I maintain it’s simply too soon for the Shuri character to make a jump like that.
BUT. I have to admit, if Disney wanted that, they have now an extra tool. They could give her her own Disney+ miniseries focused on her road to succession (like they’re doing with Falcon & Winter Soldier, more or less).
Whatever, I would rather like to have Shuri in an Agents Of G.I.R.L. Disney+ show.
I loved the comics and I think they have a great message to spread out there. And it would feel quite organic considering the social help foundation they set in the end of BP.
Of course there would be no Wasp. But they could have Scott Lang’s daughter instead of her.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, it looks like Disney didn’t know about Chadwick Boseman’s cancer and didn’t have a contingency plan. So, everything’s up in the air.
I was thinking Boseman would have told them something. Maybe not the whole deal, but something that would let the top dogs plan accordingly. It’s crazy to hear Feige was just as surprised as us.
