody whoever was involved with the mention of “Carth”.

I only kept Ashley alive as a romantic interests but after Horizon I was pretty close to starting the Terra Firma mission again in ME1 just to have Alenko live. On that note, is Alenko every bit of a cunt that Ashley is if you let him live?

yeah they both have almost identical dialogue

It’s Virmire where you get to choose who lives and who dies, not at the Citadel(Last time) where the Terra Firma sidequest takes place. But yeah, almost the same “OMG, you’re working for Cerberus now!?” reaction.

Threads been really quiet lately but hopefully enough you haven’t caught this yet to make it worthwhile.

Link’s title says it all.

I heard some new DLC dropped. It’s apparently another goddamn heavy weapon, because we totally need more of those. Goddammit.

I think I’ll try a soldier for my second play through on insanity. I tried with an infiltrator and got worked when I was trying to do the mission for the doctor. I got to the part where I activated one of the things down the hallway, but got jumped by all those guys with the rockets and the krogan and all that shit and fucking gave up. Fuck that shit.

Any suggestions? I really would like to knock this out on insanity, but fuck.

Try Sentinel. Everyone in fucking Insanity uses shields, and so can you. Just run throughout the whole game with that, and overloading everyone.

Or you could just try this

However, I think this is fucking ridiculous.

Soldier is the strongest classes by far, very high damage output & adrenaline rush can use for easy head shots/easy flank/easy escape, you get increase weapon bonus during AR (up to 100%, no joke) or you keep the bonus to 70% but you get 50% less damage done to health. Also you get to pick Widow and the LMG, the LMG is pretty much a heavy weapon.

Are you talking about the Warlord (okeer, the mission you get grunt) or the Professor (mordin) mission? I can probably help since i’m about to beat insanity w/ my infiltrator.

Recruiting Mordin.

Ok… I used Miranda and Zaede for this one. Miranda’s heavy warp and zaede’s sniper damage and grenades are great for armor on this mission. Also use Tungsten Ammo since it rips armor and health to shreds. Take as many of the rocket guys out as possible in a couple shots before the krogan starts moving too close. Any time a krogan shows up do everything to get rid of his armor. Warp, tungsten, grenades, sniper headshots etc. Once their armor is down have Zaede concussive shot him while you take out some of the vorcha with headshots (one hit kill even on insanity so you don’t have to worry about their health regen). If a krogan starts getting too close stealth and move your ass back into the other room until he’s down or CCed at least. After playing through most of insanity I can’t stress patience enough, since it’s early and you don’t have many defense upgrades you should never pop out of cover without your shields up because you will die. Any time you are thinking about advancing wait an extra 5 seconds to see if another wave comes. I can’t tell you how many times i’ve died thinking the coast was clear and suddenly a door opens with 6 more enemies.

BTW that video makes me want to play as a vanguard now.

I was dissapointed by that as well, I really liked Kaiden in the first game and was hoping he would join the team as well. Well hopefully he makes a return in Part 3 or something. I always liked his stories about growing up in that Biotic Academy, and the ‘mysterious deaths’ of some of the trainers/teachers etc. I love the carry-over saves, it’s a lot like the Sync-System in the Shining Force III trilogy, would be great if more of the surviving characters return for part 3 as part of your party.

I just Mass Effect 2 the other day, loved every moment of it, and can’t wait to see where they go from here. Looks like all hell breaks loose in part 3 from the ending. I might wait a bit before going for an Insane run though.

Jesus, that was like watching Tiger Wrestling at the special olympics.

Is it just me or Insanity is as easy as hardcore except for a couple of fights? From the top of my head, only the platforms at the “ghost ship” and any mission where Geth Hunters involved are noticeably harder. Oh and the final boss is also a lot harder since the Harbinger actually tries to rush you down instead of waiting to get killed by the boss. But other than those I don’t see a huge difference in difficulty.

Oh, and the new DLC character looks pretty cool

Amidala + Bastila?

Here’s a little more info on Kasumi:
Kasumi’s Stolen Data DLC

From the looks of it, Kasumi seems like she will have around the same amount of content as Zaeed (maybe a little more, considering that you get a new SMG on her mission). It would be nice if she were given some actual dialogue outside of her recruitment/loyalty mission (rather than Zaeed’s monologues), but I guess we will find out soon enough.

I’ll get this DLC, but Kasumi could look better… She looks like any old NPC.

I have few hopes for Kasumi as far as her skill set, and I expect her to suck. BioWare royally screwed a good number of the squad mates, especially Jacob and Jack, when it comes to their skill sets, while others are just too good(Miranda). I refuse to believe that they didn’t know how important resistance denial would be at high level, and I refuse to believe they didn’t notice how shotguns blow so much dick. The first game wasn’t shot to shit by having Lift and Singularity work on shielded enemies, so I don’t understand why BioWare felt the need to make them shitty. Biotics in general are fucking Roll tier this time around.

 • too… good!

 • … I just got on ME 1 a few weeks ago. Very interesting game! Definitely going to pick this up! Where’s a good place to get meds in the game?
