Mass Effect 2. Somebody's getting shot and thrown out a window

So I got a couple of questions:

So about starting the game over, when I finished the game, I had uploaded my my completed save file from ME1, which was a Renegade play through. So to keep things consistent, I went Renegade in ME2. Now though, I want to do a Paragon play through, so what would be the best way to do this? Do I have to make a brand new character in ME1 for that, or can I just finish it with the same ME1 character and just make Paragon options? Will that over-write my previous play through? I really want to be able to do with without having to make a brand new character since in ME1 I’m almost level 60, but at the same time, I don’t want this to over-write my renegade play through.

Also, I still have not downloaded any special DLC armor, though I have two of them(Dragon and Collector). How is this done? I read people’s cards weren’t working and the directions seem to be weird, so can anyone help out?

Has anyone used maxed out cryo rounds on Insanity to see how they scale? Missed it if someone asked before, but after using them mostly for shits and giggles on a normal game, I was curious if insanity makes them even more viable, or they turn completely useless. I get that other rounds are better purely for min-maxing things on an Insanity play through, but my only gripe on normal was things died to quickly with the LMG as a Soldier to really use any round, let alone take enough damage to freeze, be it crowd control or to shatter an enemy.

Just curious if Insanity enemies, with presumably as much or more health, shields, and now armor, than they had in ME1, with maxed cryo were easily frozen, freeze the same as Normal enemies (ie. the round is arguably useless), or if that extra time it takes to drop someone leads to them being frozen enough to crowd control and/or shatter guys.

WOW! Ok, I laughed way too much at that, like, WAY too much. GG Bioware.

Browser screwed up, double post.

Improved cryo ammo+heavy charge=gg.

That’s what I’m saying. Heavy charge + shotgun to the face is pretty effective too.

so i want to know how much playtime i have left

I am here

Spoiler

just did legions loyalty quest and EDI is deciphering the IFF system, meaning i assume im about to go into omega 4? not sure, but how much game is there left?

You are here

Spoiler

About an hour or two. Once EDI does the job and you head off you are nearing the end, but it’s a brilliant end.

=(
better be brilliant… feels like the whole game is
GET A TEAM
BEAT THE GAME

Finally got around to starting my game last night. I’m liking it so far.

did you get a team yet?

Kinda
I just got the Normandy so only Miranda and black dude are in my team.
I only played for an hour or so last night. I plan on playing pretty much all day today.
according to my top post, you are halfway done then!

all jokes aside, this game does feel like like small filler inbetween 1 and 3, like 1 slice of thin ham in a sandwich
its centrepiece is the omega 4 relay and doesnt feel like there is anything else but making up your party and going through the relay

however i still love it and will play it through again
just wish there was more to the main story (cause all the side stuff is pretty neat)

Dr. Pepper and ME2

In case this hasn’t been posted yet, and even if it has a reminder won’t hurt. Want the Dr. Pepper Promo items? Just did this and downloaded the three items courtesy of CAG.

I’m equipping them at this very moment, they don’t look too bad.

Edit=> While they don’t look bad in game, I’m still hoping for the ability to either darken the Sentry interface, or some other item that makes it a solid/more solid looking. Why? Need any other reason?

so i need 3 emails to create 3 dr.pep accounts?

I agree completely. It seems more of a way of just introducing new characters and giving number three some solid ground. A huge proportion of the game is just get this person, do the loyalty quest to get a brief overview of their history and then go kick ass.

The game should not be this enjoyable, they turned it into what I hate about a lot of games. But it is.

The OST is just as awesome this time around. The theme that you’ll be hearing throughout the last part of the game is great.

Thanks for the links Column, I’ll try them out now.

Nope, only one for the EA account. Like the first post says, make a Dr. Pepper account each time. They do ZERO e-mail authorization on the Dr.Pepper account. So I put in false info. on the Dr. Pepper account three times, and then after copy-pasting the codes from the first post, I entered my EA/Bioware/Bioware-Social/Whatever the hell their system is called now, email and password. Same info. you used for Cerberus Network, pre-order items, dragon age, collector’s, etc. stuff All the stuff showed up on my account no problem.

Basically, enter fake info three times to create three seperate Dr. Pepper accounts (Everything can be the same but you will need three separate e-mails this, like gmail1, gmail2, gmail3).

Click enter/submit, asks for the code, copy paste one of them in. Pick your reward after selecting Mass Effect 2 from the game list.

THEN the EA/Bioware account pops up. Enter your legit info here, all three times. As mentioned above it needs to be the info. used to obtain inferno, dragon age, collector’s, etc. gear so you can download it for PC and/or 360.

Let me know if it doesn’t work as I used the first three of the four codes and hit no issues.

No problem, happy to spread as much ME2 love around as possible. As you said, by all accounts playing Noah and gathering one of each kind of alien capable of fighting, and possibly screwing, should not be this much fun. But it just works, LOVE the cast of this series. ME3 is either going to be my favorite game of all time or the first time I ever start destroying everything in sight due to how much of a let down what should have been perfection turned out to be.

oh they dont authorize hahaha
wicked

Just nabbed the sentry interface and the recon hood. I thought these would have been region locked somehow as I don’t remember seeing the promotion anywhere in the UK, but it’s worked fine. Thanks again.
