Tyrone makes a good point, Chadwick would have made Disney aware of his cancer, Disney has more than likely planned for this and has already made a decision.
Remember him for all the good he did, how he lived life not just for playing a superhero.
Edit had no idea Tyrone was a cancer survivor himself.

I’ve been wondering if I should check up on my boy who did the stunts for BP in civil war. I know the character meant alot. Wasn’t sure if it’s appropriate or not.

I think it would be. When the shooting happened at the Mosque in New Zealand I messaged my friend back home to see how he and his family were doing. Even though they knew no one there it was still an attack on their faiths and beliefs. They’re connected.
In the same way If he worked on the movie he’s connected to Chadwick in someway. As was everyone who worked on that movie. You should reach out
