PROTIP: On the planet scanning screen pulse your LT you’ll get a much faster speed, and should still be able to catch most of the spikes.
for tali
[details=Spoiler]Yeah, when I sent her through the vents, she died as well. But when I chose legion, everyone survived.
I used Legion in the vents, Garrus for the fire team leader both times, Samara to escort people back to the ship, and Jack to make the biotic barrier[/details]
I don’t get it, is there something I’m not doing properly? Is there one of the three conversation options before I should choose?
whose the leader of your second fireteam? is he/she loyal?
Samara. Yes, she’s loyal, but I never thought that would affect the other person. I’ve been told Miranda and Jacob are good choices, as well. Maybe I’ll give that a shot. Can anyone verify this?
Yeah, thats where you went wrong. Miranda/Garrus are the best candidates for that job. Not sure about Jacob though. Remember they also have to be loyal.
Alright, I’ll give that a try. I thought Samara was a good choice. Miranda even makes a comment about how it was a good choice, as well. Smart-mouth bitch. Sweet ass, smart-mouth bitch…
I think my heart cracked a little when I realised that Miranada had no interest in smashing front-bums with femshep.
Damn shame.
Anyway…thanks.
Who I used:
Tech: Tali
Shield: Samara
2nd Leader: Garrus (both times)
Crew Escort: It doesn’t really matter but I used Thane. Most people who I’ve talk to/read posts from used Thane or Grunt.
Tech - Tali/Legion
Leaders - Garrus/Miranda
Biotics - Samara/Jack
Escort to ship - Anyone loyal
Survive the final fight - anyone loyal
Hey, guess who’s awesome? You are. Worked like a charm.
Thanks for your help.
Yeah, I’m really enjoying Reave as my bonus talent and I’ll explain why. I noticed on Insanity that any lvl4 Evolution ability that can hit multiple targets is worthless, all enemies on Insanity have Barriers/Shields/Armor and the “splash damage” those abilities provided is really gimped. I made all the lvl4 abilities for my Shepard and squad “Heavy” for max single target DPS which allows me to blow up a target quickly then move on to the next. On Insanity I do a rotation of Heavy Reave>Unstable Warp>Heavy Reave with Shepard+Miranda+Samara; this rotation blows up all enemies on Insanity except for Geth Primes, Heavy Mechs and Scions which my Widow can take care of.
I’m not knocking Warp Ammo and Tungsten at all and have played with them as well but I have so much Element Zero that respeccing to test different things out isn’t a problem. My rotation works really well on PC since I can hotkey Reave>Unstable Warp>Heavy Reave to the 1>2>3 keys without pausing combat, having Active Squad casting turned off also helps.
AI Hacking was working well for me on Hardcore but when I made the switch to Insanity I saw how useless it and Dominate where. :bluu:

If reave is that good I’m going to have to not choose Morinth over Samara on my next play through.
It’s still nice to have all the powers, so you had to get her at least once.

Furthermore, getting your brains fucked out, literally, is awesome in it of itself. Also, during the proposition I LoL’d at the option “No thanks, I’d rather live.”
I mentioned that to someone a few pages back. It is crazy how much faster it makes probing and it becomes a lot less tedious. I got all ship upgrades in no time at all by doing this and just hitting the rich planets.
Is there anyway to get a look at your shepard VI? I tried looking for a place to put it in my room, but I guess u can’t put it in there.
Going to see what the hype is with sentinel on my 3rd run (wow I spent 60+ hours so far -_-) but currently engineer is tops imo, attack drone is almost TOO good and incinerate is still the most useful ability overall. Heavy charge is pretty fucking awesome maybe on insanity it won’t be as good but on veteran it rapes combined with improved cryo ammo I can freeze and shatter an army by myself and if I’m in a tight spot area reave FTW!
In ME1 Sovereign says he “has always been”. More then anything else I’m curious to see the “lost crypts of the beings of light destroy the synthetic machine devils”. They just cannot have an obscure volus hint to existence of an anti reaper life form only to completely ignore it in ME3, if that was the case I’d almost completely dismiss ME3 as garbage plot wise.
Not sure if I should go with infiltrator or sentinel now grrr. Also after getting a good feel for all ammo I’d take incinerate over warp any day because incinerate does more against health and especially armor which is wayyyyy more prevalent then enemies with barriers at least on veteran and probably insanity as well. Cryo ammo is great too because it freezes enemies almost instantly allowing you to nullify an entire group whether they have barriers, armor, or both, and frozen enemies take more damage.
Yo Zoo, Tech Drone and Cryo Ammo are garbage on Insanity, you’ll see once you start. Infiltrator and Sentinel are where it’s at on that mode. Cryo Ammo gets resisted unless shields/barriers/armor are taken down first but once you break through and expose their red health they die almost instantly to gunfire anyways and Tech Drone dies so fast on Insanity too. :bluu:
Does Warp Ammo count against the warp 25 enemy barriers achievement? I chose that when starting on Insanity since I never got the achievement on normal but I haven’t got a clue whether it actually counts or not.
If it doesn’t what should I be using out of the available loyalty abilities (I’m a Infiltrator)?
I have to say, Bioware did a pretty good job with the Afterlife club on Omega. If you have a decent sound setup with your TV, it does a good job of making it sound like you’re in some electronic club. I like how you can hear the music outside the club, and then as you walk closer it grows louder, and then as you walk onto the floor, the music suddenly starts blasting. And then as you walk through some dark pathway, the music you first hear fades except for the bass, and as you enter the next room, bam, some hard-hitting electronic music.
Back in my early twenties I used to hit up either hip hop shows, raves, or clubs sometimes even 2-3 times a week, and for some reason, I felt a little nostalgic when I first explored the Afterlife Club in Omega, haha. All it needs is a bigger crowd of people dancing and walking around, other people lying on the floor “rolling” their asses off, and some shady cat trying to slang shit by constantly chanting, “Ex…doses…shrooms…” It kind of made me want to hit up a rave again for old times sake, although I don’t think I’d have the energy to hang until 6-8 in the morning anymore (unless it’s Vegas).
It doesn’t. However, an Infiltrator should use Warp Ammo anyway. It’s fantastic.
One interesting fact, though…if you order your squad mates to use Warp, then it counts toward the achievement. I got the achievement just by taking Thane with me everywhere.
