Marvel Studios | Hide Your Eyes, Hide Your Ears

Your Movie Suck’s review. Points out a lot more plot holes then I had even realized.

That video is a whole lot of complaints about story decisions made and not really understanding what’s going on. The point in a movie is to display conflict and tension in (more often exaggerated than not) reality. Perhaps it did a poor job in a few instances, but no one (even in day to day life) can say they have “S Ranked” the week because each and every decision was spot on. Actions of said character have to be believable and that ultimately is subject to the viewer. We have a franchise where in a previous film a guy with a bow and arrow fought off an army of robots. None of this really makes sense.

Since plot hole is getting thrown around, some decent viewing material about the subject. I didn’t time stamp it in case you wanted to watch the whole thing. At 7:35 it drives the point home. Coincidentally it’s from an episode of Community.

My one big issue (as pointed out in previous posts and in the Your Movie Sucks video) is due to the story breaking a world building rule that they took time to explain. Sure there was a clarification made by the directors, but clearly it was done to service the narrative not the “logic” of the film. Does it matter as presented. . . . . yes and no; more so because it bookends an arc more than anything else. Now with the Russo’s explanation and coming away with the fact it was just artistically better that way, it’s fine. That was the only moment that made me go. . . . Hey? For the most part the character arcs resolve beautifully and that is a feat within itself. Does it mean this movie sucks now, not at all.

I did laugh at my brother’s thought about this movie:

Summary

Man that movie was good but that stuff with time travel means they can slide bullshit in anytime they want

EDIT - So in watching YMS video, Nando’s channel created a video essay on how to fix one of the final moments in End Game. Since it’s spoilers, I’m hiding it.

I wouldn’t go as far as to say the shows are non canon. The easiest way for the show to clear up the contradiction is to say the monolith uses different mechanics to time travel but that would needlessly confuse things even more. It’s best to not go down that road.

I think that was Stu’s point.

Hulu just announced a Robie Reyes Ghost Rider series, hopefully they get the same actor from Agents of Shield back. That season was arguably the best one of that show

It is the same actor

I hope that “Ana Hellstrom” is Satana. Seriously underrated anti-heroine.

Awesome! Wait, I don’t have Hulu.

Not saying the shows are non-canon, just secondary canon. Everything about them hold true til something in the Films contradict it, then that one aspect of the TV show is considered non-canonical in terms on how it all gets represented.

Or maybe it’s just better to say “Its comics, things is is what ever the writer at the time say it goes until another later writer contradicts this to tell their own story”. The actual comics is so filled with contradictions. Marvel is one thing, but DC is much, much worst for this.

No, he does not get one. Stu just want to be a 2nd Alpha Charlie here.
Disappointing as Stu should be better than this shite

Shit Disney owning everything is finally working against me. For years Hulu I could always say 'No thanks ’ no matter their programming but Luna’s Robbie Reyes was damn good. If the series is as good or better… fuck maybe I can drop another sub for a bit to just sample Hulu.

Summary

Just came across an article so given how much RDJ makes off each movie, it shouldn’t be a surprise they killed him off. As for Steve, I am willing to accept the alternate timeline theory because him sitting back while Bucky is used and abused for decades and ultimately kills Howard Stark and wife seems like a dick move not worthy of this version of Captain America.

If the shoe fits, lace that thing up.
You went out of your way to piss and moan about it.
And I am calling it as I see it.

You hated the film months ago, and you do everything you can to hate on it now despite we getting the point. The only thing you haven’t done which Alpha charlie done yet is post long videos on how the movie was bad.

Just do us all a favor and 8 months down the line start to post how you hated the film.
Your better than Alpha Charlie man.

Changed my mind. Endgame was hot trash. Rather watch TLJ and the finale Disney bout to shit out.

Now you’ve really gone mental.

I’ve never said the movie was bad though? Nor have I shit on anyone that likes it. I’ve just been having a discussion about why the main plot element pisses me off and why things of its ilk have always pissed me off. The MCU did the one thing I was reaaaaally hoping they’d never do. Within the universe they literally had no other choice, and I get that. Doesn’t mean have to be OK with it and just “accept it” though.

All I’ve said is that it’s a disappointing and seemingly lazy way to conclude a 11 year 22 movie arc. If they somehow manage to fix all the issues I have in phase 4 than peachy. That’ll be awesome. As of now I don’t have a lot of faith that they can. But if I’m proven wrong? Awesome. I’ll eat crow.

And despite how I feel about most marvel movies I usually go in pretty optimistic cause as much as I hate how modern mainline marvel/dc comics are handled with constant retcons, reboots and all sortsa dumb shenanigans I still love all the IP’s a lot. Always will and it’s awesome to see the characters I love on the big screen. That optimism usually changes throughout the movie. Sometimes for better, sometimes for worse. Certain movies I hated when I saw in theaters I end up really liking or loving later upon another viewing. Infinity War was one, so was homecoming, as was Winter Soldier.

Maybe the same will happen with End Game? Who knows? :woman_shrugging:t3: I mean, opinions are allowed to change, yeah?

Also, my marvel x adidas shoes just came in. I haven’t opening the boxes they came in yet though cause I was eating breakfast when they got here. I’ll take pics of them later tho.

Hated WS after seeing it in theatres? My god.

This is a whole new level of contrarian thinking.

Spy thrillers have never been my jam really. But between then and now my taste in things have changed a lot.

Like I said, opinions are allowed to change. That’s literally why they’re called opinions.

But even the action was insane.
