there, fixed again for you.
yeah, about the notation you had just described, can you explain it a little better for me? the numbers in your notation stands for the attakc buttons, right?
Superjump cancel into instant aird dash must be a tough one to get out.
anyone with any help on this will be appreciated.
anyone can tell me the notations for his corner infinite, the one where he keeps you on the wall in mid-air? It looks simple enough. like you only have to drum a few buttons while jumping repeatedly. but i know it cant be THAT simple.
I just found this game in my attic a few weeks back. I couldn’t believe thats its in my possession, and not lost somewhere the city dump or in some dog’s mouth.
I read the earlier pages, and there was a tier list saying how Spider-Man is good. I really dont see any advantages he has. from my little experience, if he doesnt have a guarenteed infinite, he isnt good.
the Spiderman infinites Ive seen tend to “wear off” after a few repititions.
So tell me, how is Spiderman a strong character again?
I’m in the contributing mood today. I’ll look for the DarkStalkers/Vampire Hunter threads and share some shit on there. I know DS/VH better than MSH.
Yeah, I actually want to know some shit about Spierman too.
maybe his advantages/disadvantages are the same as they are in MVC1.
oh yeah, and whatever he said about the Ironman infinites, please go in further detail.
I just got my copy from ebay last week. been meaning to try it out for a while.
I’ll post the Ironman shit later on today when I get to a desktop.
infinites =/= character being good
It’s all about mixup and resets really.
Ironman…C.light kick, S.medium kick, S.jump as soon as the MK connects, Air dash forward as soon as you jump, J.light kick, J. medium kick, H.punch, repeat in full from C.light kick. You can use S.light kick also to start.
If they hit the corner, trip into S.jump and air dash down and C.light kick as they hit the ground then S.medium kick, S.hard punch,S.jump CANCEL off that into the airdash into J.light punch, J.medium punch, J.hard punch, land, jump up and repeat from J.light punch.
I hope that jumbled mess helps as Gamefan used to do it this way and I learned from them.
Any tips for Psylocke? Seems to be a rather unpopular character, and thus, hard to find info for.
I still don’t know EXACTLY why she is bottom to most, as I know some good Psy players that give my Ironman a hell of a time. It probably has to do with her damage output and wonkyness of her launcher setups but don’t quote me on that shit because that’s just my personal experience and from what I generally see happening most of the time.
I’m going to pick her up fully to make a SOUND judgement on that issue.
I play this game a lot when I’m bored out of my skull, but I’m not too good at it.
Anybody got any tips for Captain America?
“Get out” is the best tip I can give you.
You won’t get any of the terms and notations we use here. This isn’t Smash so you can’t spaz around until you hit something.
Don’t worry everybody, I know this guy IRL. He won’t bother you guys. Cause if he does…
I’m not going to take your bait, Ashton. Don’t you have anything better to do than taunt someone who’s not even in the same state?
I know what the notations in this game are. I just don’t know any of CapAm’s bread and butter combos because I never really gave a shit. Beyond the magic series I never bothered to find out anything else.
No, I don’t.
The fact that you came in here asking about strats for Cap when there is another thread that has been mentioned and linked has strats for him makes you pretty stupid though. I even posted some random shit in that thread about him.
And too many people love it when you get murked so I’m just keeping the trend going.
don’t mind lobelia, the kid sucks too much even if you did post a basic B&B.
I know him in real life, man. That’s the god’s honest truth though.
He trolls in game strategy forums so that should tell you something.
Agreed with whoever mentioned this for GGPO!
Anyways, yeah, I don’t know why Psylocke is low either. Probably is missing a few key things that other good characters have. But man, how I love the ability to instantly dash from a standing roundhouse. And Psy-Malestorm does damage! I’m saddened that she’s missing all of this in Marvel2.
Power Gem+Maelstrom…wow…
she eats a big combo a lot of the time when you jump in hp, dash c.lk c.hp. the c.lk pushes them too far if they block, and the c.hp whiffs completely. of course you can lk psy blade after, but plays who know this will 1 frame s.mp (spidey/captain america) or reversal super of some sort =[.
so since her fastest low chains aren’t as good as the rest of the cast, she can be punished from her air combo into super a lot of the time. to add to that, her infinites are really hard.
so basically, psylocke takes small hits and you have to land a lot to kill the opponent. but she’s pretty good at it though, you just need to be a lot more careful than the opponent if he has a top tier.
So someone clear this up for me.
Is this one of those games that people play for the fuck of it and don’t really take it seriously, or is it actually a pretty good game that could, in theory, be taken seriously?
Just out of curiosity. The reason I ask is because the four times Shishioh and I crossed paths he was playing a lot of obscure-ass fighters like Rumble Fish and shit. As far as I can tell, it’s kind of his thing, which is pretty cool. If I weren’t a worthless player I’d probably do the same thing, instead of play Smash.
So I guess this question’s more directed at Shishioh than anyone else. Is this one of those games that you just play for the fuck of it, or is this actually one of those kickass fighters that time just forgot?
I play when others want to play. I don’t play Capcom games online because of the framerate issues on Kaillera so don’t ask me.
I only play with one person at the moment and and training him to be a random beast also.
